5 Ways To Use Habanero Hot Sauce
If there's one thing that I can't get enough of, it's hot sauce. And I like my hot sauce, really, really hot! Meet my latest obsession which I've been pouring onto almost everything; Memento Mori Habanero Pepper Sauce.

Fellow chili lovers will know that the independent hot sauce scene in the UK is booming right now, and you can find all sorts of homemade fiery delights from every corner of the country. Someone, somewhere, is always experimenting with a new chili sauce recipe, so the best places to find them are generally not in your local Tesco, but online. So much so, that my cupboard and fridge are full of hot sauces from artisan producers that I've found via social media, and my newest discovery is from Memento Mori.

5 Ways To Use Habanero Hot Sauce

5 Ways To Use Habanero Hot Sauce
The brand reached out to me and asked if I'd like to try their hot sauce, and when I saw the bottle, I instantly said yes! I mean, how cool does it look?! From the small chunky glass bottle, to the label design and the cork top complete with a red wax seal featuring a skull, Memento Mori immediately grabbed my attention and I couldn't wait to try it when it arrived.

Their Habanero Pepper Hot Sauce is a seriously hot blend of fresh Habanero Peppers, Vinegar, and Spices, and each batch is handmade in Crouch End, North London. This sauce really packs a punch in both the flavour and heat department, and it will certainly add a fiery kick to any meal! I love how fresh it tastes and you only need to use a few drops to liven up your food.

Below, I've shared five ways that I've been recently using Memento Mori Habanero Hot Sauce, but the options are endless as it's such a versatile condiment to have in your cupboard!

5 Ways To Use Habanero Hot Sauce
 1 - On Avocado Toast

My Superfood Avocado On Sourdough Toast recipe has been one of my most viewed posts this month, so if you're an avo fan and you love hot sauce, why not combine the two?! If only everything in life was this simple to figure out!

5 Ways To Use Habanero Hot Sauce
 2 - Spicy Baked Beans

Whether you like your beans from Heinz or enjoy making your own version like I have above, a few drops of hot sauce will add some pleasant heat for a super tasty side dish.

5 Ways To Use Habanero Hot Sauce
3 - Chili Infused Dipping Oil

This Chili Infused Dipping Oil idea was recommended to me by Memento Mori who suggest using two parts Extra Virgin Olive Oil to 1 part Memento Mori Hot Sauce for a delicious dipping oil that you can use with crusty chunks of fresh bread. Yum!

5 Ways To Use Habanero Hot Sauce
 4 - Over Scrambled Eggs

Spice up your breakfast with a splash of hot sauce over scrambled eggs, of any eggs for that matter - it works just as well with poached and fried - whichever way you like them!

5 Ways To Use Habanero Hot Sauce
5 - Aztec/Mexican Hot Chocolate

If you're feeling particularly adventurous, trying adding some hot sauce to an Aztec or Mexican Hot Chocolate instead of using chili powder. The sauce will mix even better with the liquid hot chocolate and you'll get that amazing chili and chocolate flavour coming through. Why not try it with my Aztec Hot Chocolate recipe

Memento Mori Habanero Pepper Sauce* is available to order via the brand's Facebook here.

New In Beauty: Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette - Review & Swatches

Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette - Review & Swatches
Urban Decay are bringing the heat this Summer, quite literally, with their brand new Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette. But is it worth the hype? Let's find out!

Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette - Review & Swatches
Urban Decay's latest eyeshadow palette release was 'hotly' anticipated by many makeup junkies and the brand did some clever marketing to get the beauty world talking about it with a handful of pre-sale events. Being the newest addition to UD's much loved Naked range, the Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette was always going to cause a stir and I have to say that I was immediately drawn to it when I first saw it on Instagram. I'll always be a die-hard neutrals fan at heart, but I've been wanting to push myself outside of my comfort zone and try out some new shades for Summer, so this palette arrived at just the right time!

The packaging for the Naked Heat palette is on point as always with anything from Urban Decay, and I love the fun, almost retro-80s vibe on the lid, complete with embossed text that's super satisfying to run your fingers over. This palette contains 12 brand new shades and it's a sizzling mix of warm toned mattes and shimmers featuring an interesting spectrum of browns, reds, coppers, and bronzes.

Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette - Review & Swatches
Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette - Review & Swatches
As expected, there's a large mirror in the reverse lid and the Naked Heat palette comes with a double-ended eyeshadow brush featuring a flat end for packing on shadow, and a fluffier end for blending it all out. I'm always impressed with the quality of the brushes from Urban Decay as they are by far the best that you can find in a palette like this.

