Budget Beauty: Naked Starflower & Orange Blossom Body Wash review

Wednesday, 18 September 2013

At the weekend I popped into town to source a birthday gift for a friend.  Knowing that said friend is a fan of quirky, handmade things, I headed to my local Oxfam which stocks an array of brand new fairtrade goodies.  Whilst I was in there, I noticed that the beauty section had been extended considerably so naturally I made a beeline for it, and to my delight discovered a mini SALE on!  I stocked up on organic cotton wool rounds (99p for 200, why yes please) and bought these two Naked Body Washes for a bargain £1.09 each!

Naked do a whole range of natural haircare and bodycare, all at affordable prices with most things being under £5, and bundle offers being around £9.  I've long been a fan of their Body Washes which normally retail at £3.99 each and are free from sulphates, parabens and petrochemicals.   In particular I love the Ooh La La Coco De Mer scent!  After having a quick sniff of the flavours available, I decided to go for Starflower and Orange Blossom because they both smelt gorgeous and I hadn't used them before.

Starflower
Smells like a mixed blend of Ylang Ylang, Lavender and Patchouli and uses Starflower/Borage Oil to soften the skin.

Orange Blossom
A heady, sensual scent which combines Orange Blossom and Neroli.  This one has been specially formulated to be suitable for sensitive skin.

Naked Body Washes lather incredibly well for a sulphate /SLS free formula and they feel so luxurious to use, despite being a budget friendly brand.  I always find that my skin feels much softer when I step out of the shower, and those wonderful scents linger for a good hour or so afterwards.  Highly recommended if you're searching for an affordable natural SLS free shower gel/body wash!

Have you tried any Naked products?
P.S The lucky winner of my Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette giveaway is Jenny Beauty Whizz!  Have emailed you & congrats!

  2. These sound really nice. I tried a Naked cleanser that I didn't like so maybe I need to go back and revisit the brand.

    1. I tried a foaming cleanser from them about a year ago and really didn't like it, so I'm not sure if that's the same one you tried? Their Body Washes & Body Butters are definitely worth a look though :) xx

    1. It doesn't create lots and lots of lather like SLS body washes do, but I think it creates just enough to satisfy :) xx
