2013 Resolutions: Life and Blogging

Wednesday, 2 January 2013

Here are my resolutions for 2013:-

Life stuff
1.  Learn a language - either Spanish or French.  I need to pick one and make a start!
2.  Learn to drive - even if I don't end up getting a car, it'd be a useful skill for me to have and could open up some new job opportunities in the future.
3. Start saving, stop spending so much - simple really.  I'd like to start putting some money away into an ISA, and I'm going to be joining in with lots of my favourite bloggers and doing the 100 day spending ban challenge soon!  I'll go into further details about this when I officially start.
4. Continue to give something to charity each month - this can include playing the Lottery, yay!
5.  Make plans to live somewhere else - I feel like I'm stuck where I grew up, and although I like to travel and visit friends in other places as much as possible, I think it would be good for me to give living somewhere else a go.

Blogging
1.  Continue blogging on a regular basis and post something new everyday.  Scheduling posts in advance makes this so easy!
2.  Start updating A Wolf And Her Dinner at least once a week.
3.  Join in with the 100 Day Spending Ban Challenge.
4.  Get more involved with other bloggers, such as joining in with Twitter chats etc.
 5.  Start a new weekly or monthly favourite bloggers post.

What are your resolutions for 2013?

  1. Good luck with your resolutions! I'd also like to learn a language, I keep starting and giving up - I should join a class really! Good on you doing the spending ban, I just wouldn't cope but I'm going to have to rein it in a bit. Happy new year. :-) xx

    1. Thanks! Which language are learning? Bit worried about doing the 100 day spending ban, but I think with the support of everyone else, I should be able to do it. You should join in :) xx

  2. Good luck with your goals! I've been re-learning my French for a bit now and 2013 is the year I want to reach some kind of proficiency. I've been using duolingo.com if you want to have a look (if it's still in beta and you need an invite I'll see if i have any left!)

  5. Good luck with all your resolutions! :) I need to make so many changes in my life I'm going to try and juggle as many as possible this year. I'd also like to start saving this year, I have a goal on my 101 things to do list and I'm nowhere near it (I'm at £0.00) lol! xx

  7. I too plan to save and most importantly keep track of what I'm spending each month! I need to study the code to learn to drive although I wont be buying a car anytime soon! I too will do my best to blog frequently even though my schedule will be busy! Most importantly for me, I want to take good care of my skin!

  9. Great resolution!!
I don't ever really make resolutions but this year I decided to write down a long list of little personal goals I want to achieve this year. The main ones being sorting out my working life so I can become better financially stable, and to lose weight and get healthy. I'm feeling pretty motivated right now, but don't we all at the beginning of a new year. Fingers crossed for us both!!

  10. Good luck with everything! :)

I really want to learn to drive this year too. I had a bunch of lessons when I was 17/18 but was always too scared to do my test. I would like to get a bit healthier this year and spend quite a bit less. lol

  11. They sound great! I want to definitely start blogging more, I need to start making time for it. I also want to start eating healthier in general (not just every now and again) and work better (dedicate a certain part of the day to uni work and actually work then, and be happy about not working when it's time off...).
And the charity one sounds really good too, might make that one part of mine too :)

  12. Good luck Evelyn! I'm with you with the language resolution! I actually knew Spanish and French but because I haven't been using it for so long, I forgot! So one of mine resolutions is to re-learn :) X

  13. Good luck & happy new year!
I only managed to finally learn a language through picking up a French module at uni, I'd never stick at it otherwise!
