Laidbare have recently brought out a couple of new products, and I've had these two on the go in my bathroom ever since they arrived on my doorstep. One's a firming body moisturiser for those 'wobbly bits' and the other is an exfoliator. Together they are two fantastic summer beauty staples.
Laidbare Smooth As A Peach Cellulite Buster* (125ml, £9.99, link)
I'm very sceptical when it comes to trying out products which promise to do anything for cellulite, because they rarely ever work. To get rid of, or reduce the amount of cellulite you have, is going to require a clean, healthy diet and lots of daily exercise. And even then, some people are just predisposed to getting some anyway! That said, I do like to use firming body moisturisers to smooth out the skin's surface where you have those wobbly and orange peely bits, and Smooth As A Peach really does work well on that front.
Like all Laidbare products, it uses a variety of natural ingredients to get these results. So it has Catappa Leaf Extract to firm, tighten and tone skin tissues, Sambucus Nigra Elder Flower Extract to brighten and balance the skin's appearance, Caffeine to reduce that orange peel effect, and Chlorella Vulagaris to significantly reduce the appearance of stretch marks. The formula smells gorgeous (think fresh and floral), and it's light, completely non-greasy and absorbs into the skin super fast. I can't comment on its effective on cellulite and stretch marks just yet, but as a general body moisturiser it's certainly hydrating, and it makes my skin feel smooth and look more supple.
Laidbare Scrub A Dub Dub Daily Face & Body Exfoliator* (125ml, £6.99, link)
Body scrubs go hand in hand with getting prepped for summer, and deliver even better results when used with a product like the one above. The adorable named Scrub A Dub Dub has Corn Powder to gently exfoliate and deeply cleanse the skin, whilst Grapefruit Seed Extract helps to get rid of any impurities with its anti bacterial properties, and Green Tea which is renown for its antioxidant values, helps skin to look its best. The scrub is mainly in a gel formula, and the exfoliating particles are gentle but effective. Despite it being SLS free, I did find this a bit too drying for using on my face, but as an all over body scrub, it's great and smells very invigorating!
Do you use any Laidbare products?

DeleteBoth seem like a great choice, even I am sincere I don't believe in cellulite cremes, but if its smooth why not? A good scrub is always welcome
ReplyDeleteDitto, I don't think anything can change cellulite other than a clean diet and lots of exercise, but I'm more than happy with the smoothing results :)
