Sukin's Signature Scent Botanical Body Wash is a blissful pampering treat and it both smells and feels much more expensive than it actually is which makes it ideal for those who are looking for a green beauty gift on a budget. I love the blend of aromatic botanicals and skin-loving ingredients such as Aloe Vera, Jojoba and Avocado Oils will ensure that dry winter skin is kept healthy and nourished. Free from a long list of nasties such as mineral oil, parabens, sulphates, silicones and more.

For £15: Kure Bazaar Limited Edition Nail Polish in Pigalle* (10ml, £15, link)

Makeup fans will love this festive red glitter called Pigalle from Kure Bazaar's Limited Edition Nail Polish range this year. This ultra-glam multi-tonal red glitter can be worn as a sparkly topcoat over a base shade or layer it up for a chunky block of eye-catching shimmer. It's spectacular! Kure Bazaar nail colours contain no toluene, formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate and no synthetic camphor.

For £25: Nourish London Lemon & Black Pepper Hand Wash & Hand Lotion Duo* (£25, link)

It's never been more important to wash your hands these days, but it doesn't have to be a boring chore! Inject some natural luxury into this daily act with the new Lemon & Black Pepper Hand Wash and Hand Lotion Duo from Nourish London. This practical gift set not only smells amazing, but it'll keep hands soft and smooth so you can say goodbye to dry and irritated skin from frequent washing.

Candles are one of my favourite items to gift as they're often not bought by people, but always appreciated when received. This beautiful set from JOIK features three of their most festive scents, combined together in their Winter Favourites Collection. I have to say that it's hard to pick my personal favourite as they all smell so good! Take your pick from Gingerbread, Spiced Cranberry and Oh, Christmas Tree.

Christmas Gift Guide 2019: Stocking Fillers For Party Girls - Nails Edit
Looking for stocking fillers or secret Santa ideas for that gal in your social circle/office who just can't wait for the biggest party of the year? This special Nails Edit shares some affordable options with everything featured £15 or under!

Christmas Gift Guide 2019: Stocking Fillers For Party Girls - Nails Edit
Leighton Denny Large Crystal Nail File* (£15.50, link)
OK, so I'm cheating a little bit by including this as it's 50p over the £15 mark, however, there is a smaller Crystal Nail File from Leighton Denny that you can pick up for £12.50 if you're sticking to a secret Santa budget! I think this is a good choice for that person who has everything, but who adores manicures and all things nails. It's guaranteed to last a lifetime and has been described as the 'Rolls Royce' of nails files, winning numerous awards, so why not invest in the best?! You can also pick it up from Boots and stock up on your loyalty points - win-win!

Leighton Denny Nail Polish* (£12, link)
A luxury, high-quality nail polish is something that can take pride of place on a makeup junkie's vanity table and with a huge variety of on-trend colours and finishes to choose from, there's something for everyone who loves playing with nail polish. My top pick would be the shade above which is called Fedora from Leighton Denny's new AW 19/20 collection. It's a stunning, rich, warm and muted purple cream that goes with everything. Heads up - M&S have currently got these in on a 3 for 2 offer if you're looking to purchase multiple stocking fillers.

Christmas Gift Guide 2019: Stocking Fillers For Party Girls - Nails Edit
KISS Glam Fantasy & Gel Fantasy Nail Sets* (£7.99 each, link)
You can't beat a set of eye-catching falsies for that all-important NYE party and these ready-to-wear nails can be worn with nail glue or applied with adhesive tabs. There are loads of different designs and shades available in both the Glam Fantasy and Gel Fantasy ranges from KISS, so you'll be simply spoilt for choice! Both ranges have a realistic gel nail effect with an ultra-smooth finish to help you party the night away.

imPRESS Press-On Manicure Sets* (£7.99, link)
If you're looking for a less OTT nail kit, why not try the imPRESS Press-On Manicure Sets? These super easy to apply falsies come in a shorter length which makes them more wearable for most people, and they still offer the benefits of a gorgeous gel nail finish. I really like these for special occasions and they're great for those who aren't too confident at painting their own nails. Like the KISS sets above, these are also currently on offer in Superdrug.

Autumn Beauty Buys #HelloOctober
Need a little beauty pick-me-up? These are some of my recommended Autumn Beauty Buys to treat your nails and hair to this season - all under £13!

