Autumn's a fun time for us beauty junkies, with so many shiny new releases popping up.  One brand who always bring out a good collection this time of year are Laura Mercier and I have some pieces from it to share with you today.

Laura Mercier Sensual Reflections Collection Autumn/Fall 2014 promotional shot

One of the things that I love the most about Laura Mercier, is that their seasonal makeup collections are always blissfully on-trend, but never gimmicky.  The packaging is always sleek and simple, and the products are just gorgeous.  Their new collection for Autumn/Fall this year is called 'Sensual Reflections' (promo shot above) which is mysterious, sultry, seductive but very classic too.  It features 8 brand new Limited Edition products and a handful of much loved repromotes.  Let's take a closer look at some of the make-up that's out on counters now.

Laura Mercier Lip Glace in Desire (Limited Edition, £19.50)
LM does excellent lip gloss in the form of their iconic Lip Glaces.  Think non-sticky, buildable pigmentation/coverage, lots of shine and a moisturising formula with a vanilla scent/flavour.  The new shade Desire definitely takes me out of my neutral comfort zone and straight into the Autumnal berry/vamp trend, with the touch of blue and red micro shimmer making it a smoother and more wearable transition.

Laura Mercier Creme Smooth Lip Colours in Sienna, Plumberry & Cocoa (Repromotes, £21 each)
I've raved about these Creme Smooth Lip Colours before and they still remain one of my favourite high-end lipstick formulations.  These three shades all have incredible pigmentation, but can be layered to be worn however you choose.  You can gently pat them into the lips for a subtle stain or layer them on for full opacity.  The formula is moisturising and glossy, plus I find them relatively long-wearing as well.  Sienna is a classic brick red, Plumberry is medium warm raspberry pink and Cocoa is a rich warm chocolate.

Laura Mercier Cheek Melange in Sensual Reflections (Limited Edition, £31)
The centerpiece of the new collection is this Limited Edition Cheek Melange.  It's a beautiful blusher-meets-highlighter all in one shade that adds an incredible natural looking glow to the cheeks but I was slightly disappointed by the colour payoff.  On my light olive complexion it works better as a highlighter, but I'm not sure that it even show up on darker skintones as I really had to layer it to get the result in the swatch.  I think fairer skintones will get the most benefit out of this one.

Laura Mercier Satin Matte Eye Colours in Gold Seduction & Plum Allure (Limited Edition, £19 each)
I often bypass single eyeshadows these days, but these new Satin Matte Eye Colours are not to be missed.  The formula is out of this world and unlike anything I've ever tried before.  They are the silkiest, buttery smooth powder eye shadows out there and remind me of a cream - it's honestly strange that they're powders!  Pigmentation is fantastic with a strong reflective silk look finish that's softer and more wearable than a standard metallic.  Over a primer, these lasted all day and night without any creasing or smudging and when I applied them, there's zero fallout.  Amazing.  Gold Seduction is a classic antique/bronzed gold and Plum Allure is a rich plum brown with gold and red undertones.

Laura Mercier Creme Eyeliner in Envy (Limited Edition, £19)
Another product that makes me want to step out of my comfort zone is the new Creme Eyeliner in Envy.  I'm a slave to black liner, but something about this richly pigmented, dark green shade makes me want to wear it all Autumn long.  Formula again is fantastic, creamy and doesn't drag, plus is virtually budge-proof once applied and reminds me of Bobbi Brown gel liners.

Laura Mercier Caviar Eye Stick in Burnished Bronze (New shade, £17)
And as a little bonus, I wanted to give a special mention to one of the brand new Caviar Eye Stick shades.  I love these creme eyeshadow sticks because they're so easy to apply and great to have in your travel makeup bag because they're slim.  They're long-lasting, don't crease on me and are richly pigmented as you can see above.  Burnished Bronze is a gorgeous new addition to the line!

The new Laura Mercier Sensual Reflections collection* is available now from all Laura Mercier counters (and online) in Space NK, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Harrods, House Of Fraser and Thomas Brown Ireland.  To find your nearest stockist visit lauramercier.com
