Top 4 Bath Salts To Help You Relax & Sleep | featuring This Works, M&S Apothecary, Westlab & Bloomtown

4 Amazing Bath Salts For Long, Luxurious Baths featuring This Works, M&S Apothecary, Westlab & Bloomtown Botanicals

Once only used by women of a 'certain age', bath salts are enjoying a long-awaited revival thanks to the self-care movement and I'm totally here for it! There are so many different blends and compositions to choose from these days that it can be a little overwhelming knowing what to buy. To point you in the right direction, I've put together my top four favourite bath salts post to help you to relax after a long day, and get a good night's sleep.

Bloomtown Pink Himalayan Salt Soak in The Rose Garden
If You Love Floral Scents Try: Bloomtown Pink Himalayan Salt Soak in The Rose Garden* (285g, £10, link)

Most bath salt products on the market are generally made up of Epsom salts, Magnesium flakes, or Dead Sea salts (or even a mix of these), so I wanted to feature a Pink Himalayan Salt product as they are also becoming much more popular. Not only does it look pretty, but Pink Himalayan Salt is famed for containing over 80 trace minerals including magnesium, potassium, iron, and calcium. This gives the salt a unique composition which is great for drawing out toxins and rejuvenating the skin. Just make sure to really stir these salts around the bath as they are harder to fully dissolve if you don't.

I'm a big fan of the Bloomtown Pink Himalayan Salt Soak in The Rose Garden scent which smells incredible; if you love heady floral fragrances mixed with musk, this is the one for you. It's also a good alternative for those who aren't keen on lavender scents, but still want something that's relaxing.

This Works Deep Sleep Bath Soak review
If You Want A Good Night's Sleep Try: This Works Deep Sleep Bath Soak* (200g, £24, link)

For my fellow insomniacs, you must try This Works Deep Sleep Bath Soak. In fact, the entire Deep Sleep range is incredible for those of us who really struggle to get to sleep, however, the Bath Soak is something special. Infused with the brand's signature Deep Sleep natural fragrance, these sea salts are saturated with an expert and clinically proven mix of Lavender, Vetivert, Patchouli, Ho Wood, and Wild Chamomile essential oils.

A truly relaxing and luxurious bath is sure to follow when these magical salts are added to the water and This Works recommend that you use them about two hours before you want to go to bed for the very best results. They are expensive, but it's worth pointing out that you only need to use a spoonful for each bath as they are so potent.

Westlab Mindful Bath Salts with Frankincense, Bergamot & CBD
If You're On A Budget Try: Westlab Mindful Bath Salts with Frankincense, Bergamot & CBD* (1kg, £3.79, link)

If you're looking for a more budget-friendly alternative, you absolutely can't go wrong with anything from Westlab. I have used their products regularly for years, and the quality is always wonderfully consistent, with excellent results. It was difficult to choose just one product from them as they have such a good range, but their Mindful Bath Salts are brilliant and they're something that I've recommended countless times to family and friends.

Here we have a mix of both Epsom and Himalayan mineral salts, along with the addition of CBD oil to promote a feeling of tranquility and essential oils of Cedarwood, Orange, Geranium, Frankincense, and Bergamot. You can pick up Westlab Bath Salts from a wide variety of stockists including many budget-friendly stores such as B&M and Saver's where you'll usually find a big 1kg bag for around £3.50 - £3.79, which is such a bargain!

M&S Apothecary Sleep Bath Salts review
If You Want Your Bathroom To Feel Like A Spa Try: M&S Apothecary Sleep Bath Salts* (300g, £7.50, link)

OK, so all of the bath salts in this post will make your bathroom smell amazing, but if you're looking for one that's going to go the extra mile and make it feel like a proper spa experience, M&S Apothecary is the range to look into. They have a couple of different blends available, and the Sleep Bath Salts are a clear winner in my humble opinion.

Housed in a beautiful smoked grey glass bottle with a classic apothecary style vibe, these sea salts instantly hit you with a really strong and heady fragrance of Lavender, Eucalyptus, Vetiver, and Jasmine. This fragrance will quickly fill your whole bathroom, evoking a sense of calm and relaxation. Best of all, you can purchase refills which not only help to cut down on your packaging waste, but also make these bath salts more affordable in the long run.

