terre d'Oc Blogger Event, London

Tuesday 9 October 2012

Yesterday, I hopped on a train and went down to London for an intimate blogger event hosted by the French brand, terre d'Oc.  I was very excited to see some of their make-up and skincare range, all of which are made from natural and organic ingredients.

terre d'Oc have been around for about 15 years and have stores across Europe and in New York.  They only recently came to the UK about a year ago and I discovered the brand through an Amarya box.  I reviewed one of their Sublime Shine Lip Glosses here and have since been very eager to see what the rest of their range was like.

The start of the event was a detailed discussion about the products (skincare and make-up), including the key ingredients used and where they're from, the brand's ethical stance and organic commitments and a brief history of terre d'Oc itself.

To demonstrate the make-up range, terre d'Oc's MUA created a subtle glamorous evening look on the beautiful French lady who works for terre d'OC above (can't remember their names sorry, but they both looked stunning!).

There was a large display of the make-up range and I had a lot fun swatching everything!  As you can see, the range is very neutrals friendly because terre d'Oc only use natural pigments which can be found in nature and come from nature.

In the photo above you can see the cream Eyeshadow Duos, Powder Eyeshadows and the Lipsticks which were so cute and dinky!

Powder Eyeshadows, absolutely gorgeous with Mother of Pearl which give all of the shades a beautiful shimmer.

The full range of the Sublime Shine Lip Glosses.  These have coconut butter blended in the formula to make them super moisturising on the lips and they all have a subtle cherry flavour.

These are the new BB Cream Radiant Foundations, I was very impressed by the coverage of these!

I also tested out the new Karite skincare & body range, which contains shea butter and felt very hydrating on the skin.  All of the lotions sunk in straight away without any greasiness.

I met the lovely Rebecca - here she is getting ready for a mini terre d'Oc makeover!

At the end of the event (or near to, I had to run to catch my train home so unfortunately had to leave a little early), I received a beautiful goody bag, filled with terre d'Oc make-up.  Let me know if you'd like to see any reviews of these, I wore the eyeshadow today and it's so gorgeous.

Despite being super nervous and feeling a bit run down with a cold, I had a great time and left with a million swatches on the backs of my hands!  I'm sure the lady sitting next to me on the train home thought I was incredibly strange!  Big thanks to Gina & the terre d'Oc ladies for inviting me!

Have you tried anything from terre d'Oc?

    1. I have been eyeing more terre d'oc products up for a while, I have the eyeshadow and the lipgloss such gorgeous colours, do you remember if the bronzers had any shimmer in? I need to go to an actual store to see more of their products but no where sells the brand near me.

    2. I swatched all three shades of bronzers and they were shimmery, but not overly so if you get what I mean? When the MUA applied it in the makeovers, it gave a very nice healthy glow on the skin, instead of being super sparkly :)

Hopefully they'll branch out in the near future, it would be great to see them stocked in the new M&S Beauty Halls or in Selfridges!

    1. It is a pain when nearly all of the events like this are in London I must admit :( I travelled down from Manchester, but was only able to make it because I'd arranged to visit friends down there beforehand so it was good timing for me!
