I have a penchant for all things sweet; be it food or drinks, I most definitely have a sweet tooth! Maybe then it's no surprise that I like sweet scented things as well, especially when it comes to perfumes and body products.
The Limited Edition Angel Eau Sucrée from Thierry Mugler was released earlier this month and is a new interpretation of Mugler's much loved Angel fragrance (which I love and have reviewed in the past here). The new Angel Eau Sucrée comes packaged in a cool candy striped box and features an equally cool and chic bottle that has embossed sugar like sprinkles on it.
The scent though is something quite special and very different from any other fragrances I've tried recently.
It's like they have taken the original Angel fragrance and poured different types of sweetness all over it. There are tangy top notes of Red Berry Sorbet, heart notes of sugary Caramelised Meringue and a solid base of Patchouli and Vanilla.
I was worried that the resulting fragrance was going to be far too cloying given that description, but they've managed to capture a wholly sweet scent and make it thoroughly wearable and delicious. It's softly sweet, not over the top or in your face and lasts well throughout the day or evening. If you're a fan of the original Angel perfume, I imagine you'd love this one, and if you just like overall sweet scents, it's definitely worth spritzing on your wrist the next time you walk pass a counter.
Thierry Mugler Angel Eau Sucrée* retails for £45 (50ml) and is Limited Edition for Summer 2015. Available from various stockists - to find your nearest visit mugler.co.uk
