You Beauty Discovery Box - December 2015 review
The December beauty boxes are always ones that I look forward to, and I'm more than pleased with You Beauty Discovery's offering this month.

The theme for December's You Beauty Discovery is predictably called 'Winter Wonders' and boasted an enviable shortlist of products to choose from - one of the best I've seen from them all year. For my box, I picked the following:-

Creme De La Creme Ylang Ylang & Cedarwood Spa Massage Candle (mini size, RRP £6.95)
I have an automatic gravitational pull towards candles at this time of the year, so it was inevitable that I was going to go for this mini one. I haven't heard of this brand before, but this is one of their Spa Massage Candles which can be used in 5 different ways, but the general concept seems to be that it's made from skin pampering oils, so you light it, let it turn to liquid, blow it out and then use the oil to massage with for a sensual, skin softening experience. It smells amazing (I do love anything Ylang Ylang and Cedarwood is a firm favourite too), so I'm really looking forward to trying it out.

Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow (full size, RRP £6.90)
I've been wanting to pick up one of these eyeshadow sticks from Kiko for ages as everyone and their Gran seems to rave about them, and now I can full appreciate the hype! I received the shade 06 Golden Brown which is a gorgeous metallic, chocolate brown taupe-y shade. It glides on super smoothly, blends out beautifully and is so easy to wear - just swipe it all over the lid and you're done! Best of all, this bad boy does not smudge or budge until you want to remove it, so it definitely lives up to its long-lasting claims. Problem now is that I want one in every colour....

I'm not overly fussed with the two little extras that YBD included, but for anyone who is interested, these are a 1ml sample sachet of Studio 10 Miracle Effect Priming Serum and a 0.8ml sample of Narcisco Rodriguez Narcisco Eau de Toilette.

You Beauty Discovery Box is £6.95 per month incl p&p. To find out more and to sign up, visit here.

  1. I went for the candle too - it was smaller than I expected haha! I decided against the Kiko Eyeshadow Stick only because I thought I may get a shade I already have. Funnily enough I do already have this shade! I went for the mini Pixi Glow Tonic instead xx

    1. I wasn't quite sure what to expect size-wise with the candle, but agree it's definitely on the mini size! Ah yes, that's the problem when they don't specify or let you choose the shades, you always run the risk of getting one you've already got! I would have gone for the Pixi Glow Tonic in that situation as well xx