Treats For Nails: Leighton Denny Slick Tips Hydrating Cuticle Oil* (12ml, £12, link) & Leighton Denny Nail Polish in Inkjet* (12ml, £12, link)

Autumn is a good time to starting taking more care of your nails, as the colder weather can cause them to become drier and more brittle than usual which can lead to weakness and breakages (central heating also has a drying effect on nails and skin). Massaging in a drop or two of cuticle oil can help though and Leighton Denny's Slick Tips Hydrating Cuticle Oil is a lovely formula to try that's enriched with Jojoba Oil and Vitamins A, B and E to instantly moisturise, smooth and soften for stronger nails overall.

I've also been embracing the return of darker colours for nails and in particular, have fallen head over heels in love with another favourite from Leighton Denny. Their Nail Polish in Inkjet is the most stunning rich navy blue with a metallic silk-like finish - I always get compliments when I wear it!

Design. ME Puff. ME Light Hair Volumising Powder
Treats For Hair: Design. ME Puff. ME Light Hair Volumising Powder* (9.1g, £9.95, link)

It may have a long name, but Design. ME's Puff. ME Light Hair Volumising Powder is a must-try for anyone who has fine or difficult to style hair like mine. Free from sulphates, parabens and salt, this vegan-friendly magical volumiser helps to add texture and body to even baby-fine hair thanks to its super lightweight consistency - I was quite surprised by how you can't really tell or feel that you've used any product in your hair. Add it directly to the roots and style as normal - super easy!

A Cruelty-Free & Vegan-Friendly Alternative To Silk Pillowcases: Morning Glamour Satin Pillowcase
A Cruelty-Free & Vegan-Friendly Alternative To Silk Pillowcases: Morning Glamour Satin Pillowcase* (£12.99 for one, link)

Silk pillowcases have long been a traditional beauty secret of many A-list actresses and celebrities, as well as countless skincare and beauty gurus singing their praises over the years, but what if you want a cruelty-free and vegan-friendly alternative? Look no further, Morning Glamour's range of Satin Pillowcases has got your back!

Available in several different colours to fit your bedroom colour scheme, these pillowcases are just as luxurious feeling as their silk counterparts and help to prevent hair breakages and night time skin wrinkles as it provides a smooth surface to sleep on. They're also great for damaged or frizzy hair types and are non-absorbent so your skin and hair retains moisture better throughout the night - genius!

What's on your Autumn beauty wishlist?

New In Beauty: Lashes & Nails from Kiss and Leighton Denny - Review & Swatches
June is in full swing and with it often comes numerous social events like graduations and weddings. If you have a big 'do approaching, why not treat yourself to some of the newest launches from Kiss and Leighton Denny to add some extra glam to your day?

Kiss Lash Couture Naked Drama Collection in Chiffon and Lacey
Kiss Lash Couture Naked Drama Collection in Chiffon and Lacey* (£7.99 each, link)

I love wearing false lashes for a special occasion and these newbies from Kiss are so fluttery and beautiful!  I've been a big fan of the brand for a long time and have several of their styles in my makeup drawer, but I have to say that these two designs are some of the best that I've seen them come out with. The Lash Couture Naked Drama Collection is a fantastic range to try if you want high-quality falsies that are easy to wear but still deliver that 'wow' factor (without being OTT). These lashes have been created to mimic a '3D mink effect' without the cruelty, and the softness of the synthetic fibres is really convincing.

They feature a cushion flexi band which makes them easier than some other brands to apply so ideal for beginners to try out, plus they fit across the lashline well and feel comfortable to wear. Both of these designs have a full and fluffy element to them with lots of volume. Chiffon is a real 'princess' type of lash (wispy, elegant and fluttery), whilst Lacey is more dramatic for a bolder, but still very pretty, statement look (perfect for evenings and nights out). I love them both and they're currently on offer in Boots on a buy one, get one half price deal.

Leighton Denny Wanderlust Collection SS19 - Private Beach and I'm In VIP
Leighton Denny Wanderlust Collection SS19 - Private Beach and I'm In VIP* (12ml, £12 each, link)

For nails, you can't beat a brand new seasonal collection from one of Britain's best, Leighton Denny, of course. His latest range for SS19 is called Wanderlust and features colours that you can wear for the ultimate luxury Summer getaway. There are six new shades to pick up and my two personal favourites are shown below.

