Review: Kleenex Shine Absorbing Sheets

Thursday 4 October 2012

Kleenex Shine Absorbing Sheets (50 per pack, £2.99, link)

Having an oily t-zone can be a right pain in the ass.  You put your make-up on in the morning and then by mid-day, instead of that glowing, dewy complexion that you achieved at 7am, you have a horrible, greasy shine down the center of your face.  NOT attractive!  This is why blotting papers are a handbag staple for many women (and men!) who are plagued with the curse of the oily t-zone.

Kleenex Shine Absorbing Sheets come in a simple cardboard pack with an attractive design on the front.  Even inside, the sheets themselves are pretty!  You get 50 sheets in each pack and they are powder free and made from sort of plastic feeling material.

Each sheet is purple and has a plain side which you blot your face with and a patterned other side which makes using them in public, seem a lot nicer.  But let's get down to the nitty gritty here.

Do they actually work?

Yes!  These are the best blotting sheets I've ever used and work even better than my previous favourites which were The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil sheets.  The Kleenex ones just absorb ALL the shine/oil/grease, whatever you wanna call it, from your face and you can see it for yourself on the sheets afterwards.  They live up to the claims of not disturbing your make-up too which is a major bonus of course.  Love them!

If you fancy trying them out, they're currently on a half price offer for just £.149 a pack at Superdrug which is where I picked mine up.

Have you tried these?  Do you use blotting sheets?

  9. I love these!!! I bought a pack of blotting sheets years ago in Sally and was so upset when they stopped selling them. So you can imagine how happy I was to spot these in Tesco last year! Very handy little product!

  10. I get a perverse sense of satisfaction looking at my oil blotting sheet after I've pressed it to my T-zone - the more translucent it is, the better LOL :p These sound like they could be right up my alley for that purpose!