3 Of The Best Bubble Bars from Lush | Sleepy, Rainbow & Creamy Candy review #PlasticFree

3 Of The Best Bubble Bars from Lush

Colourful, plastic-free, and zero waste, Lush's Bubble Bars may not be as famous as their bath bombs but they are a more affordable option for those fun, indulgent bathtimes. Don't tell anyone, but I actually prefer the bubble bars over the bath bombs... and here are three of my favourites!

What Is A Bubble Bar?
First things first though, if you're not a Lush addict (or a Lushie as the fans are fondly known), you may be thinking, what exactly is a bubble bar? Good question! A bubble bar is very similar to a bath bomb in that it's solid and concentrated, however, the main difference is that they've been designed to be easily broken off into pieces so that you can crumble a chunk at a time under a running tap.

This is why they work out more cost-effective than a bath bomb; you can get several baths from one bubble bar, whereas most people will throw in a whole bath bomb into the tub (of course, there are some Lushies break up the bath bombs to get more uses out of them but I'm talking in general usage terms here).

Lush currently has around 20 different bubble bars in their range and in true Lush fashion, there are seasonal Limited Edition creations that pop up throughout the year. If you're new to Lush's bubble bars, here are three of my favourites which are available all year round.

Lush Sleepy Bubble Bar review
Lush Sleepy Bubble Bar (200g, £6.50)

With my obsession for any kind of product that helps me to sleep, the aptly named Sleepy Bubble Bar was always going to be high up on my favourites list.  Sleepy is a beautiful cloud-shaped bubble bar with lots of purple and pink colours swirled together. It smells sweet and comforting thanks to Lavender essential oil and Tonka Absolute, with a little Ylang Ylang thrown in for good measure. When crumbled into your bath, the water will transform into a gorgeous pinky-purple shade with lots of bubbles. The perfect bubble bar to use before bedtime!

Lush Rainbow Bubble Bar (200g, £6.50)

If you want something more uplifting for a weekend morning bath, you can't go wrong with Rainbow. This substantially chunky bubble bar always cheers me up whenever I see it, although I will say that the rainbow colours don't always translate well in the bath water. By this I mean, you can sometimes get some interesting reds and oranges coming through, and other times they have merged together to result in an unappealing dark, muddy yellow shade - but don't let this put you off! The citrusy scent of Rainbow is what keeps me repurchasing this one and not that bath art, as I love the vibrant notes of fresh oranges and lemons.

Lush Creamy Candy Bubble Bar (100g, £4)

Although it may be one of the smaller bubble bars that Lush produces, Creamy Candy is a must-have for anyone who loves Lush's sweeter fragrances. I also find that it seems to be more concentrated than other bubble bars in the respect that a small amount produces a mountain of bubbles. The pretty pink bathwater feels oh-so silky like you're bathing in the softest candyfloss and you'll emerge smelling of vanilla, sugary almonds and a hint of bubblegum.

Luxury Bathtime Treats from Neal's Yard Remedies: Beauty Sleep Foaming Bath & Geranium & Orange Bath Oil review

Monday, 6 February 2023

With temperatures dropping across the UK, now's the time to indulge in a long hot soak in the bath with a luxury treat from Neal's Yard Remedies. Glass of wine, optional of course.

I remember being a teenager when I first came across a Neal's Yard Remedies store on the high street and I adored the apothecary-style display of their iconic blue glass bottles in the window. Needless to say, Neal's Yard Remedies have been one of my favourite British organic cruelty-free and ethical brands for a long time, and I've always admired their strong and practical business sense which has kept the company trading in physical stores on the highstreet, when so many others have fallen by the wayside.

Indeed, a trip to a Neal's Yard Remedies shop is always a pleasure with their friendly educated staff and a wide range of skincare and body products to explore and play with. For your next shopping trip, consider adding these two bathtime bestsellers to your basket (physical or virtual - the choice is yours).