Leighton Denny Wanderlust SS19 - Private Beach swatches
Leighton Denny Wanderlust SS19 - Private Beach

Private Beach is a sophisticated coral peach that I know I'll be wearing all Summer long. The muted pinky element also makes sure that this shade never looks too bright or cheap, and instead, it compliments a tan beautifully and goes with pretty much everything. It applied smoothly in two super easy coats and looks stunning on toes too!

Leighton Denny Wanderlust SS19 - I'm In VIP
Leighton Denny Wanderlust SS19 - I'm In VIP

Fans of clean and chic neutrals will no doubt be snapping up I'm In VIP quicker than you can say add to basket, and it's interesting to see the growing popularity of these always on-trend colours year in, year out. This soft cream nude has a subtle pink undertone which I find more flattering and easier to wear during the Summer months - just add a crisp white shirt with skinny jeans and you're good to go. It's a little tricky to apply as it needs three very thin coats to achieve full opacity, but the extra effort is definitely worth it.

Spring Beauty: 5 Green Beauty Products To Try This Month
Need a Spring Beauty pick me up? Here are some of my current favourites from the green beauty world to freshen up your daily routine.

Bright Nails & A Greener Nail Polish Remover

Spring and Summer are my favourite seasons of the year, and I love embracing all of the brighter colours for my nails. There are so many new collections that have launched from countless nail polish brands recently, but one particular shade that has caught my eye is Glossworks in Last Mango In Paris* (9ml, £12, link). Exclusive to LoveLula, Glossworks is a cruelty-free and vegan-friendly range of nail polishes which all have a glossy, gel-like finish. Everything has a 9-free formula so they are free from the main 'nasties' such as Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Toluene, DBP, Camphor, Paraben, Xylene, Ethyl Tosylamide and Lead. I absolutely love this bright orange shade that really 'pops' against a tan and it looks great on toes too.

I'm often asked about more 'natural' nail polish removers and one of the best that I've tried is Benecos Natural Nail Polish Remover* (125ml, £5.95, link) which is acetone-free and features BDIH certified essential oils for a more citrusy fragrance. It removes nail polish just as well as mainstream brands and being acetone-free, it doesn't dry out or weaken your nails.

CHOBS Organic Moringa Total Cream
Treat Yourself To A Luxury And Organic Face Cream For Sensitive & Mature Skin

If you're a die-hard fan of K-Beauty but don't want to compromise your organic and ethical standards, CHOBS is a fantastic brand to look out for. Based in South Korea, CHOBS stands for Charm & Health Organic Beauty Store, and as the name suggests, its specialism is in natural and organic skincare with everything being Ecocert certified, vegan and cruelty-free. I highly recommend their Sheet Masks for a quick pampering treat, though for something that's going to benefit your skin more in the long run, their moisturisers are a must-try.

I've been enjoying using CHOBS Organic Moringa Total Cream* (£49, 50ml, link) over the past couple of weeks, as it's packed full of beneficial organic ingredients such as Moringa Leaf extract, Centella Asiatica Leaf Water and Sunflower Seed Oil. This Total Cream has a beautifully rich, yet easily absorbed texture which feels ultra-hydrating on the skin, and it works incredibly well underneath makeup to create a smooth base, so I've been using it as my main morning moisturiser. It leaves my skin feeling soft, nourished and plumped up - I'd recommend it for sensitive and mature skin types as it's brilliant for smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles.

Try A New Green Beauty Brand

AYAN are a new green beauty brand that I've recently been introduced to, and I've been impressed by their simple natural formulas that effortlessly fit into my daily routine, as well as their affordable prices. Their commitment to high-performance natural skincare ensures that all of their products are made without any fillers, thickeners, harmful preservatives, genetically-modified and animal-derived ingredients, synthetic chemicals and fragrances or colourants, and they use locally sourced ingredients where possible.

Being based in Bulgaria, AYAN uses two of the country's most popular and well-loved natural offerings; Lavender and Rose Oil. Their Multi-Lavender Butter* (100ml, £14.99, link) is a deliciously thick and luxurious multi-purpose moisturiser with a glorious whipped butter texture and a divine natural Lavender scent. Made from a blend of Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Macadamia Oil, Beeswax and Vitamin E, this moisturiser is further infused with pure Organic Lavender Oil sourced from AYAN's very own Lavender fields for a super-hydrating and soothing skincare treat. Apply it to dry hands and feet, or slather it all over your body after a bath or shower for baby-soft skin.

