100 Day Spending Ban Update #2

Monday, 21 January 2013

With all the snow that we've had in UK recently, week 2 of the 100 Day Spending Ban went by very quickly.  I'm proud to say that I still haven't spent a single penny on anything from my banned list and haven't actually been buying anything other than groceries!  I still have more than enough 'essentials' like cotton wool, deodorant et al to keep me going, so I've simply been avoiding the shops (not that I can get to any of them if I wanted to - I'm snowed in!).

Paperblanks very kindly sent me this gorgeous notebook to help me keep track of my spending ban.  You might remember that my mum bought me one of their stunning diaries for this year so I was thrilled to receive this notebook.  I chose one of the Mucha designs because it reminded me of my visit to the Mucha Museum in Prague last summer, and I especially loved this piece that he did.  Like my diary, I've received so many admiring glances and compliments about it!

Want to join in and do the 100 Day Spending Ban?  Just do it!

    1. Hi Johanna, thanks for asking! If you like art I'd recommend going to the GOYA museum and the other ones on my photo diary, but there are so many and definitely check out the Mucha and Kafka museums too. If you're going for a week or less, it might be useful to go on one of the walking tours to get to your surroundings in the city, well worth it! And definitely see all the tourist stuff like the Astronomical Clock (in the main square, you really can't miss it), walk along the bridge, visit the John Lennon wall and go for a boat ride on the Charles river. Hope that helps, I'm very jealous you're going, have a great time! x

    2. Thank you those are some great tips :) and I always love a good walking tour, otherwise it's so easy to miss the beauty of a city! Definitely writing all your suggestions down!