Neal's Yard Remedies Geranium & Orange Bath Oil (100ml, £19)
With 85% certified organic ingredients, Neal's Yard Remedies Geranium & Orange Bath Oil is actually a more affordable luxury option than several other brands of a similar quality and ethos, especially when you factor in that this is a large 100ml bottle. Bursting with bright and sunny Orange essential oil and revitalizing Bergamot essential oil, it's a firm favourite of mine to use during the dull and gloomy months to help banish those lingering post-January blues (when it feels like January stretches ever onwards until May!). I love the natural cheery fragrance so much and it makes my skin feel really soft and pampered afterward. As with all bath oils, a little goes a long way - you only need a tiny swirl added to a hot bath to get the full effects.

Neal's Yard Remedies Beauty Sleep Foaming Bath (200ml, £16)
For those who prefer their baths to be filled with bubbles, you absolutely can't go wrong with NYR's range of Foaming Baths, of which there is a Geranium & Orange version if you liked the sound of the above but don't like bath oils. I've had the pleasure of trying most of the Foaming Baths and Beauty Sleep is perhaps my personal favourite as I can never get enough of a product that's going to help me to get a good night's sleep. With an ultra-relaxing blend of organic Ylang Ylang, Clary Sage, and Patchouli essential oils, it smells exquisite and produces enough SLS-free bubbles to keep me in the tub for a good half hour's worth of me time.

Overall Thoughts
Dr. Hauschka's Rose Nurturing Bath Essence is one of those truly luxury bath time treats that you always want to have in your bathroom as soon as you try it for the first time. It's an easy product to fall in love with if you're a fellow rose fan, and this natural rose fragrance is just beautiful. In My Bathroom: Absolute Aromas Soothe & Detox Epsom Salts + Lemon Myrtle Natural Room Spray review

Absolute Aromas Soothe & Detox Epsom Salts + Lemon Myrtle Natural Room Spray review

Enjoying a long soak in the bath at the end of a busy week is one of life's small pleasures. The ritual of locking the door, turning on the tap, lighting a candle, and choosing to use one of your favourite bath products is something that I find so wonderfully relaxing.

As a beauty blogger, I'm utterly privileged and spoilt to be able to pick and choose from an array of bath oils, salts, bubble bars and all sorts of magical potions to help me unwind, but I often come back time and time again to bath salts, and in particular, Epsom Salts.

I've written about Epsom Salts many times in the past as I love they're naturally rich in Magnesium which is an essential mineral that many of us are deficient in. Luckily, you can boost your magnesium intake easily by adding a handful or two of Epsom Salts to your bath as your body readily absorbs them through your skin. The health benefits are well worth it too as Magnesium can help to relieve all manner of aches and pains, as well as anxiety and fatigue.

Needless to say, I have generally have a lot of Epsom Salts in my beauty stash and I love these two from Absolute Aromas. As one of the UK's leading aromatherapy brands, they certainly know a thing or two when it comes to creating some blissful bath salts and all of their products are 100% natural, cruelty-free and free from parabens and sulphates.

Absolute Aromas Soothe & Detox Epsom Salts + Lemon Myrtle Natural Room Spray review
Absolute Aromas Soothe Epsom Salts* (1kg, £9)
Epsom Salts are often sold in big bags which makes them more affordable and Absolute Aromas have 1kg bags for a bargain £9! You can choose from a range of different blends and I personally love this one called Soothe which features essential oils of Tangerine, Petitgrain and Neroli. As the name suggests, it really does help to soothe not only your mind, but also your skin, drawing out toxins and relaxing the nervous system.

To get the best results, I'd recommend using around a quarter of the bag per bath and pouring it under running water so that it dissolves easily. Deeply breathe in that lovely essential oil blend and let all your worries disappear for at least an hour. Heaven!

Absolute Aromas Soothe & Detox Epsom Salts + Lemon Myrtle Natural Room Spray review
Absolute Aromas Detox Epsom Salts* (300g, £4.50)
If you haven't tried Epsom Salts before or simply don't know which blend to opt for, I would suggest trying out some of the smaller tubs from Absolute Aromas so you can try the different ones that they make. These come in 300g tubs for £4.50 and are available across their range.

I was curious to see what the Detox Epsom Salts were like as the essential oil blend that's used for these is quite an interesting mix as it features Grapefruit, Juniper, Geranium, Palmarosa, Cedarwood, and Vitamin E. It's a gorgeous uplifting natural fragrance that invigorates the senses and would be suited for those who enjoy a morning bath at the weekend. I really enjoyed this blend and would certainly be adding the full-size bag to my next order.