Here's a rundown of all 12 shades and how they perform on the peepers:-

Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette - Review & Swatches
  • Ounce - Super pale, creamy white ivory shade with a touch of shimmer. Perfect to use as an inner corner highlight to make the eyes look wide awake, or as a subtle under-brow highlight.
  • Chaser - A classic 'nude' / flesh-toned matte. I've been using this a lot all over the lids for those easy 'no makeup makeup' days when you want to look like you've made an effort, but really can't be bothered!
  • Sauced - Light brown matte with a reddish undertone. Looks amazing in the crease alongside some neutral shades for a more defined, everyday look.
  • Low Blow - A medium brown matte with a hint of yellow. Richly pigmented and great as a base for a warm smokey eye.
  • Lumbre - Stunning metallic rose-gold with a duo-chrome finish. Adds a lot of warmth and the shimmer reflects beautifully when it's caught in sunlight.
  • He Devil - Burnt red matte. This one wasn't the easiest to work with as it's a little dry and you definitely needs a primer underneath to get the most out of this colour.
  • Dirty Talk - Bright metallic copper. Beautifully pigmented with a rich gold shimmer running through it. Blends like a dream!
  • Scorched - A pink toned metallic copper, this is my favourite shade in the palette. It's quite similar to Dirty Talk but that extra pink in there makes it even more wearable for me.
  • Cayenne - Warm chocolate matte. This is another great shade to use a base for a warm smokey eye and is a really versatile colour.
  • En Fuego - Dark burgundy matte. A strong shade to use on its own, I've found it works better as a liner colour tucked into the lashline or as a crease shade for a dramatic smokey eye.
  • Ashes - Dark aubergine brown matte - my least favourite colour as it's quite dry and doesn't blend as well as the other matte shades.
  • Ember - A beautiful and very unusual deep metallic brown and copper duo-chrome shade. I don't have a colour like this in the whole of my eyeshadow collection and it's absolutely stunning used wet as a liner for the lower waterline!

Overall thoughts?
Although there are one or two shades which either aren't my thing or don't blend as well as the rest, the vast majority of the shadows in the Naked Heat palette are typical of the richly pigmented and high-quality formulas that I've come to expect and love from a brand like Urban Decay. This warm toned colourway won't be for everyone, but if you're looking for a new high-end palette to play with this Summer, Naked Heat will provide a lot of creativity and fun, and it certainly does its job of helping me to break out of my neutral-loving comfort zone!

Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette* retails for £39.50 and is available from various stockists including direct from urbandecay.co.uk

What do you think of the new Naked Heat Palette? Yay or nay?

Health & Wellbeing: PurePharma Synbiotics SB3 review

Wednesday, 16 August 2017

PurePharma Synbiotics SB3 review
Pick up any health magazine and you'll find countless features on the benefits of having a healthy gut, and both prebiotics and probiotics are currently enjoying a long overdue welcome in the spotlight.

But this is nothing new. Many ancient civilisations have held the 'gut' in high regard and respect for thousands of years. For example, in Ayurveda, the stomach and the digestive system are seen as the root cause of all ill health, from minor complaints to more serious diseases, and so maintaining a healthy gut is the best way to ensure long and happy years of good health.

In the West though, our digestive system is often under attack from fatty junk food diets and too much-processed foods, a lack of exercise and tons of stress. Conditions like IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) are on the rise, but they are frequently treated with medication that doesn't properly address the problem.

I've had numerous stomach problems myself and was diagnosed with IBS last year, which led me to research more about the subject to try and understand what was causing it. After some diet and lifestyle changes, I found that taking a prebiotic and probiotic supplement has really helped. I still get flare ups every now and then (especially if I fall off the diet and into a plate of pizza...ahem!), but for the most part, it's much better and far more manageable than it was before I was diagnosed.

I've tried a couple of different prebiotic and probiotic supplements from various brands since then, and a new one I've been trying out recently is the Synbiotics SB3 from PurePharma.

PurePharma Synbiotics SB3 review
What is it?
PurePharma Synbiotics SB3 are a blend of prebiotics and probiotics which help to keep your body and your gut in balance. It's important to find a supplement that has both as they work best when they're together (e.g as a 'synbiotic'). The easiest way to think about them is like an army and the food that the army needs to keep marching on. The Probiotics are the good guys. They're the good, live bacteria that your gut needs to fight off bad bacteria, and they help to support your immune and digestive systems. The Prebiotics are the ingestible fibres that serve as food for the Probiotics - they feed the good bacteria so that it can thrive, grow and keep fighting off the bad bacteria. Thus a happy balance is formed to keep your gut in check and working as it should be.

