Review: Jurlique Purely Bright Facial Mist

Monday 13 May 2013

Jurlique Purely Bright Facial Mist* (100ml, £25)

I've lost count of the amount of times that these facial mists from Jurlique have been recommended to me, so when the opportunity arose to try one for myself, I jumped straight for it.  I've been using this for around a month now, so I feel like it's time for me to share my thoughts.

Jurlique's Purely Bright Facial Mist is from their Purely Bright line which has a whole host of dedicated skincare products aimed at restoring radiance to dull and uneven complexions.  Every product has the unique VitaBrightKX formula which is a blend of the following natural extracts; Kakadu Plum for reducing skin discolouration, Citrus Unshiu Peel for decreasing the appearance of dark spots, African Birch for helping increase skin firmness and Vitamin C to protect the skin and improve clarity.  Along with this formula, the mist also contains Daisy, Calendula, Witch Hazel and Self Heal Extracts to further help the skin get its glow back.

I've been using this in the mornings after cleansing, and find it works best for me when I spray it directly into the palms of my hands and then press it onto my skin (you leave this on and don't need to remove it with a cotton wool pad or anything like that).  The spray applicator is a bit too fierce for my liking, so I prefer the palms method and find that it also uses less product that way.  Due to all of the natural extracts in it, it does have a fresh, almost floral meets grassy sort of scent to it, like you've been walking through a meadow.

I feel that this facial mist helps to perk up my tired skin and makes me look much more awake which is a miracle for me.  This is one that I definitely think will help my skin improve in the long term, rather than being just a quick fix.  And from a a soley aesthetic point of view, the glass bottle looks rather luxe and quietly expensive on a dressing table or bathroom shelf.

Have you tried any of the Jurlique Facial Mists?

  2. Great review, I dislike using cotton wool too, I normally just spray on my face and dab too lol, xoxo.

  3. When I use toner I just spritz on skin and leave it to sink in as seems a shame to wipe off because the ingredients are beneficial. I've not tried any Jurlique products.

    1. Same here, always seems so wasteful when I see people using cotton wool rounds with it x

    1. I love it! I'm a big fan of their Rose Hand Cream and the Brightening Cleanser from this same range is really good too. I'm also using their Rose Finishing Powder which is so lovely to use for special occasions to get that flawless finish :)

  10. It sounds lovely! Is this suitable for oily skin? I find that a lot of products like this just sit on top of my skin and make it extra greasy :/

    1. I don't find this at all troublesome for my combination skin, but the Citrus range that Jurlique do may be better suited to your oily skintype. They have a spray in that line too :) x

  12. I've been looking to buy a face mist to give a bit of a boost and vitamins to my skin from weeks now. I read so many good reviews about this product and generally about this brand that i can't wait to try...Would be great to have an "updated" review after several weeks of using this mist and see if in effect does make a difference :)

Anyway I have just started my own blog about natural and organic skin products, would be lovely if you could pass by and let me know what you think :)