Absolute Aromas Lemon Myrtle Natural Room Spray review
Absolute Aromas Lemon Myrtle Natural Room Spray* (30ml, £5)
There's a lot more to Absolute Aromas than just bath salts and a quick browse on their website will reveal a huge range of spa and massage products, skincare, aromatherapy oils, and much more! For some reason their Natural Room Sprays were calling to me so I tried out a mini bottle of their Lemon Myrtle blend which is incredibly zesty and uplifting - it instantly puts me in a good mood whenever I use it for a quick spritz around the bathroom!

Currently Loving: Good Bubble Bubble Baths for Families & Sensitive Skin

Tuesday, 31 May 2022

Who doesn't love a bubble bath? Whether you're a baby or a grandmother, everyone in the family can enjoy Good Bubble's range of affordable, skin-friendly Bubble Baths!

Good Bubble is a Dragon's Den success story when founder Amy Wordsworth appeared on the popular TV show to secure £60,000 of funding to make her business become a reality. Fast forward to the present day and Good Bubble is bigger and better than ever, yet her bubble baths have remained the same thanks to their skin-friendly formulations which are developed by industry experts to be kind and gentle on newborn and sensitive skin.

Naturally derived, vegan-friendly and cruelty-free, Good Bubble's products feature fruit extracts with mild allergen-free fragrances for a fresh and fun bathtime experience. Their 'no tears, no nasties' resonates with many who only want the best for the family, at an affordable price.

It's safe to say that I've been a fan of Good Bubble for a very long time, so it was high time that I shared some of my favourites from their Bubble Bath range with you all.

Good Bubble Bubbly Gruffalo Bath with Prickly Pear*
There's nothing prickly about this gorgeous fruity scent that has a cool and crisp fragrance. Made with Prickly Pear extract to help maintain the natural moisture levels of young and sensitive skin, this bubble bath delivers a lot of sulfate-free bubbles with just a squeeze under a running tap.

Good Bubble The Snail & The Whale Lotus Flower & Sea Minerals Bubble Bath*
If you love classic fresh and clean scents, you can't go wrong with this one featuring the children's book illustration from The Snail & The Whale. Bursting with breezy Sea Minerals and the delightfully heady and floral aroma of Lotus Flower, it's one that adults will love just as much as the little ones.

Good Bubble Super Bubbly Bubble Bath with Dragon Fruit*
A tried and tested bestseller for a reason, this Dragon Fruit version is hugely popular with its subtle fresh and floral fragrance. Ideal for those who don't like overpowering scents such as babies and young kids, it's a real crowdpleaser in the tub.

Good Bubble Super Bubbly Bubble Bath with Cloudberry*
My last choice is quite similar to the Dragon Fruit in that it's more of a milder, subtle scent, but still wonderfully fresh and of course very bubbly! Cloudberry has more of a fruity berries aroma and it's great for sensitive skin.

Currently Loving: Nourish London Soothing Muscle Bath & Shower, Complete Me Charge Up Supplements & PMD Kiss

Tuesday, 30 November 2021

November has been a month of personal highs and lows, but focussing on the positives, I've been enjoying some lovely new releases from the likes of Nourish London, Complete Me, and PMD. Let's jump straight to it, shall we?

Nourish London Soothing Muscle Bath & Shower* (300ml, £16, link)

If you follow me on Instagram, you'll know that I've been pretty ill for most of November thanks to a combination of flu which then developed into pneumonia. Let me tell you, having pneumonia is NOT fun! My whole body has been aching all over so it's been the ideal time to test out this newbie from Nourish London which launched last month - talk about a silver lining, eh?

Their new Soothing Muscle Bath & Shower has been a godsend for my weary muscles thanks to a revitalising formula of Epsom Salts, extracts of warming Turmeric and Ginger, and specially selected essential oils such as Lavender, Lemon, Pine, and Juniper. I'm not exaggerating when I describe this product as heavenly because it does such a great job of making you feel relaxed and renewed. As the name suggests, you can use this in both the bath and the shower, but I strongly recommend the bath for the best spa-like experience. Perfect for the end of a busy week or after doing sports.