What's in it?
This supplement contains a Probiotic blend with 13 billion viable cells featuring Bifidobacterium (BB-12) 3.5 billion CFU and Lactobacillus fermentum (PCC) 9.5 billion CFU. It also contains 200mg of Vitamin C to further support the body, in addition to Fructo-oligosaccharides, Inulin, Pectin and natural Cranberry flavour. It's free from Gluten, GMOs, Nuts and Artificial additives, contains no added sugar, and is suitable for vegans.

PurePharma Synbiotics SB3 review
How Do I take It and How Often?
Synbiotics SB3 comes in a powder format that you can easily mix with water, juice, milk, yoghurt or you can take it straight from the packet. It has a subtle Cranberry flavour when dissolved in plain water, and I can't really taste it when it's added to juice. The supplements are individually packaged into convenient stick servings (great for popping into your handbag and travelling with), and it's advised that you take one per day, 30 minutes before eating a meal.

Results?
I've been taking these daily for about a month now and I've seen an improvement in the symptoms of my IBS; most noticeably that I've had a lot less bloating and any stomach cramps and twinges have been much milder or virtually non-existent. I've also found that I'm sleeping a little better too, which is always a bonus as I'm a terrible sleeper! I've already ordered another pack and will continue to take these as part of my daily supplement routine.

PurePharma Synbiotics SB3* (30 daily sticks, £30) are available online from HelloSkinShop.

Introducing: Nakin Natural Anti-Ageing Skincare - Performance Face serum & Matt Formula Face Cream review

Nakin Performance Face serum & Matt Formula Face Cream review
Finding effective, natural skincare that makes a real difference to ageing skin can sometimes be difficult, but thankfully, many more 'green' brands are starting to invest in innovative technology and there's a lot more choice out there.

One of the latest skincare brands to emerge onto the market are Nakin; a British company whose products are all made here in the UK. They're cruelty-free (Leaping Bunny certified) and their skincare is free from Parabens, SLS, Petrochemicals, artificial fragrance and colours, PEGs and Propylene Glycol. Nakin offer high-performance products which feature cutting edging dermal science know-how and advanced formulas which are as natural and clean as possible.

What I like the most about Nakin is that their skincare has been designed to be gentle and suitable for sensitive skin, which makes a change from many other anti-ageing skincare lines which can be too harsh and too aggressive in the pursuit of a younger and fresher looking complexion. I also love Nakin's clean and simple packaging which looks luxury and very Instagram-friendly, but comes with a surprisingly affordable, mid-market price tag. There are currently eight products in Nakin's essential skincare range and this streamlined approach makes shopping for new skincare so easy and hassle free. I've been trying out two of their products over the past month, so here are my thoughts!

Nakin Natural Anti-Ageing Performance Face Serum* (50ml, 98% natural, £25, link)
In the evenings, I've been using the Anti-Ageing Performance Face Serum after cleansing and toning, and before applying my regular night cream. This serum is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive, and it has a lovely, subtle and fresh scent to it. It's packed full of natural actives such as Hydrolyzed Hibiscus Extract (known as 'natural botox' thanks to its powerful anti-wrinkle properties), Hyaluronic Acid (a fantastic ingredient that helps to boost hydration by locking in moisture), Green Tea (famed for its antioxidants), Pomegranate (helps to reverse damage caused by the sun) and Rosemary Leaf Extract (protects collagen and elastin fibres).

The consistency of the serum is like a light gel that is easy to massage into the skin, and it absorbs quickly without any stickiness afterwards. I must admit that I didn't see any difference to my skin within the first couple of days of using it, but within two weeks of everyday use, my skin began to feel much softer and smoother, and the drier areas of my face were considerably more balanced and hydrated. I also noticed that some of the fine lines around my eye area were more plumped out and less visible, so I'm looking forward to continuing using this to see if the results get even better.

