One of the best things about being a blogger is being able to help promote good causes that truly deserve lots of attention.  Rooted Beauty's Woman2Woman Project is one of those good causes that I'm proud to be publicising.

Rooted Beauty are an American beauty brand with a difference.  Not only are their products derived from natural ingredients, paraben free and affordable, but a percentage of the proceeds from each product sold goes towards their Woman2Woman Project which helps women around the world escape poverty, oppression and trafficking.  Many of us are already well aware of the inequality we have in the world and the horrors of oppressive regimes always seem to be on our TV screens, but I don't think human trafficking is discussed as much as it should.  Last year I wrote an essay based on 'Trafficking in the UK' as part of a Human Rights module I was doing, and the research involved really opened my eyes to this often hidden problem.  Luckily, there are organisations out there who can and do help with these issues by empowering women through education and training, employment opportunities and helping them with their housing needs.

To fund these important projects, Rooted Beauty sells a small but mighty range of their own natural skincare products and I've been trying some of them out recently.

Rooted Beauty Lip Butter* ($4.99 each)
Packaged in a sturdy biodegradable (you can pop them in your compost bin when it's finished) paper tube, these lip butters are made from a simple yet effective blend of Beeswax, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Sunflower Oil and Vitamin E which makes them super moisturising and perfect to protect your delicate lips from the upcoming Winter months.  Each one features a different natural fruit extract for some yummy flavour too - I've been loving the Passionfruit one especially, though the Orange Vanilla and Razz Lime flavours are delicious too!

Rooted Beauty Raspberry Citrus Invigorating Facial Wipes* ($5.99 for a pack of 25 wipes)
As a general rule I don't use face wipes on a regular basis, but I do like to have a pack handy for those occasions when I need to take the bulk of my make-up off quickly before going to bed (a bottle or two of wine is usually the culprit here!).  These ones have a lovely uplifting fruity scent and are 98% natural, gluten and paraben free, and are fully biodegradable.  The wipes are soft, wet enough to get the job done and don't turn to pieces on your face when you use them which is always a good thing.  I found that they removed most of my make-up but had a hard time with waterproof mascara, something that I've experienced with many brands of wipes.  For a quick cleanse, late night situation or camping/festival trip though, these would fantastic to have on hand.

Rooted Beauty's natural skincare range is available to purchase direct from rootedbeauty.com / To find out more about their Woman2Woman Project click here.