It's cruelty-free, 100% natural, SLS-free and vegan-friendly, plus the recyclable bottle is made from 100% recycled plastic.

Complete Me Charge Up Energising Supplements* (30 capsules, £19.99, link)

Having been impressed with Complete Me's Sleeping Beauty blend last month (reviewed here), I was excited to try more from the brand and after such a long period of illness, the Charge Up supplements were definitely calling my name!

If you've been feeling run down and tired, these are for you. Each capsule contains 200mg of Vitamin C, 5mg of Thiamine (B1), 5mg of Riboflavin (B2), 5mg of Niacin, 200mg of Alpha Lipoic Acid, and 50mg of CoEnzyme Q10. Designed to give you an all-natural boost when you require it the most, the combination of the key vitamins C, B2, and B3 work together to help you combat tiredness and fatigue, whilst B1 supports and regulates healthy energy levels. The addition of antioxidants ALA and CoEnzyme Q10 further support a healthy metabolism and help the body to turn enzymes into energy.

These are vegan-friendly, gluten-free, non-GMO, and free from artificial colours and preservatives.

PMD Kiss Anti-Aging Lip Enhancing Treatment* (£129, link)

Lastly, I wanted to feature the latest release from PMD who has just brought out some new additions to their bestselling PMD Kiss System just in time for the upcoming festive season. Now available in soft blush pink (as pictured above) and teal green shades, the PMD Kiss is a smart anti-aging lip enhancing and plumping device that uses a pain-free and non-invasive form of pulsating vacuum technology to create the appearance of fuller and smoother lips.

I've found this is quite different from other similar products that I've trialed in the past as it also helps to smooth out lip lines and wrinkles, hence the anti-aging tagline, so if these have always bothered you, definitely give this a try as it's much safer than using injectables. Each kit comes with a specially formulated lip serum, lip sheet masks, a USB charging cord, and a one-year warranty.

Green Beauty: LoveLula Beauty Box - June 2020 review
If you love discovering new green beauty products and brands, the LoveLula Beauty Box is the perfect cruelty-free subscription box for you! June's edit features some fantastic products that you can easily incorporate into your everyday routine, and with the contents being worth £63, it's an absolute bargain!

Here's what I found inside, and don't forget that you can read my reviews of previous LoveLula Beauty Boxes here.

Kathleen Natural Citrus Cheer Bubble Bath & Shower Gel
Kathleen Natural Citrus Cheer Bubble Bath & Shower Gel (RRP £18)
I think it's safe to say that most of us could use some cheering up right about now, given the state of the world's current situation with COVID-19, so I was very happy to find this luxury Bubble Bath & Shower Gel from Kathleen Natural when I opened up the box. I've used the Tranquil Fields scent before which is great for winding down before bedtime, and this Citrus Cheer fragrance is the exact opposite as it's warming, zesty and very uplifting - perfect to use first thing in the morning if you're a night owl like I am! Suitable for all skin types, it can be used in both the bath and the shower so that everyone can enjoy its cheery goodness.

Humble By Nature Sweet Pea & Verbena Hand Cream
Humble By Nature Sweet Pea & Verbena Hand Cream (RRP £8)
A good quality hand cream is a must-have and I love the Sweet Pea & Verbena fragrance of this particular one from Humble By Nature, which is a brand that's been created by TV presenter Kate Humble. The main concept behind her brand is to create products that you can use to spoil yourself, without spoiling the environment which is something that I can definitely get behind!

Ooh! Oils Of Heaven Plum Face Oil
Ooh! Oils Of Heaven Plum Face Oil (RRP £19)
One of the fun things about a subscription to the LoveLula Beauty Box is that every now and again, they include a brand new product and subscribers are often among the very first people to try them out. This Plum Face Oil is the latest release from Ooh! Oils Of Heaven who are a brand that I've had the pleasure of using many of their amazing products from in the past. Described as a multi-tasker, this oil is rich in Omega 9 and leaves the skin feeling silky soft so it's particularly great for dry skin types.

