Spending Ban Update #7

Monday, 25 February 2013

Last week went by so quickly, in fact, all of these weeks feel like they're flying by!

So week 7 has been OK for me.  I've been really busy with work and Uni stuff so it's been another case of having virtually no time to browse the shops, which is a very good thing for someone like me who is on a spending ban!

I went to a friends' birthday do last night which was just what I needed to let my hair down after that busy week.  I had a lot of fun, but I was definitely feeling a bit worse for wear this morning after all those free cocktails, oops!

For those who asked about Henry, he's recovering well.  He had a mid-week check up and the wound is healing quickly, so I'm glad nothing went wrong with that.

I think I'm going to schedule a few more 'Currently Using' posts over the next few weeks, as I've been going through my product stashes again and working out how much I still have left of certain things.
The simple answer to that?  I have a lot!

When this 100 day ban is over, I'll have hopefully depleted the stashes somewhat to make room for some shiny new things, but for the time being, they're a brilliant motivator for me to stick to the ban and not buy anything else.

  7. I find the most motivating thing about the ban is seeing the stash go down. I currently have an empties drawer and I'm going to show every empty I have at the end of the challenge, just to see how much I've used. So far its getting pretty full and its the biggest motivator! Looking forward to seeing some "currently using" posts from you :) Keep up the good work! :)

    1. Definitely! My empties for this month are pretty good again, so hopefully I should start to see the stashes going down - interested to see yours at the end of the ban :)
