St Tropez Gradual Tan Tinted Body Lotion review
There are a couple of good magazine freebies out on the stands this month, but I've only rushed out to buy one of them so far.

I am somewhat addicted to self-tanning (faking it of course - no sunbeds!) and I'm happy to slap on any product that promises to give me a healthy looking, sun-kissed holiday glow. When I was checking out the magazine freebies this month, there was only one product that really jumped out at me and that was a shiny new release from St. Tropez which is attached to June's edition of Marie Claire (Drew Barrymore cover).

The new product in question is St. Tropez's Gradual Tan Tinted Body Lotion.  I eagerly picked this up last week so I've managed to have a little play with it already. As with all gradual tanners, this is great for newbies and people who don't want to commit to the high maintenance ritual of doing a full on at-home tanning routine, or simply don't have the time to do so. Instead, you can apply a product like this in a couple of minutes everyday and you'll start to develop a healthy looking, subtle tan.

This one has a much thicker lotion consistency that what I'm used to, so I found it a little difficult to rub in, but I did find it more hydrating than others that I've tried in the past. I started to see some colour development after just 8/10 hours (I first applied it before going to bed) and the shade was a natural looking sunkissed colour. It darkened a tiny bit the second day but didn't change much by the third or fourth for me (though this will depend on what your natural skin colouring is to begin with and also how often you shower, exfoliate etc).

All in all, I really like it for a light tan colour with no orangeness, it doesn't smell biscuity and it's a good quick fix, low maintenance product to have in your beauty stash!

St. Tropez's Gradual Tan Tinted Body Lotion (50ml travel size) is free with Marie Claire magazine - June 2016 edition - £2.50 at Tesco.

Have you picked up this or any other of the magazine freebies out this month?