Elsa's Organic Skinfoods Detox Natural Deodorant
Elsa's Organic Skinfoods Detox Natural Deodorant (RRP £18)
The final product in this month's LoveLula Beauty Box is another luxury natural treat and although it's a somewhat mundane everyday product, I'm actually really excited to try it! I'm a huge fan of Elsa's Organic Skinfoods deodorants and have been recommending them to friends and family ever since I reviewed them two years ago (read my review of Elsa's here), so it's great to see the brand back with a new product.

This Detox Natural Deodorant is a super-concentrated formula that contains Activated Charcoal and Bentonite Clay to deliver all-day protection which is much more powerful than any other natural deodorant. I must admit that I do struggle to find a natural deodorant that works for me during a heatwave summer, so keep your eyes peeled on my Instagram Stories to see how I get on with this as the weather continues to warm up!

LoveLula Beauty Box* is a monthly subscription box priced at £13.95 with free postage in the UK. Visit lovelula.com to find out more.

Currently Loving: Sister & Co Almond Milk Bath Soak, True Cleansing Oil, Raw Cacao & Coffee Sugar Scrub and PURE Hydrate & Renew Face Oil review

Sister & Co Almond Milk Bath Soak, True Cleanse Cleansing Oil, Raw Cacao & Coffee Sugar Scrub and PURE Hydrate & Renew Face Oil review
Last month, I was lucky enough to win a fantastic natural beauty giveaway on Instagram from Pure Spa & Beauty, and I've been enjoying the products that I won so much that I wanted to share a quick review of them on here!

Inside my prize package, I found three products from the London based luxury brand Sister & Co, plus a facial oil from Pure Spa & Beauty's own brand range which they were kind enough to include for me to try out.

Sister & Co True Cleanse Cleansing Oil review
Sister & Co True Cleansing Oil*

I'm a huge fan of using cleansing oils to remove my makeup after a long day so I was delighted to discover the True Cleanse Oil from Sister & Co. Packaged in a luxurious glass bottle with a handy pump dispenser, this cleansing oil is made from 100% raw, natural and organic ingredients which are hand-blended here in England.

This is a really lovely cleanser for all skin types as it's gentle but effective, so it would be perfectly suitable for even sensitive skin to try. Key ingredients include Apricot Kernel Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Frankincense Oil, Rose Flower extract and Vitamin E, and it feels as nourishing as it sounds! The scent is very subtle with just a hint of Rose coming through and 1-2 pumps is all you need to thoroughly cleanse your whole face - I like to apply it with my hands to dry skin, give it a good massage and then use a warm flannel to remove it. Hello beautifully soft and clean skin!

Sister & Co Almond Milk Bath Soak review
Sister & Co Almond Milk Bath Soak*

Almond Milk is often the go-to milk alternative for those who are going dairy-free, but have you tried having a bath in the stuff?! This gorgeous Bath Soak features dehydrated Almond Milk so that you can reap all of its skin-softening benefits. There's also Kaolin Clay to purify and draw out impurities, and warm and fragrant Cardamom is added to the mix to create a seriously indulgent pampering bathtime experience that will instantly give you Cleopatra- bathing-in-milk vibes.

Like the Cleansing Oil above, the Bath Soak is packaged in glass, made from 100% natural ingredients, is vegan-friendly and SLS-free.
Sister & Co Raw Cacao & Coffee Sugar Scrub review
Sister & Co Raw Cacao & Coffee Sugar Scrub review
Sister & Co Raw Cacao & Coffee Sugar Scrub

Pouches of loose coffee and sugar-based body scrubs have been popular for a while now and for good reason - all of the brands that I've tried have delivered excellent results and this one from Sister & Co is no exception. Packed full of antioxidants thanks to the 100% raw and natural concoction of Coffee Seed Powder, Coconut Sugar, Cocoa Butter, Pumpkin Seed Oil, Coconut Oil, Sweet Almond Oil and Vitamin E, this scrub has an uplifting natural fragrance of Peppermint and Orange essential oils so it's a great product to use first thing in the morning to awaken the senses!

I generally use one or two large handfuls all over my body, concentrating on those 'wobbly bits' to promote a healthy circulation and smooth the skin. Yes, it's messy and you'll want to give your shower a proper rinse down after using it, but it's a lot of fun at the same time. Who doesn't want skin as soft as a baby's bottom afterwards?