Rose fans will adore AYAN Rosa Damascena Organic Bulgarian Rose Water* (200ml, £11.99, link); a 100% pure and organic product that's made from simply steaming and carefully distilling Rose Essential Oil with nothing else added. Not only is it amazing for soothing and calming irritated and dry skin as a toner in your skincare routine, but you can also apply it to your scalp to help regulate sebum and promote healthy hair growth - how awesome is that?!

All products featured are available from LoveLula.com

Green Beauty: LoveLula Beauty Box - April 2019 review

Tuesday, 23 April 2019

I hope everyone had a good Easter! I've been catching up with a couple of my monthly beauty subscription boxes and wanted to share the contents of one of my faves from LoveLula.

If you haven't heard of LoveLula before, they're a natural and organic online retailer who specialises in all aspects of green beauty shopping. They offer a monthly beauty box subscription where all of the products fit in with their ethics, so everything is cruelty-free with no parabens and no SLS.

Curious to find out more? Here's what's inside this month's box!

LoveLula Beauty Box - April 2019 review
Dr Botanicals Lemon Superfood All-in-One Rescue Butter (RRP £19)
With the Summer holidays coming up, multi-purpose products are brilliant for popping into your travel bag and this bright yellow tube of moisturising goodness from Dr Botanicals is a must-have! The Lemon Superfood All-in-One Rescue Butter is a super-thick balm that can be applied to lips, elbows, heels, face, body - anywhere that is feeling very dry and in need of some hydrating TLC. A little goes a long way so this tube will last a good while.

Alteya Organic Bulgarian Chamomile Water (RRP £7.95)
Packaged in an amber glass bottle, Alteya Organic's Bulgarian Chamomile Water is a beautiful product for the warmer months ahead and the perfect way to refresh and hydrate the skin. It helps to soothe, tone, revitalise and brighten your complexion with just a quick spritz and works well with Alteya's other skincare products, some of which I've reviewed in the past here.

Gallinée Body Milk (RRP £28)
Worth £28 on its own, LoveLula have included another full-size product in this month's box with Gallinée's Body Milk - a 94% natural body moisturiser that's infused with probiotics to keep skin smooth, soft and supple for longer. I've used this in the past and loved it so I'm very happy to have another bottle in my skincare collection.

Glossworks Nail Polish in Raspberry Parade (RRP £12)
The last main product is by Glossworks and this shade Raspberry Parade is from their brand new Spring collection. It boasts a 9-free formula which delivers a high shine glossy finish, and this juicy pink colour looks amazing on toes!

To round off the box, there are also two samples from Kimberly Sayer to try; the Gentle Face Cleanser and the Restore Anti-Ageing Cream.

Budget Beauty: Benecos Happy Nails Natural Nail Polishes in Vamp, Nordic Blue & Galaxy - Review & Swatches

Thursday, 20 December 2018

Benecos Natural Nail Polishes in Vamp, Nordic Blue & Galaxy - Review & Swatches
If you're looking for a more natural kind of nail polish that's also vegan-friendly and affordable, Benecos' new Happy Nails range will be right up your street!

Priced at just £4.95 each, Benecos' Happy Nails Natural Nail Polishes are one of those rare green beauty gems that you come across and then you have to tell everyone that you know to pick them up pronto. I must admit that I can be a bit of a snob when it comes to nail polishes, but these budget-friendly polishes have really impressed me.

Benecos Natural Nail Polishes in Vamp, Nordic Blue & Galaxy - Review & Swatches
Free from a long list of 'nasties' such as Titanium Dioxide, Toluene, Camphor, Colophony, Phthalates, Formaldehyde, Parabens, Carmine, Fragrance and Silicones, these Happy Nails Polishes are made from 90% naturally derived ingredients and are fortified with Avocado Oil and Biotin to help strengthen and nourish your nails. They feature a wide brush that's perfectly shaped so that it's super easy to swipe the polish down your nails and it makes the job much quicker too.

Currently, there are 17 shades available in the range, including these three beautiful new colours which have recently been released for Winter. Swatches below!