Nakin Natural Anti-Ageing Matt Formula Face Cream* (50ml, 98% natural, £20, link)
Nakin have two face creams in their range and their Matt Formula Face Cream has been specially formulated for those who have oily, sensitive and normal skin types. Featuring a Glycerin, Shea Butter and Jojoba Oil base, this face cream also contains natural ingredients such as Pomegranate Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Baobab Oil, Argan Oil and Olive Oil, resulting in a lovely everyday moisturiser which hydrates, balances and firms the skin. This cream feels very luxurious when you apply it as it has a rich and silky texture, and there's a pleasant light, fresh scent. I was initially concerned that this moisturiser was going to be too heavy for my oily/combination skin, so I was pleased when it absorbed easily and gave me a shine-free finish. It also provides an excellent smooth base for makeup, so I love using it first thing in the morning when I'm getting ready - you can easily skip the primer step when you use this!

Nakin are available online from nakinskincare.com and via selected stockists including Ocado.

Love Me Beauty - August 2017 review + 20% Discount Code
Moving on from the changes that Love Me Beauty introduced last month (check out my previous review here for all the info on those), I was really pleased to see them add a whole bunch of new products to their online shop for this month's picks.

If you're new to Love Me Beauty, they're a beauty subscription service which lets you choose the products that you want to receive every month, so if you've been disappointed by the 'surprise' element of other boxes in the past, this one should be much more your thing!

In exchange for the monthly fee, you'll receive 60 credits to spend on whatever products you want from Love Me Beauty's online shop and there are lots to choose from. If you spot extra products that you want, you have the option of purchasing additional add-on credits so you can really go to town treat yourself! In addition to the products that you pick, you'll also receive a free makeup bag with your order every month instead of a traditional box, which is a nice little extra.

Here's what I got in August's Love Me Beauty bag to give you an idea of the products that are currently available. These are all focused on luxury makeup and fragrance minis, but there are also makeup brushes, skincare, bodycare and nail polishes to choose from as well.

Buxom Full-On Lip Polish in Dolly
Buxom Full-On Lip Polish in Dolly (1.5ml deluxe mini - 15 credits)

Buxom are one of those make-up brands that I've been wanting to try out for a while now, but for some reason, I just never got around to picking up any of their products. Needless to say, I was very happy when I saw that Love Me Beauty had added some of their items to the online shop and I just had to try some! This Full-On Lip Polish in the shade Dolly is one of the brand's bestsellers and features their unique plumping formula to give you a big sexy pout. It subtly tingles and feels cooling when you apply it, and guess what - it works! Dolly is a sheer, shimmery lip gloss in a light mauve shade - very pretty and it doesn't feel overly sticky - I love it!

Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in Cathedral
Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in Cathedral (1.2g deluxe mini - 20 credits)

Is there anything cuter than a miniature lipstick?! I absolutely adore these Studded Kiss Lipsticks from Kat Von D and I'm thrilled to add a new shade to my growing collection. The formula is truly amazing; they're richly pigmented, go on so smoothly, feel moisturising and they stay put for hours. This shade Cathedral is definitely a new favourite of mine - a stunning medium pink with a subtle touch of a brown undertone to it.

Kat Von D Lock It Translucent Setting Powder
Kat Von D Lock It Translucent Setting Powder (1.4g - 20 credits)

I've heard a lot of great things about this Kat Von D Lock It Translucent Setting Powder and it has a lovely silky feel to it. It features a clever kind of 'micro-blurring' technology which helps to give a flawlessly diffused finish to the skin so that you're 'selfie-ready' at all times. I've used it twice so far and I'm seriously impressed it. This powder works amazingly well for setting concealer underneath the eyes, and it helps makeup stay looking fresh for longer when applied all over the face.

Buxom Lash Mascara in Black
Buxom Lash Mascara in Black (6ml deluxe travel size - 15 credits)

If you're in the market for a new mascara, why not try out this one from Buxom? For just 15 credits, you get a deluxe travel size of their bestselling Lash Masacara which adds intense volume, whilst separating and defining the lashes for a super glam, wide awake, fluttery finish. The curved rubber bristle brush really manages to grab every single lash without clumping - brilliant stuff!

Kat Von D Eau de Parfum in Saint
Kat Von D Eau de Parfum in Saint (4.5ml travel size - 10 credits)

Perfume fans can pick up travel-sizes of Kat Von D's hugely popular Saint and Sinner Eau de Parfums for just 10 credits each. I have Saint which is a sweet, floral blend of Jasmine, Vanilla, Musk, Mandarin, Caramel and Plum. It's a lovely Summer fragrance and perfect for everyday wear.

Summer Holiday Wishlist
Whether you're getting ready to jet off on your summer holiday or simply fancy treating yourself, here's my Summer Holiday Wishlist to give you a little shopping inspiration this weekend!

