Myface Mymix Foundation

I was recently lucky enough to win a Myface Mymix Foundation from the lovely Nat of Raspberry Rouge. I generally stick with tinted moisturisers during the summer months, but as that's now sadly over, it's been time to look for a foundation for those days where I desire a bit more coverage. And I think I've found it!

When it comes to foundations, I prefer liquid ones that aren't too heavy and enhance my natural skintone, rather than turning it a completely different colour. The MyMix foundation promises to 'deliver a modern, retouched finish' with an 'instant image upgrade', so it sounded ideal.

MyMix is a slightly runnier liquid foundation than most others that I have tried and it has a pleasant clean scent.

It blends easily into the skin without creasing into any lines or caking around dry areas. I used my fingers instead of a brush and I was happy with the result. I was pleased that it gave a semi-matte finish and it looks good! The shade that I tried is Medium 02 which is a tiny bit too dark for me at the moment, but I've used it blended with my Body Shop tinted moisturiser and it's practically perfect for my skintone right now. A new favourite!

  1. To me seems a little bit too much orange, but maybe that's because I'm so used to my Revlon one. ;) X

  2. I like the packaging and the colour looks nice too. I've never heard of this brand, any idea where you can buy it and do they have any other products? Do you apply foundation over a face primer and using a setting spray or powder? I find those things help foundation stay on 10+ hours.

  4. @Mademoiselle - Yeah this is a bit too dark for me so it does have a slight orange/tan tone to it. It looks good mixed with my tinted moisturiser though perhaps because that's more pink toned and cancels out the orange in this?

    @Karen - The packaging is really good, nice and slim for handbags etc. Myface cosmetics are available from most Boots stores and you can buy online from their website: http://www.myfacecosmetics.co.uk/home - they seem to have a big variety of different make-up products and you can shop according to your skintone which is makes things easy! I just use a bit of Benefit's Hoola bronzing powder over this or I'll use a translucent powder to mattify if I need it :)

    @Missmathful - thanks! x
