Love You Long Time: Apples & Pears Wild Rose Lip Balm

Saturday, 21 June 2014

In an attempt to curb my crazy lip balm addiction/stash, I've picked out a few that I'm going to make a real effort to use up.  One of the lucky ones is from Apples & Pears.

I've had this Apples & Pears lip balm for just under a year and I'm about half way through it (see why I need an intervention?!).  It marries together a lot of things that I just love:-

Gorgeous packaging - How pretty is that rose gold lid with the embossed bee?!  I've always had compliments whenever I've pulled this out of my handbag - it feels very luxe and high end.

Rose - I adore anything to do with roses!  The scent is very delicate and sweet, but there's enough freshness in there to stop it from becoming too old fashioned.

Natural formula - As mentioned in my 6 Products That I Never Buy post, I steer clear of any lip balms that have petroleum in them, and this one is 100% natural with a Beeswax, Shea Butter and Jojoba Oil blend, to name but a few.  It's very moisturising  and deeply hydrates dry lips, making them soft and smooth in minutes.

Unfortunately I believe this has now been discontinued as Apples & Pears have now become Therapi Skincare (or part of - I'm not 100% sure).  However, I have found this lip balm available for sale on Beauty Ldn for £5.95 so if you like the sound of it, snap one up before they all go!

What's your current favourite lip balm for summer?

  2. The packaging is so darn cute! I'm currently alternating between my beloved Neutrogena Intense Repair and Nivea's Lip Butter when I want something that feels heavier.