Benecos Happy Nails Natural Nail Polish in Vamp
Benecos Happy Nails Natural Nail Polish in Vamp*
I never tire of these dark burgundy red shades and Vamp is a colour that I'll definitely be wearing a lot of over the next couple of months. It's deliciously rich and glossy and takes just two coats to reach full opacity.

Benecos Happy Nails Natural Nail Polish in Nordic Blue
Benecos Happy Nails Natural Nail Polish in Nordic Blue
Nordic Blue is an interesting colour because I'm so used to seeing much darker shades such as traditional navy in most brands' Winter nail collections. Instead, Nordic Blue is more of a medium denim blue which I absolutely love. Applies smoothly in two coats.

Benecos Happy Nails Natural Nail Polish in Galaxy
Benecos Happy Nails Natural Nail Polish in Galaxy*
Oh, Galaxy, what a stunning colour you are! This multi-dimensional, dark grape purple has a metallic silver shimmer running through it, which is as captivating as star-gazing into the sky at night. It's not as glossy in finish as the other two shades above, but that's nothing a decent top coat can't sort out. Like the others, it applied easily in just two coats.

Benecos Happy Nails Natural Nail Polishes (5ml, £4.95 each) are available from Pravera.co.uk

Green Beauty: LoveLula Beauty Box - December 2018 review

Green Beauty: LoveLula Beauty Box - December 2018 review
The final LoveLula beauty box for the year arrived last week and it's packed full of green beauty pampering goodies, just in time for the Christmas break! The contents of the box are worth £60, so let's jump right in and see what's inside for December.

Kathleen Natural Sensual Rose Bubble Bath & Shower Gel
Kathleen Natural Sensual Rose Bubble Bath & Shower Gel (RRP £18)
One of the best things about the Christmas holidays is that extra time to indulge in a long hot bath (ideally with a good book and glass of wine - that's my idea of heaven), and this luxury Bubble Bath from Kathleen Natural will be such a pleasure to use. I received the Sensual Rose scent in my box which I'm so happy about as I was running low on some of my favourite rose-scented bath treats, so I'm looking forward to jumping into the tub with this one instead. No bath? Don't worry, it also doubles up as a Shower Gel so everyone can try it out.

Hairy Jayne Hair Perfume in Floral
Hairy Jayne Hair Perfume in Floral (30ml travel size - full-size retails for £22)
For hair, there's a beautiful Hair Perfume from Hairy Jayne in a handy travel size bottle. I've actually tried this before in the past and absolutely loved it because they smell amazing and fresh, plus you can use it as a heat protector, shine enhancer and frizz-tamer, so it's a pretty awesome multi-purpose product! A little goes a long way too, especially if you have fine hair like mine. They do a range of scents and this one is Floral which is a lovely mix of Geranium, Bergamot and Vanilla.

Seascape Island Apothecary Hand & Nail Cream in Refresh
Seascape Island Apothecary Hand & Nail Cream in Refresh (RRP £10)
You can never have enough hand cream at this time of the year and this one from Seascape Island Apothecary has won the 'Best Everyday Hand Cream' in the Beauty Shortlist Awards. It has a lovely nourishing texture thanks to key ingredients such as Shea Butter, Olive Oil and Beeswax, and sinks into the skin quickly without being sticky or feeling greasy afterwards. A must-try if your hands are feeling dry this Winter.

Glossworks Nail Polishes in Ruby On Nails & Silver Bullet (RRP £12 each)
I was hoping for something makeup related in the December box and LoveLula delivered with these two gorgeous festive Nail Polishes from their popular Glossworks range. They are cruelty-free, vegan-friendly and feature a 9-free formula (so there's no Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Toluene, DBP, Camphor, Parabens, Xylene, Ethyl Tosylamide or Lead) with a high-shine glossy finish - what more could you want?!

LoveLula Beauty Box* is a monthly subscription box priced at £13.95 with free postage in the UK. Visit lovelula.com to find out more.

October Beauty Favourites

October Beauty Favourites
Another month has flown by so it's time to reflect on some beauty favourites! This edit showcases the products that I've been reaching for the most often during October. Spot any of your own faves here?