(1) ASOS Lira 90s Print Beach Dress (£33, link)
I was browsing ASOS the other day and spotted this cute little beach dress from Lira. I love the 90s/ hippy inspired print, and the backless design looks perfect for hot Summer days! I'm not overly keen on super short dresses, so the length of this one really appealed to me as well, and you could easily dress this up with a black leather jacket and black strappy sandals for an evening/night out look.

(2) L'Occitane Roses et Reines Roll-On Eau de Toilette Intense (10ml, £18, link)
For holidays, I always like to pack a travel size fragrance, so these roll-ons from L'Occitane are just the right size for handbags and carry on cases. This scent Roses et Reines smells amazing with notes of four different Roses (Grasse, Bulgarian, Turkish and Moroccan), but if you're not a rose fan, they have lots of other scents available and the packaging is gorgeous. Well worth popping into your nearest shop and having a sniff of their perfumes range!

(3) New Look Black Tropical Print Bikini Top (£12.99, link)
If you're looking for a new bikini, New Look has lots of new designs in and I really like the look of this Black Tropical Print Bikini Top which has a lattice style detailing on the front. The print looks very Dolce & Gabbana inspired, and I love how it's tropical, but not too bright or OTT. Comes with matching bottoms, or you could just wear it with some denim shorts.

(4) Malin + Goetz Holiday Essentials Kit (£20, link)
Space NK are one of my favourite places to shop when you feel like treating yourself to some new luxury toiletries, and this Holiday Essentials Kit from Malin + Goetz contains both skincare and haircare. Inside the kit, you get a Face Cleanser, Face Moisturiser, Body Lotion, Body Moisturiser, Shampoo and Conditioner, all in handy travel size bottles and packaged in a flight friendly, clear plastic bag.

(5) Mango Prescription Sunglasses (£150 + prescription lenses, link
Sadly, if I want to get some new sunglasses I can't just go into Primark and pick up a pair for £2 as I need to get prescription ones. Luckily though, lots of highstreet opticians have offers on throughout the Summer months, and these ones from Mango are from Boots who always do really good 2 for 1 deals. I've seen these lighter tortoise shell designs everywhere this Summer so I may have to splurge and pick some up!

(6) Charlotte Tilbury Quick & Easy Red Carpet Party Look Set (£55, link)
For the ultimate holiday makeup treat, I've been eyeing up this stunning set from Charlotte Tilbury which contains four of her must-have products for a quick and easy glamorous look. This set contains a Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Kiss 'N' Tell, Matte Revolution Lipstick in Red Carpet, Rock 'N' Kohl Eye Liner in Barbarella Brown and a travel size version of the best-selling Wonderglow. You also get a cute makeup bag to store all your holiday makeup in.

What's on your Summer Holiday Wishlist?

Foodie Friday: The Vegan Kind Box - Taste Test Review - August 2017 #TVK46

The Vegan Kind Box - Taste Test Review - August 2017 #TVK46
Happy Friday! This month's The Vegan Kind box arrived earlier this week, so it's time for me to do another taste test review!

August's The Vegan Kind box is one of my favourite boxes from them so far this year and it may be because I've been craving a lot of sweet stuff at the moment. Inside the box, I found six vegan food and drink products and a natural beauty product - all of which are new to me so I was very excited to try everything out.

If you're new to The Vegan Kind, they're a monthly subscription box that features a mix of vegan-friendly food, drinks, snacks, beauty and lifestyle products. I'm not 100% vegan myself, but as a vegetarian, these boxes have really been helping me to discover different brands and products. I've been subscribed to them for over a year now and they never disappoint! Check out my previous reviews here

Here's what I found inside this month's box:-
 Sweet Freedom Choc Pot
Sweet Freedom Choc Pot (250g, RRP £3.85)

Hello gorgeous! I'm a massive fan of Sweet Freedom's delicious Choc Shot which I like to drizzle onto pancakes and porridge, so this new Choc Pot is something that I'm welcoming into my life with open arms! The main selling point of this is that it's made from a blend of Natural Fruit extracts, Carob, Cocoa and a little Rapeseed Oil, so it's 75% less fat and half the calories of a normal chocolate spread (it's only 14 calories per teaspoon).

