I hadn't heard of Seascape before, but when I found out that they were from Jersey, my interest in them definitely grew. All of their products use ingredients which are sourced locally and ethically, and they take inspiration from their beautiful island to create some heavenly pampering treats. On top of this, they've recently been awarded the Butterfly Mark by Positive Luxury which recognises brands who take positive steps such as supporting environmental sustainability etc.
With this in mind, I was more than happy to test out two products that landed on my doorstep last week, both of which would be perfect as Mother's Day gifts.
Seascape Soothe Body Butter* (175ml, £22, link) - [shortlisted in the 2013 FreeFrom Skincare Awards]
This is a seriously rich and thick body butter which comprises of skin loving ingredients such as the unique Jersey Beeswax, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Rosehip Seed Oil, Grape Seed Oil and Sweet Almond Oil. Upon opening the glass jar, I was instantly hit with a beautiful calming scent which is predominantly Lavender, but also contains Ylang Ylang and Mandarin Essential Oils; needless to say it's very relaxing and would be perfect for a before bedtime pampering session. I love the texture of this and despite being very thick, it absorbs easily into the skin, completely eradicating any dryness.
Seascape Les Petits Body Lotion* (300ml, £12, link)
I love seahorses so of course I immediately fell in love with the adorable packaging for this body lotion! The formula feels light and has Shea Butter and Olive Oil to hydrate the skin, Lavender and Chamomile Essential Oils to soothe and calm, and like the Soothe Body Butter, it soaks into the skin quickly. The Les Petits range is specially formulated for babies and children, so this would be a lovely gift for a new mum and the handy pump makes applying it quick and easy.
Seascape products are paraben, silicone, petroleum and SLS free, and are suitable for vegetarians. They do not use any artificial colours or synthetic fragrances, and all of the ingredients are sourced from ethical suppliers. Purchase direct from Seascapeuk.com
