Review: Birchbox - 'World Cup / Global Strikers' Theme - June 2014

Thursday, 19 June 2014

As an early Birthday treat, my friend Katie surprised me with a Birchbox!  I'd seen a couple of cheeky spoiler posts in advance, so I couldn't wait to open it up.

June's Birchbox has a 'Global Strikers' theme to it to coincide with the World Cup.  I'm not a football fan at all, but luckily the box itself isn't very sporty.  Instead it features an array of amazing products from around the world, and I'm very impressed to say the least!
In my Birchbox were the following:-

BeautyBlender & BlenderCleanser Solid - (full size, £26)
I've used a BeautyBlender in the past and really loved it.  Since the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge (a much more budget friendly version) came out, I hadn't actively thought about getting another one, but I'm more than happy to have it back in my life once again.  It also comes with their famous BlenderCleanser which looks like a solid piece of soap that you can use to clean the sponge with - very interested to see how well this works!

OPI Nail Lacquer in You're So Flippy Floppy - (mini size, full size £11.95)
Very cute OPI mini from the new Brazil Collection.  This is a bright vivid yellow with a textured finish - looks perfect for a fun summery mani.

Caudalie Vinoperfect SPF 15 Day Perfecting Fluid - (travel size, full size £38)
Caudalie have some great skincare products that I love, but I haven't tried this before so I'm excited to give it a go.  You can never have enough moisturiser with SPF in it!

Naobay Body Radiance Lotion - (travel size, full size £14)
You guys all know that I'm a body lotion junkie and this sounds amazing.  The description describes it as a 'lemony fresh organic body lotion with shea butter, olive and avocado oils', plus it smells really good.  Naobay are a Spanish brand I hadn't heard of before so I'm happy to be introduced to them.

The Balm How 'Bout Them Apples? Cheek & Lip Cream in Pie - (mini size, full size palette £26)
Eeeeeek this is so adorable!  I love The Balm and this looks perfect for popping into summer travel bags.  Can't wait to see what it looks like on.

Lifestyle Extra: Birchbox Brazil Inspired Keyring - Very cute :)

Summary: I think it's safe to say that this is one of the best Birchboxes I've seen in a long time.  Thank you so much Katie!

Have you received a Birchbox this month?
