One of my favourite natural/eco brands, Odylique, recently asked me to take part in their '7 Days to Smooth Feet Challenge'. As I'm one of those people who loves to live in flip flops and sandals the minute the weather gets warmer, I decided to take part and give my feet some much needed TLC. (There are no scary photos of my feet though - don't worry!)
For the challenge, I very kindly received from Odylique a Smooth Foot Kit (comprising of a full size Coconut Candy Scrub and Calendula Balm), and a pair of organic cotton socks from Greenfibres.
My feet were feeling pretty dry and a little rough around the edges thanks to being squeezed into a new pair of shoes that week so when I get home on Day 1, I went into the bathroom and scooped out a decent amount of the Coconut Candy Scrub. I absolutely love this scrub and have raved about it several times in the past. It's 100% natural and mainly made up of Fairtrade Sugar, Virgin Coconut Oil, Cold-Pressed Sunflower Oil, Cocoa Bean Butter and lots of exfoliating Poppy Seeds. I massaged it into my feet and scrub, scrub, scrubbed! After rinsing, my feet were immediately softer and smoother. Because the scrub does such a good job, I found that I didn't need to use it everyday for the challenge at all and only used it again on Day 6. To be honest, I think I'll be keeping this for body use only in the future because it seems far too luxurious to use on my feet!
Before going to bed each night, I rubbed a small amount of the 100% natural and organic Calendula Balm into my feet and slipped on a pair of socks. The balm is super rich and thick so a little goes a long way and it can be used on any dry skin areas that need need extra hydration and support (I find it works particularly well on Eczema too). Every morning I woke up to baby soft feet that were ready to be proudly showed off in my new sandals.