Bondi Sands Self-Tanning Foam in Dark
Bondi Sands Self-Tanning Foam in Dark* (200ml, £14.99, link)
Summer is sadly over, so if you still want a gorgeous bronzed tan, it's time to hit the bottle! Regular readers will already know that I'm a huge fan of the Australian brand, Bondi Sands, and their Self-Tanning Foam in Dark is by far the best formula in their range. It's easy to use, doesn't streak or go patchy when you're applying it, and it has a yummy coconut scent. Whenever I use this, I find that I can usually get about 5-7 days worth of tanning goodness before I need to re-apply, and the colour is incredibly realistic and natural looking - no hints of orange at all! Highly recommended for anyone who is new to fake tanning or who just wants something easy and foolproof to use.

October Beauty Favourites
Botanicals Gentle Cleanse Melt* (30g travel size shown, full size is £26, link)
Cleansing balms are a staple in my skincare routine but they really come into their own when the cold weather starts, as I always find that my skin needs something 'extra' at this time of the year than just a gel or light cleanser. The Gentle Cleanse Melt from Botanicals contains a simple but effective blend of natural and certified organic ingredients such as Shea Butter and Coconut Oil, which effortlessly removes all traces of makeup and daily grime in one sweep. I love the semi-solid consistency because it melts quickly when massaged into the skin and it doesn't leave any greasy residue afterwards. Lovely stuff and suitable for vegans too.

Ultrasonic Beauty Algae Peel Off Mask with Spiriluna* (200g, £23, link
Featuring two of the year's big superfood ingredients, Algae and Spiriluna, this peel-off mask comes in a powder format that you mix with water to create a thick paste. Now, usually I find these kinds of masks a bit of a faff, but I've been pleasantly surprised by this one because the consistency is just right each time and it's easy to apply with a face brush or mask spatula. Once on the skin, it begins to harden and after 20 minutes, it's ready to be peeled off. This mask is brilliant for anyone who has dry, dehydrated and/or skin that's showing the first signs of ageing, as it helps to firm everything up (albeit temporarily), and makes you look instantly more glowy and revitalised. A good one to use if you have a hangover or have had a busy week and need a quick fix!

October Beauty Favourites
Leighton Denny Modern Bohemia in Vintage Chic & Bohemian Spirit* (12ml, £12 each, link)
For nails, I've been enjoying embracing all of the quintessential Autumnal shades, and Leighton Denny's new A/W18 Modern Bohemia collection is simply stunning. Two of my personal faves from the range are Vintage Chic, a dark purple-red that's beautifully rich and glossy, and Bohemian Spirit, a very chic muted lavender-grey that goes with everything. The formula is fantastic and long-wearing with plenty of shine - definitely worth checking out if you're in the market for some new nail polishes.

Illamasqua Antimatter Lipstick in Asteroid* (4.15g, £20, link)
Lastly, I just had to include Illamasqua's Antimatter Lipstick in the shade Asteroid, which I've been smitten with ever since I discovered it in last month's Cohorted beauty box. Not only is Asteroid the most beautiful, wearable mid-toned vampy red that I have in my makeup collection, but the brand's Antimatter formula is one of my favourites for when I want a longer lasting semi-matte finish. Super pigmented, it goes on creamy and it doesn't dry out my lips - win, win!

Autumn Colours: CND Vinylux Wild Earth Collection A/W 2018 - Review & Swatches

CND Vinylux Wild Earth Collection - Review & Swatches
The nights are already getting darker, there's a chill in the air and the ground is covered in crunchy fallen leaves; Autumn is officially here and CND's Wild Earth Collection for A/W 2018 has all the on-trend shades that your nails are craving right now.

Inspired by ‘Mother Earth’s endless array of textures, magnificent colour palette and breathtaking landscapes’, this shiny new collection from CND has colours to suit everyone's skin tone and there's enough variation in these six shades to keep things interesting all Autumn and Winter long. All of the below are available in the brand's Shellac and Vinylux formulas too, so let's jump into the swatches!

CND Vinylux Nail Polish in Spear
CND Vinylux Nail Polish in Spear*

Spear is a beautiful muted terracotta peach that will instantly appeal to those who like to stick with more neutral/nude shades - in fact, this would be a stunning nail polish for a bride that's looking for something chic, but different. It's very elegant and applied smoothly in just two coats.

