MAC Harmony Powder Blush (6g, £17.50, link)
The British summer weather has gone back to being its usual crazy, rainy self (again!), so I've been reaching for some 'help' in the summer glow department. My current bronzer/contour of choice? MAC's Harmony Powder Blush.
Harmony is in the matte family of MAC's Powder Blushers, making it an ideal choice for contouring and bronzing with. In the pan, it's simply a warmish nude-toned brown, plain and simple. Unlike some other bronzers or contour shades, there isn't really any hint of orange or red in it, and it doesn't come across as dirty or muddy looking.
Like all of the powder blushers I have tried from MAC, the powder is silky soft, beautifully pigmented and lasts all day.
I like to apply Harmony with the Real Techniques Contour Brush from the Core Collection. The smaller head of this brush just makes applying something pigmented like Harmony, really easy to do as it never seems to pick up too much product. If I'm going for a more bronzed look, I'll buff it out with a larger powder brush. I love it!
What do you use for contouring?
This is such a pretty color as a blush or a bronzer!

ReplyDeleteLovely bronzer x
Thanks Katie :) x
Deletethis looks amazing on you x
ReplyDeleteThanks Hayley :) x
DeleteThis looks so natural on you! I think I'm far too pale to pull off this shade, though :( I'm actually yet to try a MAC blush, most of them are gorgeous! xx
ReplyDeleteI've seen this work well on fair skintones as a contour, may be too dark to use as an overall bronzer though. I love MAC blushes, once you try one, you'll want them all! xx
DeleteThis looks lovely on your skin -- you're glowing! I use my NARS Laguna & lately I've been returning to my Benefit One Hot Minute, although it's not a bronzer it does add something to my skin! x
ReplyDeleteThanks Jayne! I have always wanted to try NARS Laguna, must pick it up one day! The Benefit sounds fab! x
DeleteThis powder blush looks perfect on your face (though I think it's not bcuz of MAC's product, but because of your face good look ;) I agree with girls, this shade is very good, and it's good idea to use it as bronser! ^^ *_* Thank you for your review and swatch!!! ^^ have a good week and be happy! ^^ Big kisses for you and one like on Bloglovin =*

I think it would if you have fair-to medium skin. Not sure it would on any skin darker than medium-olive, though you can layer it. Thanks :)
DeleteFab contour colour for fair skin tones! x
ReplyDeleteI agree! I love seeing it on my English-rose friend, she always looks so stunning with it on! x
DeleteI really like the look of this! I'm quite pale so glad to see the comment above saying it's good for pale skin tones! Your blog is making me want lots of make up today! x
ReplyDeleteA lot of people with paler skintones really rate it because it's so buildable, so you can have a very sheer amount on or if you're light olive complexion like me, you can add a few more layers :) Hehe, I'm like that with other blogs! x
DeleteThis is on my 'Makeup Wants' list at the mo. It looks fantastic on you :-) x
ReplyDeleteThanks Tiffany! Hope you love it as much as I do :) x
DeleteI am nw25, do you think will work form me? it looks very nice on you!...

I think it would, you can always layer it or apply it lighter depending on how much colour you want :)