It's also free from Palm Oil and free from Dairy, Gluten, GMOs, and Nuts. It tastes pretty much the same as their regular Choc Shot, only with a much thicker texture, so it's great to have in your cupboard for when you want a cheeky chocolate fix! Spread it on toast, rice cakes, crumpets, use it to fill crepes or pancakes, or enjoy it straight from the pot - I won't judge you ;)

Almighty Foods Strawberry Blonde Raw Chocolate Bar
Almighty Foods Strawberry Blonde Raw Chocolate Bar (40g, RRP £2.89)

I'm always excited to try new raw chocolate bars and this one from Almighty Foods is so different to anything that I've tried before. It's made from a base of Cacao Butter, Coconut Nectar, Dried Coconut Flesh, Cashews, Tigernut and Hibiscus Flower, and features a sprinkling of dried Strawberries on the top. It's lovely and creamy in taste and texture, but it has a surprisingly sour tang to it which I really like! This is a massive bar and because it's so rich, it's definitely something that can be shared or saved for later.

Emily Crisps Crunchy Sweet Potato, Beetroot & Carrot Crisps
Emily Crisps Crunchy Sweet Potato, Beetroot & Carrot Crisps (23g, RRP £1.50)

If there was ever an award for the most beautiful packaging on a bag of crisps, Emily Crisps would win hands down. These vegetable crisps are satisfyingly crunchy and I love the mix of flavours from the Sweet Potato, Carrot and Beetroot. At only 95 calories per bag, these are a guilt-free snack that you can have at any time of the day and a great swap for normal crisps if you're looking for a healthier alternative. I'd definitely buy these again!

Native Unearthed Activated Charcoal Deodorant Balm
Native Unearthed Activated Charcoal Deodorant Balm (30ml, RRP £3.99)

I've been using natural deodorants on and off for years now and I'm curious to see how this one from Native Unearthed works as it contains a blend of Activated Charcoal, Coconut Oil, Arrowroot, Whipped Shea Butter and Lavender Oil. The Charcoal is made from the shell of Coconuts (interesting!) which has natural absorbing properties to keep you feeling fresh and dry all day. To use it, you just scoop out a pea sized amount and rub it into your pits - sounds easy enough! Keep an eye out for a future Empties post to see how I get on with it.

Candy Kittens Sweet Peach Pop Bag
Candy Kittens Sweet Peach Pop Bag (52g, RRP £1)

Candy Kittens are a serious weakness of mine and if you're a fan of chewy, fizzy/sour sweets, you need to try them pronto! The brand are currently working on making their whole range of sweets suitable for vegans which is amazing news, but for the time being, they have a couple of vegan-friendly flavours available. These Sweet Peach ones are so, so, SO good - really fruity with just the right amount of sour - yum! The only problem is that this bag is just too small!

PHD Superfood Mango and Banana Protein Smoothie
PHD Superfood Mango and Banana Protein Smoothie (RRP £2.49)

I was happy to see this product in the box as there are so many plant based protein products popping up in the supermarkets and on my Instagram feed recently, but I haven't really explored them properly for myself yet. This is a brand new product release from PHD and features a Mango & Banana smoothie in a handy, squeezy pouch. It contains a whopping 20g of plant protein, so it's ideal as a pre or post-workout treat. I loved the flavour of this - it's really fruity and creamy thanks to the added Coconut Milk, and this is something that I would happily pick up again.

We Are Tea Super Berry
We Are Tea Super Berry (1 teabag sample)

The last product is a whole-leaf tea bag sample from We Are Tea, whose teas are currently in my heavily stocked tea cupboard. I haven't tried this flavour before though, so I had it with my breakfast this morning and it was really good! Fruit teas can all too often be disappointing, but this one packs in a lot of fruity/berry flavour and there are some lovely bits of Hibiscus, Apple and Orange in this blend.

Also in the box: This month's recipe card is for a Chocolate Orange Cheesecake which I'm dying to try out, and August's chosen charity is Food Fight UK - a Glasgow based, not for profit, volunteer led service that offers free, healthy and filling vegan meals and snacks to homeless people in Scotland - a worthy cause indeed.

To find out more about The Vegan Kind, visit their website here. £10 + p&p each month in the UK, with worldwide shipping options available.

Summer Makeup: Bellapierre Glowing Palette - Review & Swatches

Bellapierre Glowing Palette - Review & Swatches
The popularity of highlighters continues to grow, and more and more brands are bringing out whole palettes devoted to getting that instantly enviable glow. The green beauty world are often a little late to the party when it comes to makeup trends, but Bellapierre have absolutely nailed it with their beautiful Glowing Palette!

