Aveda Botanical Kinetics Skincare Review
I've been testing out some products from Aveda's new Botanical Kinetics range for the past month, so I think it's time for me to share a review of this luxury skincare line.

Aveda's Botanical Kinetics line has recently launched three new essentials to help replenish and protect the skin.  Using naturally derived ingredients that help to deliver intense hydration and moisture, these products are ideal for those suffering from the cold effects of Winter.  Sounds promising!

Aveda Botanical Kinetics Intense Hydrating Soft Creme* (50ml, £35, link)
This 98% natural daily moisturiser features a plant based complex that has two key 'hero' ingredients. The first is called Salicornia Herbacea, a seashore plant which has unique hydrating properties and really helps the skin to absorb as much moisture as possible.  The second is sustainably sourced, certified organic, Cupuacu Butter, which contains lipids which are similar to the skin's own and helps the skin to retain moisture for about 24 hours.  The moisturiser has a lovely lightweight texture to it and it sinks into the skin quickly without any greasiness.  The scent is also beautiful - subtle and fresh with organic Rose, Geranium, Neroli and Sandalwood essential oils.  My skin instantly felt softer and the persistent dry patches that I've had around my nose disappeared within 3 days of this.  A great one to try that would be suitable for most skin types.

Aveda Botanical Kinetics Intense Hydrating Rich Creme* (50ml, £35, link)
The Rich Creme is 97% natural and has a thicker, more buttery consistency than the Soft Creme. This one is for those who have dry to very dry skin and as I have combination skin myself, it's far too heavy for me to use on a daily basis.  I've been trying it out sparingly as a night cream instead, 1-2 times a week, and it's been fantastic for giving my skin a hydration boost.  The ingredients are very similar to the Soft Creme (still has those same hero plants in the formula) and the scent is the same too.  Dry skin will drink this up!

Aveda Botanical Kinetics Energizing Eye Creme* (15ml, £28, link)
A 98% natural eye cream that features three hero plant based ingredients.  There's Licorice Root which is know for its soothing properties and which helps to reduce the appearance of dark circles; Plant based Caffeine to reduce puffiness and certified organic Cupuacu Butter to deeply hydrate the undereye area.  I can't say that I've noticed any change in my dark circles since using this yet but I have noticed that my undereye areas are super smooth to the touch which makes applying concealer much easier.

Aveda's Botanical Kinetics range is available from Aveda salons, spas, stores nationwide as well as direct from aveda.co.uk

Have you tried / do you use anything from Aveda's Botanical Kinetics range?

  4. I've not tried any Aveda skincare, although I do love their haircare, so maybe it's time I give their products a go. I use the La Roche-Posay Toleriane line for moisturiser atm, as it's super hydrating, yet doesn't cause my skin any aggravation. My face is pretty dry, so the Riche Creme sounds like it'd be right up my street!