PURE Hydrate & Renew Face Oil review
PURE Hydrate & Renew Face Oil*

I'd not heard of Pure Spa & Beauty before until I started to follow them on Instagram, so I was thrilled to try out one of their own-brand products - the Hydrate & Renew Face Oil which I believe is used in some of their facial treatments. Made in the UK (the brand are based in Edinburgh), this 100% natural and cruelty-free Face Oil is free from parabens and boasts many of my favourite skin-loving ingredients.

There's Macadamia Seed Oil, Safflower Seed Oil, Sesame Seed Oil, Calendula, Jojoba Seed Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Tamanu Seed Oil and Vitamin E to name just a few of the hydrating and Omega-rich properties that this Face Oil has, and with additional essential oils of Orange, Rose, and Frankincense, it smells naturally beautiful too. I've been using it regularly in the evenings to moisturise my poor Winter battered complexion and I simply love the glow that it gives come the morning - definitely one to try out for yourselves.

June & July Empties: Products That I've Used Up

June & July Empties: Products That I've Used Up
The eagle-eyed amongst you will have spotted that I didn't do an Empties post last month as I only had about four finished products in my basket, but I've made up for it now with a bumper collection of Empties today! Here's everything that I've used up over the past two months.

Weleda Citrus Hydrating Body Lotion* (travel size)
I've been trying to use up more of my minis and Weleda has such a great selection that you can try. Their Body Lotions are brilliant and I loved this Citrus Hydrating one which smells really uplifting and summery. Repurchase? Yes.

Weleda Birch Cellulite Oil (travel size)
One of the few topical 'anti-cellulite' products that actually seems to make a difference to the texture of your skin when used alongside body brushing. Highly recommended if this is an area of concern for you. Repurchase? I already have a full-size bottle that I've recently reviewed here.

Weleda Birch Body Scrub
I bought this to use when I was doing the Spring Cleanse 30 Day Challenge but sadly, I just didn't find it scrubby enough for me as I prefer a lot more 'grit' in my body exfoliators. I imagine that it would be great for sensitive skin though. Repurchase? No.

LUSH Happy Hippy Shower Gel
It's been a long time since I finished up a product from LUSH! I received this in a Christmas gift set and it's still one of my favourite products from them - the scent is really fruity and juicy! Repurchase? Yes.

June & July Empties: Products That I've Used Up
Zenon Kition Floral Beauty Mist* (reviewed here)
I've had this in my travel bag for about a year and have only just used it up. It's a brilliant, straight-up rosewater facial toner without anything else added and feels wonderfully refreshing to use on a hot day. Repurchase? Will do once I've used up some other toners first.

The Library Of Fragrance Spray in Baby Powder (travel size)
Another travel bag item that I've had for a while - this smells exactly like Baby Powder so if you like clean, comforting fragrances like that, definitely try it. Repurchase? Already have!

Antipodes Joyful Hand & Body Cream(reviewed here)
Regular readers will know that I adore this as it's one of my favourite luxury body care products and I've gone through several tubes of it in the past. If you have a shop that sells Antipodes near you, you must pop in and smell it - it's divine. Repurchase? Yes.

Handmade Naturals Ultra Light Face Cream(reviewed here)
Yet another travel bag essential from earlier in the year, this Ultra Light Facial Cream is perfect for oily and problematic skin types, especially during the Summer months as it's very balancing and easily absorbed. Repurchase? Will do once I've used up a few other face moisturisers.

June & July Empties: Products That I've Used Up
Bilou Cotton Candy Gentle Cream Foam*
This is such an unusual product for me to mention because I typically hate and very rarely use anything that's foaming as it dries out my skin, but I've been able to use this for shaving my legs and it's worked a treat! The Cotton Candy scent is way too sickly sweet IMO though. Repurchase? Probably not.

Dr. Hauschka Lemongrass Vitalising Bath Essence (travel size)
Dr. Hauschka do some incredible bath oils and this Lemongrass Bath Essence was no exception. Ideal for an early morning bath on a relaxing Sunday morning to help you recharge after a busy or stressful week. Repurchase? Yes.

Tropic Clear Skin Blemish-Fighting Mask(reviewed here)
My go-to face mask for when any blemishes have popped up over the past couple of months, I've really enjoyed using this dedicated treatment from Tropic. It draws everything out so great for stubborn blackheads and unclogging pores. Repurchase? Yes.

