Review: Korres Lip Butters in Wild Rose, Pomegranate & Quince: Photos & Swatches

Korres Lip Butter (6g, £6 each)

I have loved Korres Lip Butters for a very long time, so this rave review is very much overdue.  They are in fact one of only a tiny handful of lip products that I have repurchased the same shades of when they had run out.  Now that's some serious loving right?

Korres Lip Butters come packaged in handbag friendly, little plastic pots with a sturdy screw off lid.  The lid colour corresponds to the shade and flavour of the lip butter inside (as well as an ingredient in the formula), and I love the typography.

Lip Butters are essentially tinted lip balms, but have a more buttery moisturising formula than most on the market, which may be down to the blend of shea butter and rice wax included in the formula.  They are petrolatum free, cruelty free and suitable for vegans.

I have four of these in my current collection.   Guava (not shown, it lives in my desk drawer at work and I completely forgot to take it home with me) is a clear balm that leaves a glossy finish on the lips and smells/tastes amazingly fruity.  Quince is a pretty rosy pink, whereas Wild Rose is a deeper rose with a cool/blue undertone to it.  My favourite is Pomegranate which is a summery coral shade, yet one which I wear all year round because it adds a little brightness to my sometimes typical dull A/W complexion.

On the lips, all of these deliver a sheer wash of colour which you can blot to create a more stained finish if desired or simply leave them as they are for some subtle shine.  You can also use them like cream blushers to add a pop of colour to your cheeks, making them a versatile addition to your make-up bag.  I love them and really want to pick up the other shades in the range too!

Are you a fan of Korres Lip Butters?