Bellapierre Glowing Palette - Review & Swatches
Bellapierre Glowing Palette - Review & Swatches
It was truly love at first sight when I spotted Bellapierre's Glowing Palette on LoveLula last month, and I'm pleased to say that it's even more stunning in real life.

Packaged in a sleek, gold coloured case that feels reassuringly weighty (despite being made from a thick but sturdy type of cardboard), the Glowing Palette is a nice and compact A6 size and features a mirror in the reverse lid. When you open it up, you're greeted by six large pans of mineral-based, pressed powder highlighters in an assortment of shades to suit a wide range of skin tones. The highlighters are held in place by a strong magnetic board, but can be easily removed and refilled if desired.

The formula of these highlighters has really impressed me as they're incredibly buttery soft to the touch and are super easy to work with. The pigmentation and colour payoff isn't as immediately intense as mainstream brands like Becca or MAC, but these highlighters can be easily layered up to achieve a much stronger look if wanted (I've swatched them quite heavily below so you can see them at their most vibrant!) and I think they look so pretty when applied lightly for a more subtle finish.

Bellapierre Glowing Palette - Review & Swatches
That said, the Glowing Palette really lives up to its name as each of these highlighters offers a gorgeous glowy sheen to the skin, without being chunky or glittery, and I love the range of colours that Bellapierre have included.

The top row features Moonshine (a cool toned, almost icy looking pink with pale gold shimmer), Stellar (similar to Moonshine but it's got more of a rosy toned baby pink to it with cool metallic shimmer), Glimmer (a light bronze with gold shimmer), and the bottom row has Beam (a pale yellow with white and gold shimmer), Amorous (a peachy pink with much less shimmer than the other highlighters), and Glint (a warm toned coppery bronze with gold shimmer).

I've mostly been wearing the bronzey shades Glint and especially Glimmer recently, as they really suit my skin at the moment now that it's more tanned for Summer, and I also love Amorous as a glowy blusher shade too. The other three do look amazing though, especially for nights out when you want to feel more glam and dressed up.

I think this is a great cruelty-free palette and it's an excellent dupe for the popular Sun Dipped Glow Kit from Anastasia Beverly Hills (plus you get two extra pans of highlighter with this one, so it's better value for money!). If you're a glow-getter or a highlighter fiend, you need this in your life!

Juwles Botanics & Skincare Oilixirs - Review & Giveaway!
Being a serious lover of all things skincare related means that I'm always on the lookout for new products to try out, and my latest discovery comes from a small, independent British company called Juwles Botanics & Skincare.

Juwles are an all-natural, cruelty-free, 100% vegan brand whose products are handmade in small batches in Birmingham, by founder Asma Juwles and her aromatherapy team. Asma's passion clearly lies in her work as she is a professional aromatherapist, massage and skin therapist, and her brand certainly reflects this. She puts a strong emphasis on 'less is more' when it comes to formulating her products, choosing to use only unrefined and pure natural ingredients, so everything is free from preservatives, fillers, parabens and synthetic ingredients.

The first product launch from Juwles comes in the form of a trio of Oilixirs; highly concentrated facial oils which contain vitamins, minerals and botanicals to transform your skin naturally. I've had the pleasure of testing these out over the past month, so here are my thoughts!

Juwles Balancing Oilixir - Oily & Combination Skin Types* (30ml, £35, link)
Formulated especially for oily and combination skin types, this is my favourite Oilixir out of the three as it suits my skin perfectly. It features a base of several natural oils such as Avocado Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Pomegranate Seed Oil and Rosehip Oil to nourish and brighten the skin, whilst essential oils of Clary Sage, Geranium and Lemon help to balance sebum levels, reduce inflammation and keep blemishes at bay. It smells strongly of Geranium which I love and the oil absorbs easily into the skin leaving it softer and looking clearer, plus you only need to use a few drops each time.

Juwles Restorative Oilixir - All Skin Types(sample size)
For an evening face oil that all skin types can use, try the Restorative Oilixir. This one contains Evening Primrose Oil, Rosehip Oil, Pomegranate Oil, Avocado Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Frankincense, Bergamot and Lavender to deeply nourish and hydrate the skin, making the complexion brighter and more glowy. I've been enjoying alternating this with the Balancing Oilixir in the evenings when my skin has been looking a little dull or feeling dehydrated, and it's been working wonders!

