Review: NEOM Organic Room Mist in Refresh (Sicilian Lemon & Fresh Basil)

Wednesday 28 August 2013

NEOM Organic Room Mist in Refresh* (100ml, £16, link)

I've never used room sprays in the past, but since moving into a house with a dog, I've come to appreciate the benefits of having one handy to use before guests come around.  My room spray of choice?  Well, it had to be something from NEOM of course.

Whilst NEOM are most famous for their incredible candles (as well as their gorgeous bath & body products), the rest of their home fragrance range is certainly worth looking into.  Their Organic Room Mists come packaged in an elegant frosted glass bottle with a perfectly crafted spray applicator which delicately mists the product, rather than soaking everything in sight.  Currently their are four fragrances to choose from; Real Luxury, Refresh, Tranqulity & Complete Bliss, all of which are classic NEOM scents.

I was after something uplifting, so I opted for Refresh; a simple, pure scent that features clean basil combined with fresh, real lemons (strictly no sickly, synthetic fragrances or preservatives here, just 100% pure essential oils mixed with spring water and pure grain alcohol).  The result is most definitely refreshing, and always has a habit of perking me up when I'm feeling tired after a long day.

A little goes a long way with this, so just a a few sprays will be enough to lightly fragrance and refresh a room.  As well as using it as a general room spray, you can also spritz it onto any bedding, curtains, furniture and fabric lampshades to enhance the scent, without the worry of it staining anything.  I think this would make a lovely housewarming gift or a treat for anyone who likes to look after their home.

Do you like to use room mists in your home?

  5. This sounds so good! I love room sprays but I don't like how synthetic some of them can be... this one seems really non-toxic, so I'll definitely look into it!

  12. I think I might find myself purchasing this very soon. Refresh is always the candle I gravitate towards whenever I get near a NEOM stockist, but I hadn't thought to try one of the room mists.
