Over the past couple of weeks, I've been treating my skin to a luxury at-home facial using Kimia's 100% natural, award winning and much talked about Rejuvenating Facial System.

Whilst I use more 'green' products in my skincare routine now than I've ever done, I know that some people are still struggling to find clean products that actually work as well as the big brands such as Estee Lauder, Clarins etc.  Which is where Kimia comes in.  They specialise in creating 100% natural products that deliver noticeable results which are just as good (if not better) than their mainstream counterparts.  With this in mind, I was very excited to give their Rejuvenating Facial System a go.   The two-part system consists of an Exquisite Facial Oil and a Hydra-Activator. These two work in synergy with each other like so:-

Step One
After cleansing and toning as usual, I applied around 5-6 drops of the Exquisite Facial Oil, massaging it in in an upwards motion.  There's a handy how-to guide included in the set that you can refer to.  This facial oil features a blend of Witch Hazel, Sweet Almond and Rosehip Oils, plus Calendula, Marula and Rose oils which all work their magic to hydrate, repair and heal the skin.

Step Two
Next I sprayed around 5 or 6 pumps of the Hydra-Activator into the palms of my hands and gently massaged this into the skin, again using the upwards motions.  This is water and peppermint based and works to increase the absorption of the Facial Oil into the skin.  It feels wonderfully refreshing and spa-like!

The results?
After the first use, I did experience a minor breakout on my chin which I put down to using too much of the Facial Oil.  The next time I tried it, I used half the amount and my skin was much happier and more receptive, so you can definitely reduce or increase the amount needed to suit your skintype.  I've noticed that my skin is now a lot softer and smoother than it was before, so if you have wrinkles or fine lines, this is certainly one to try as I imagine the results will be even more noticeable for mature skin.  As the system also works to prevent premature aging, I'm hoping that it'll help in the long term!

Kimia Rejuvenating Facial System* retails for £74 and is currently available with a free Eye Serum worth £49 from naturisimo.com

  1. I adore the scent of the oil, not been testing long enough to see any real difference to the skin but like you said they work well as a pampering treat and the skin feels very soft afterwards Xx