Juwles Smoothing Oilixir - Dry & Mature Skin Types* (sample size)
If you have very dry or more mature skin, the Smoothing Oilixir will be the perfect choice for you. It features similar ingredients to the others, such as Avocado Oil, Pomegranate Oil, Vitamin E, Evening Primrose Oil and Rosehip Oil, but it also includes Frankincense, Peach Kernel Oil, Lavender and Ylang Ylang essential oils which really help to deeply moisturise dry skin, even out the skin's overall texture, smooth out fine lines and wrinkles, and improve skin's elasticity. Your skin will feel considerably softer, thoroughly hydrated and more plumped up after just the first use.

New In Luxury Beauty: Clinique x Jonathan Adler Collection

Clinique x Jonathan Adler Collection
If there's one thing that I love about new beauty releases, it's when brands team up with designers for a gorgeous Limited Edition collection. Clinique's latest collaboration with Jonathan Adler is a beauty!

Jonathan Adler is perhaps more well-known state-side, but his style is influential on a worldwide level. I first came across some of his designs in a glossy magazine a few years ago, and I instantly fell in love with his modern homewares with their bold geometric prints, so I was thrilled to hear that he'd recently teamed up with Clinique to bring out a special collection for Summer.

This new Limited Edition collection is inspired by some of Jonathan's favourite holiday destinations and has been designed "for women who want to crank up their glamour factor to eleven". His iconic geometric designs adorn the packaging for a luxe contemporary feel, and there's a Summery element of youthfulness running throughout the collection which I love. It's a decent sized collaboration with several new shades and includes Lip Colours, Lid Pops, Cheek Pops, a Luxe Brush Collection, a Chic Colour Kit and a special Limited Edition design for the Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush

I was lucky enough to get my hands on a few of the new pieces to share with you all today, and they will definitely brighten up your holiday bag!

I must admit that I'm not the biggest fan of electric facial cleansing brushes, but my sister loves them and she was over the moon when I gave this one to her! I was sad to see it go as I really love Adler's classic geometric design on this, which he has also featured on the accompanying travel case. It's beautifully bold, contemporary and absolutely perfect for Summer.

The Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush is one of Clinique's best sellers and it's the brand's answer to the ever-popular Clarisonic. This brush has been developed by dermatologists and uses sonic movement to gently, but deeply cleanse the skin. The head is composed of two different types of bristles, with the green bristles at the top of the head being used for tackling the troublesome T-zone area. You can use any cleanser with this, but there is a tube of Clinique's Foaming Sonic Facial Soap included in the set to start you off.

My sister has been using this every day for about a month now and she says it's better than her regular Clarisonic because it feels softer and gentler on her skin. I was very pleased to see that you can buy this new Limited Edition design for the same price as the regular plain white Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush, so if you're in the market to buy a new electric facial cleansing brush, why not pick up this one and jazz up your skincare routine?

Clinique x Jonathan Adler Pop Lip Colour + Primer in Beige Pop

I own a handful of Clinique lip products and I'm a big fan of their fragrance-free formulas. Their Lip Colour + Primers have been given a beautiful Jonathan Adler make-over, which has been inspired by his Globo collection that features colourful domes of acrylic and brass. On top of each of the lipstick caps is a bright jewel-like cabochon and wrapped around the tube you'll find Adler's signature geometric pattern, for a serious touch of luxury chic.

There are 12 shades available in this collection of Lip Colour + Primers including three Limited Edition bright shades, but neutral fans will love the shade that I have which is called Beige Pop; a gorgeous, everyday nude-pink that's super easy to wear. The 2-in-1 formula feels wonderfully moisturising on the lips, and the colour stays put for a good 4-5 hours (without eating/drinking) before a touch up is required.

Clinique x Jonathan Adler Lid Pop in 05 Willow Pop

There's something incredibly decadent about splashing out on a single eyeshadow, but when I saw these Lid Pops, I knew that people were going to covet them! The packaging is utterly stunning with Adler's geometric design being showcased on both the outer packaging lid and imprinted onto the eyeshadow itself - talk about attention to detail! The imprint on the eyeshadow looks like a captivating maze that you could get lost in and the design has been inspired by French gardens.

There are 4 Limited Edition Lid Pops available and this shade Willow Pop is my favourite as it's a colour that I could happily wear every day, especially throughout Summer and on holiday. Willow Pop is an eye-catching bronze with a touch of olive-green undertones, and there's some fine gold shimmer running through it too. It's nicely pigmented and can be built up or used wet for a more intense look if desired. If you love Limited Edition makeup pieces, this one will be perfect for your collection!
