Spending Ban Update #4

Monday, 4 February 2013

Week 4 was really tough, but I haven't cracked just yet.

Well...

I caved in and bought three Rimmel Apocalips in Boots at the weekend.  As I'm sure you'll all know (given the massive hype!), these are currently on a 3 for 2 offer AND an intro price at the mo, so I really couldn't pass that up.  I bought them in full with my Boots points, so technically I haven't spent any money.  I'm thinking of them as a little freebie!

I also popped into LUSH and traded in five empty LUSH pots that I had lying around in my bathroom for a free Fresh Face Mask (I picked up Cosmetic Warrior which I'll review soon), so that'll be nice for a little pampering treat this week.

At work, I was treated to a lovely pub lunch by a colleague, which broke up some of the boredom that I was experiencing with my packed lunches.  I'm going to have to experiment with some more exciting lunch ideas for the rest of the ban now.

So I had a pretty good week considering I didn't spend any proper money!

I have serious storage envy after seeing your Muji post. Tried to comment but couldn't for some reason.

    1. I'm glad I saved mine up now, I usually spend them asap!

That's odd, I think Blogger's been playing up but thanks, I'm really happy with how it's set up now but it's hard not to just rush out and buy a couple more drawers! x

  13. One of my New Years Resolutions was no spending on non essentials, not really happened (well about as much as the exercising every day one has). It has morphed into 1 comfort purchase a month. Impressed at your will power, might have to try again starting next month.

    1. I don't think one nice purchase a month is too bad really, I think most people take these things at their own pace so if you've reduced what you spend already, then that's an achievement in itself :)
