10 Films List

 (1) A Little Bit Of Heaven (2011)
I have a major crush on Gael GarcĂa Bernal and I'm on a mission to watch all of his films.  He stars alongside Kate Hudson in this romantic comedy and plays the classic doctor turned boyfriend role perfectly.  If you're after a tear-jerking chick flick with a handsome man, then look no further.

 (2) The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008)
This is another of those films that I've been meaning to watch for ages and have only just gotten around to seeing.  I really loved it and the SFX on Brad Pitt as he ages in reverse are incredible.

(3) Cockneys Vs Zombies (2012)
Yep! This movie is exactly as it sounds!  I'm a sucker for zombie films so it had to be seen.

(4) Albatross (2011)
British coming-of-age drama centered around a budding teenage writer who takes a job cleaning the hotel of a typical dysfunctional family.  It's set on the Isle of Man which looks so sleepy and beautiful.  I can't remember who recommended this film to me recently, but thank you, I enjoyed it!

(5) Prometheus (2012)
Ridley Scott directed blockbuster Sci-Fi thriller that takes place in the same universe as the Aliens franchise.  The first half is pretty slow going as most epic Sci-Fi's are, but the action really kicks in for the latter half.

(6) Children of the Revolution (2010)
Documentary interviewing the two daughters of Ulrike Meinhof and Fusako Shigenobu and how their revolutionary mothers had an impact on their own lives.  Well worth watching if you're interested in '60s political protests, especially those which occurred in Germany and Japan in response to the Vietnam war etc.

(7) The Crow (1994)
The classic revenge thriller which was Brandon Lee's last ever film.  Have lost count of the times I've seen this.

(8) The Bucket List (2007)
Starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman - two terminally ill men write a 'bucket list' detailing all the things they'd like to do before they die.  Heart-warming but has its funny moments with it.
Thank you to everyone who recommended this :)

(9) Solomon Kane (2009)
Epic fantasy action film about a man who seeks redemption and salvation for his wrongdoings, and ends up fighting with some evil bad guys.

(10) The Dictator (2012)
Hilarious political satire by Sacha Baron Cohen - need I say more?

What was the last film that you watched?  Any recommendations?

  2. I love Gael too, I had a huge crush on him when I was about 17, when Y Tu Mama Tambien came out. He and Diego Luna were so cute in the movie, although I didn't like the movie itself...that doesn't matter, it made me happy watching them! haha The last film I watched was "A Good Woman" and "An Education" on TV and I liked both of them. Now I'm looking forward to "Anna Karenina" :)

    1. I feel exactly the same way about Y Tu Mama, wasn't so keen on the storyline but Gael and Diego were both gorgeous in it! I really want to watch Anna Karenina too - the fashion and make-up looks so beautiful xx
