5 Mini Reviews: Eve Lom, Melvita, L'Occitane, Avene & Raw Gaia

Sunday 25 May 2014

Minis and sample sizes - I just love them so, especially when you get enough in them to try them out multiple times.  Here are five that I've used up recently and my overall thoughts on them.

(1)  Eve Lom Rescue Mask
This face mask is so hyped up and it really is amazing stuff!  It's a Kaolin Clay based mask which is an absolute skin saviour for those times when your face is looking anything but pretty.  It detoxes, draws out all of those pesky impurities and helps to clear up blemishes a treat.  I've used a couple of sample sizes of this now and every time I apply it, I'm always impressed with the results.
Purchase the full size?  Yes, but sadly it's not cheap, so it's one I'm adding to my wishlist for now.

(2)  Melvita Fresh Moisturizing Body Milk
Lovely light body lotion, perfect for the Summer months and has a gorgeous fresh Rose scent to it.  It absorbs quickly into the skin and doesn't feel greasy or sticky.
Purchase the full size?  Definitely one I'd pick up for a pampering treat.

(3)  L'Occitane Almond Delicious Paste
Gorgeous thick body exfoliator, very scrubby (but never feels too harsh) and super moisturising with it.  Shares the same scent as L'Occitane's Almond range that I love - it's much more of a floral almond flower fragrance, rather than a sweet nutty one.
Purchase the full size?  L'Occitane often have good sales and offers on, so I'll wait until one of those comes around again before picking this up as it's quite pricey.

(4)  Avene Gentle Gel Cleanser
I've really not been liking a lot of Avene products that I've tried recently, and this cleanser was unfortunately not an exception.  I didn't feel like it cleansed my skin properly, even if I washed with it twice, and it felt a little too drying and stripping for a supposedly 'gentle' cleanser.
Purchase the full size?  No.

(5)  Raw Gaia Organic Raw Chocolate Face Pack
This was good - it comes in a powder format that you add a tiny amount of water too, and then mix into a paste to apply to your face.  It's a little messy to use, but the results were great - my skin was left looking brighter and clearer after the second use, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who has oily or combination skin.  And yes, it does have raw chocolate in it, how cool is that?!
Purchase the full size?  Yes.

Have you tried any of these?