CND Vinylux Nail Polish in Element
 CND Vinylux Polish in Element*

For something much louder, Element is a bright warmed toned red that looks amazing on both fingers and toes (I'm actually wearing it on my toes as I type!). I usually stick to these types of reds during Summer, but there's something very cheery about applying a fresh slick of bright red to the when it's cold and raining outside. Two coats is all you need.

CND Vinylux Polish in Brimstone
 CND Vinylux Polish in Brimstone*

Ooo now this is an unusual shade! I'm not quite sure what to call Brimstone - it's kinda like a pale beige with a hint of yellow and grey thrown into the mix. I didn't immediately fall in love with it, but the more I wear it, the more it grows on me. This took just two coats to reach full opacity.

CND Vinylux Polish in Arrowhead
 CND Vinylux Polish in Arrowhead*

Arrowhead is one of my favourites from this Wild Earth collection and it ticks all the right Autumnal boxes for me. It's a really beautiful rich and earthy, deep chocolatey mauve colour that applies so smoothly like all of the other polishes in this range. Simply stunning. I could have gotten away with two coats, but I did three thin coats to really seal the deal.

 CND Vinylux Polish in Dreamcatcher
 CND Vinylux Polish in Dreamcatcher*

Despite purple being one of my favourite colours, I don't actually own many purple nail polishes so Dreamcatcher has quickly become a new obsession. It's such a pretty shade of light purple/plum and has a very youthful and fun element to it. Two easy coats again.

CND Vinylux Polish in Blue Moon
CND Vinylux Polish in Blue Moon*

I'm a sucker for a deep, glossy navy blue, especially during the colder months, and Blue Moon has totally stolen my heart. It is drop dead gorgeous in every way, from the silky smooth application to the high-shine, gel-like finish, I just can't enough of these inky blues! Excellent two coat coverage too.

Shop the full range at NailPolishDirect.co.uk where all of these polishes are currently on sale for £6.95 each (RRP £9.95)

New In Beauty: CND Vinylux Boho Spirit Summer 2018 Collection - Review & Swatches

Wednesday, 27 June 2018

CND Vinylux Boho Spirit Summer 2018 Collection - Review & Swatches
One of my favourite things about the Summer months are all the new nail polish collections that come out, and CND's Vinylux Boho Spirit collection is giving me some serious holiday and festival vibes. Bring on the bright shades and try on some new pastel-esque hues while you're at it!

CND Vinylux is a specialist long-wearing nail polish range, and when used in conjunction with their Weekly Top Coat (which I've reviewed in the past here), you can usually get around 5-7 days worth of chip-free happiness on your talons. The brush is the perfect size for getting an easy level of coverage on in two quick coats and the shade range is vast and beautiful, with new collections being released all the time.

Here are some swatches of CND's latest Boho Spirit Collection for Summer 2018:-

CND Vinylux - Gypsy
CND Vinylux - Gypsy

Most of the oranges in my nail polish stash are bright neons that often veer onto a matte-ish finish, so it's refreshing to come across a shade like this which still retains a summery brightness, but has a much more creamier and smoother finish to it. Gypsy is such a beauty and looks amazing on toes too.

CND Vinylux - Unihibited
CND Vinylux - Unihibited

If you're looking for something that's classically pretty and office-friendly, Unhibited ticks all the right boxes. It's a stunning peachy-nude pink that looks very flattering on and goes with pretty much any outfit. Applies easily in just two creme laden coats and although I was half-expecting a hint of golden shimmer with a shade like this, it's completely shimmer-free like all the colours in this particular collection.

CND Vinylux - Offbeat
CND Vinylux - Offbeat

I'm a sucker for a hot pink-red and Offbeat did not disappoint. It brings all those coveted bright summery vibes that will finish off your look in no time at all. I literally live in shades like this and it's going to be hard for me to want to wear anything else this Summer! Two easy coats gives you the shiny result above.

CND Vinylux - Vagabond
CND Vinylux - Vagabond

I'm not gonna lie - the first time that I set eyes on Vagabond, I simply thought it was going to be one of those colours that I really dislike because these creamy, pale, mustardy yellows can be super tricky to pull off. Surprisingly though, it's been growing on me, so if you're looking for something new, different and on-trend to wear, definitely check it out.

CND Vinylux Polishes* (15ml, £9.95 each) are available from various stockists including NailPolishDirect.co.uk
