February Empties / Products I've Use Up

Sunday 1 March 2015

It's Empties time once again!  Here are all of the products that I managed to finish off in February, my final thoughts on them and whether I'll be repurchasing any or not.

Trilogy Gentle Facial Exfoliant*
This is one of my favourite manual exfoliators and the second tube that I've gone through now.  It's the most gentle scrub I've tried from any brand, so I often found myself reaching for it when my skin was feeling a little sensitive because it didn't upset it.  I love the thick creamy texture that it has too. Repurchase?  Yes.

Tea Tree Oil
A natural, multi-purpose beauty staple that I always have to have.  I wrote a Top 10 Ways To Use Tea Tree Oil post last year if anyone's looking for ideas of how to use this fantastic essential oil. Repurchase?  Already have!

Percy & Reed No Fuss Flawlessness Dry Conditioner*
I didn't find this all that effective as a dry conditioner as such, but as a general dry shampoo it was brilliant. Didn't leave a white cast, absorbed excess oil, gave a bit of volume and added some extra shine too. Repurchase? Yes, once I've used up some dry shampoos.

Bio 2 You Organic Radiant Skin Mask*
This face mask is another product that I've used a tube of before and really love.  It's a lovely hydrating mask with Seabuckthorn and Hyaluronic Acid that I like to use after detoxing/clay masks to put the moisture back into my skin.  Amazing for dry, Winter battered skin too. Repurchase? Yes.

LUSH Turkish Delight Shower Smoothie
A nice pampering treat that I reach for every now and again.  It's got a thick, buttercream style texture and it strongly scented of roses and soap.  Always makes my skin feel really soft and fresh afterwards.  Repurchase? Will do once I've used some similar products up.

Claudia Louch Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover*
I was sadly disappointed by this and feel that it's simply too gentle for my needs as it doesn't remove waterproof or stubborn mascara which is what I wear a lot of.  Used it up on days when I was wearing mineral based formulas and it was great with those.  Repurchase?  No, not for me.

Herbfarmacy Marshmallow & Vanilla Lip Balm
Loved this, really moisturising, tastes great and does the job perfectly.  I think this is my second or third tube. Repurchase?  Will do in the future - I have way too many lip balms to use up at the moment!

L'Occitane Precious Eye Balm
I like this a lot and have used it before - it's more of a gel like cream than a balm and really sinks in to deeply hydrate the undereye area.  Repurchase?  I'm trying a Liz Earle one at the moment, but may return to this at a later date.

What beauty products have you used up recently?

    1. Yeah it's a bit of a strange product if you try to use it as intended! Definitely give it a go as a dry shampoo BUT use less than you normally would - I found the can lasted me ages! xx
