 Betrousse Beauty Box* (£10 + P&P, link)

Betrousse have just released a brand new beauty box called 'Glitz and Glamour', and I'm happy to see that it's only a tenner plus postage as their past boxes have always been priced much higher.  As always with Betrousse, all of the contents are full sized and there's a good mix of products included.  Let's see what's inside shall we?

JASON Rosewater & Chamomile Normalizing Shampoo (£7.79)
Always happy to see a JASON product!  This shampoo is SLS & paraben free, and is suitable for all hair types.  It uses rosewater and chamomile to help balance the scalp, which sounds ideal for me as mine is often troublesome and very sensitive.  I'm using up JASON's Jojoba Long & Strong Shampoo at the moment, so I'll give this a go when that's run out.

Fair Naturally Mango & Safflower Body Moisturiser (£3.99)
Haven't heard of this brand before but they're made in the UK and use fairtrade ingredients which is always good.  The scent is light and pleasant, plus it absorbs into the skin quickly, so I'll look forward to using it.  Only downside is that it's not as 'natural' as it appears to be.

 Tul├ęcos Tonifying Oil (£33)
Now this is different - it's a tonifying oil for your feet!  Packaged in a luxe bottle with a pump, this is 100% natural and 95.49% organic.  It has a strong peppermint scent and doesn't feel greasy.  I may be in the minority here but I like looking after my feet so this is perfect for me when I do my pedicures.  There's also the chance that you could receive the Relaxing Oil instead which sounds lovely.

Benta Berry G-1 Exfoliating Facial Cleanser (£14)
I've tried one or two Benta Berry products in the past and they don't agree with my skin unfortunately (I think it's due to the perfume used in the range), so I'll be giving this to someone else.  For those who are interested, Benta Berry are a French brand who are cruelty free and don't use parabens.

Makebelieve Shimmer Lip Gloss (£10)
My first impressions when I saw this was that it was super glittery and something I would probably never use.  However, I liked the nude shade of it so I applied a little and was happily surprised by it.  Instead of the 'full on teen glitter gloss' look I was expecting, I got a nice subtle sheer shimmer result instead.

Summary:  I think this is a great box for £10, and the contents combined are worth around £70.  Not bad at all!

Would you buy this Betrousse box?

  1. I was momentarily interested in the Fair Naturally Mango & Safflower Body Moisturiser as not heard of that but then I read your comment *sigh* I wish the word "natural" was regulated in some way.

    1. Yeah I was really excited about it and then saw that the second ingredient is 'Paraffinium Liquidum' - not exactly what I was expecting to see! I was also hoping that it would have mango butter in it, but it's actually just mango extract. I guess that's why it's £3.99 for a 200ml tube, but it's annoying how it practically screams 'natural' and isn't so x

  2. Amazing to see full sized products for a tenner plus p+p! But I too agree that the term 'natural' really should be defined more as it is very misleading. But I guess until they change regulations it means 'natural' can cover a multitude of products x

    1. Yep it's great value! Sadly, I think it will always be a grey area in the beauty industry but I'm seeing lots of new properly natural brands coming to the market because of consumer demand, so perhaps more will follow their lead :) x
