Unbelievable Health Bee Prepared Daily Defence Immune Support & Max Strength Immune Support review
Cold and flu season is sadly upon us, but if you want to give your immune system a natural based helping hand this Winter, read on!

As a general rule, I try to stick to a decent healthy diet and do my fair share of exercise, but I'm not always great at keeping to it and good intentions can soon turn awry when work/uni/life in general gets busy and stressful. To attempt to rectify this, I take a daily multivitamin and as well as additional supplements for things like Iron, Zinc and Selenium.

I've recently tried out these two immune boosting supplements from Unbeelievable Health which both have unique blends and feature Bee Propolis as a key ingredient. They don't have any ingredients that are common in other multivitamins or the average daily diet, so this appealed to me hugely as an additional supplement that I could happily take with my current routine.

Based on immune strengthening ingredients which are located in nature from bee hives, fields and forests, the Bee Prepared Daily Defence Immune Support features Bee Propolis, Black Elderberry, Olive Leaf, Beta Glucans, and Acerola Cherry, to help support the body's natural defences. The capsules themselves are easy to swallow and the supplement as a whole is Vegetarian Society approved. They're recommended for anyone to use, and children under 12 can be given half doses by opening up the capsules and blending into juice, smoothies, yoghurt etc. It states that you can take up to 4 capsules a day, but I only took 1 per day to try them out.

The Max Strength version is similar to the Daily Defence in its base composition, but features added Reishi Mushroom and Astaxanthin extracts to really up the ante. These ones are designed to be taken when you first feel the symptoms of a cold or flu coming on or when you're starting to feel run down and under the weather. As before, these are Vegetarian Society approved and the same dosages apply.

What did I think?
It's always difficult to review supplements as they are definitely something that usually need to be taken long term before you start to see any results. With the Daily Defence ones, I didn't notice any changes during the 30 days that I took them, but I would repurchase them and take them for longer as I think the ingredients are quite unique and I'm interested to see if they would help on a more regular basis. However, I took the Max Strength capsules when I had a cold coming on and do feel that the cold ran its course a little quicker than what I've experienced in the past. Generally, I'll have a cold and feel rotten for about a week, but with these I did feel like I was on the mend after about 3-4 days instead which is interesting, so I'd definitely use these again in the future.

Have you tried any of these?

  5. I've never actually taken any kind of supplements/vitamins (part from the time I was pregnant) but this time of year my immune system can be quite low at times so definitely something worth thinking about x