Tropic So Sleepy Pillow Mist(travel size)
I'm a terrible sleeper as many of you know so I regularly use calming aromatherapy based products like this to help put my anxious mind to rest. I liked this pillow mist but I don't think it's as effective as the one from This Works. Repurchase? Probably not.

June & July Empties: Products That I've Used Up
Esse Eye Contour Cream(reviewed here)
I was over the moon when I won this in a Christmas giveaway because I've used it in the past and absolutely loved it, but the price tag was just too expensive for me to repurchase. If you have a big budget for luxury natural skincare, I guarantee that you will fall in love with this brand! Repurchase? Sadly out of my price range at the moment :(

infuse My Colour Copper Wash(reviewed here)
If you're looking for a shampoo treatment that will add colour and life back into your hair between hair dye sessions, I strongly recommend checking out the range from infuse My Colour. I use henna every 4-5 months and use this about once a week or fortnight when I want to freshen up my colour. Repurchase? I'm currently using the Ruby Wash for a change.

Baija Green Tea Jasmine Body Oil (travel size)
A friend brought me this back from Paris last month and oh my, it smells incredible! Gorgeous silky formula and the fragrance is to-die-for. Repurchase? If I can find it in the UK, I will!

MOA Dreamy Mineral Soak(reviewed here)
Last, but not least, I have an empty pouch of MOA's Dreamy Mineral Soak which is a beautiful blend of infused Himalayan and Sea Salts. Super relaxing for mind and body, so perfect to use before bedtime for a peaceful night's sleep. Repurchase? Yes.

Good Bubble - Super Bubble Bath and Grubby Gruffalo Hair & Body Wash for Newborns & Sensitive Skin
Winter has not been favourable to my eczema prone, sensitive skin this year, but on a more positive note, it has allowed me to discover some wonderful new-to-me brands, including Good Bubble.

On the outside, Good Bubble may look like every other skincare company that's aimed towards the parents of newborns and young kids, with their collaboration featuring the popular Gruffalo series and the 'no tears' signage on the bottles. However, look a little further and you'll discover a brand that's dedicated to providing better formulas for said newborns and kids, as well as anyone who suffers from sensitive skin like myself.

The naturally-derived and organic range of Bubble Baths, Shampoo, Conditioners, Moisturisers and Body Washes from Good Bubble are all free from a long list of 'nasties' which can cause irritation, common allergic reactions or sensitivity to the skin such as sulfates (SLS and Sodium Coco-Sulfate), silicones, parabens, PEG, phthalates and artificial colours. And their products won't break the bank either, with affordable prices starting at just £1.99 to £3.99.

Good Bubble have lots of different variations of their products available, so I was eager to test out two of their most popular ones; the Super Bubble Bath with Dragon Fruit Extract and the Grubby Gruffalo Hair & Body Wash with Prickly Pear Extract.

Good Bubble Super Bubble Bath with Dragon Fruit Extract(400ml, £3.29, link)
SLS is the main ingredient which tends to aggravate my sensitive skin, so I try to avoid it as much as possible in my bath and shower products. For this reason, I often reach for bath oils or melts over bubble bath products, which is why I was pleased to come across the Super Bubble Bath as it's free from irritating sulfates. It doesn't produce a mountain of bubbles as a result, however, there are plenty to play with and it certainly satisfies my bubble bath cravings! The fruity fragrance is lovely too, but it isn't overpowering so it should suit fussy kids just fine.

Good Bubble Grubby Gruffalo Hair & Body Wash with Prickly Pear Extract* (250ml, £3.69, link)
Like the Super Bubble Bath above, the Grubby Gruffalo Hair & Body Wash is also made from 98% naturally derived ingredients and has a mild and gentle formula which makes it suitable to be used as a shampoo, as well as an everyday body wash. It gets the job done quickly and well - I even tried it out on my notoriously difficult four-year-old niece at the weekend who hates having her hair washed, and she didn't seem to mind this one at all! It left her hair soft and thoroughly clean which her mum was very happy with. She also liked the fruity scent and adored the Gruffalo illustration, so it was smiles all round for a change!
