Spending Ban Update #5

Monday, 11 February 2013

So after my wonderful 'freebie' week last time, week 5 of the 100 day spending ban has been relatively boring in comparison.

I spent most of last week commuting to Liverpool for a training course which should have tempted me into buying lots of naughty things like takeways hot chocolates and magazines.  But truth be told, I was so appalled by the prices that it just put me off!  Plus, I had so many books with me to catch up on, that I didn't feel the need to pick up any mags or newspapers to read on the journey.

Beauty wise, there have been a few things I've been lusting after, but I've just been adding them to my virtual wishlist instead of going out and buying them.  There isn't anything that I can really justify purchasing at the moment so I'm hoping it will stay that way until the end of the ban!

  2. Well done! I too picked up the Apocalips on 3 for 2 in the past week using my points as my resolve was breaking just a little and of course it doesn't count then!

It's a getting a little tough now, I feel the need to splash out on something soon...

  7. Boring weeks are good weeks for the spending ban I find. The less you go out, the less temptation there is! Keep it up :D
