9 Amazing Winter Skin (and hair) Saviours
With the promise of some snow and sub-zero temperatures on the way later this week, I wanted to share some of my new favourite Winter Saviours to help save your skin, body and hair from the cold.

For The Face
Angela Langford Rest & Regenerate Repairing & Nourishing Night Balm* (30ml, £39, link)
One of the easiest ways to prepare your skin for the colder weather is to swap your night cream for a leave-on balm instead. This one from Angela Langford is an absolute treat for dry  and dehydrated complexions as it's rich in Antioxidants, Vitamins & Omega Oils to help repair and hydrate the skin overnight. The formula contains lots of nourishing ingredients like Shea Butter, Organic Avocado Oil, Pumpkin Oil, Macadamia Oil, Argan Oil and Jojoba Oil to name a few. It's 100% natural and 77% organic, plus a tiny amount goes a long, long way.

Aveda Intensive Hydrating Masque* (150ml, £25.65, link)
If you need a quick fix, Aveda's Intensive Hydrating Masque gets to work in just 5-10 minutes and skin feels immediately plumped up and hydrated afterwards. It applies as a clear mask and my skin just drinks it in. A must-have for this time of the year.

Bee Good Youth Enhancing Hydrate, Smooth & Prime Serum* (30ml, £25, link)
Make-up always looks best when it's applied on smooth skin and if yours is suffering from dry patches due to the cold weather, this primer is your skin saviour. Full of natural key actives like Propolis Extract, Camelina Oil and antioxidant-rich British Wildflower Honey, a small pea-sized amount is all you need to create the perfect base for make-up.

Epic Blend Hemp Banana Lip Balm* (4.2g, £3.99, link)
I'm a lip balm fiend and always have a few rolling around in various places and pockets. Currently, by my bedside table is this one from Epic Blend which is 100% natural, cruelty-free, gluten-free and non-GMO. Lovely moisturising formula based on simple organic ingredients such as Sunflower Seed Oil, Beeswax, Coconut Oil, Cocoa Butter and Hemp Seed Oil. They have lots of different flavours, but this banana one is good enough to eat!

For The Body
Natural Being Manuka Hand & Body Cream* (100ml, £13.50, link)
If you're looking for a light, non-greasy/sticky and easily absorbed dual purpose moisturiser, Natural Being's Manuka Hand & Body Cream ticks all the right boxes. This isn't a super intensive cream but it makes a great hand cream for busy work desks where you don't want to be waiting around with greasy hands. Equally as good as quick morning body moisturiser, and it smells subtly floral and fresh.

Weleda Skin Food (75ml, £7.95, link)
Now if your body is really, really, really dry and needs something crazy hydrating straight away, I urge you to pick up Weleda's Skin Food asap. This is the holy grail stuff that I reach for when my eczema is flaring up and when my skin is feeling unbearably tight and horrible. Skin Food is a very thick cream that takes a while to fully sink in, but it's worth waiting for. It leaves everything nice and soft afterwards, whilst helping to calm things down in the process. Can also be used sparingly on the face and as an overnight lip treatment.

Dr Organic Virgin Olive Oil Deodorant (50ml, £5.49, link)
It's not often that I mention deodorants but I wanted to include a recommendation as I know a lot of people are switching to using more natural based alternatives. Dr Organic are one of my favourites as they have several different scents and are readily available from places like Holland & Barrett (who often have them on offer!). The Virgin Olive Oil deodorant is the one that I find the most moisturising from the brand and it works really well too.

For The Hair
Macadamia Deep Repair Masque* (250ml, £12.99 from hairtrade.com)
Having dry hair is no fun so I always try to use a good hair mask at least once a week. In my bathroom is this tub of amazingness also known as Macadamia Deep Repair Masque which is still one of the best hair masks I've ever tried. It's thick, works in 7-10 minutes, and deeply moisturises the driest hair, leaving it soft, shiny and frizz free afterwards.

For Everything!
Vita Coco Coconut Oil* (750ml, £14.49, link)
You know those memes where it says coconut oil can fix anything? Well it sort of can! I love multi-purpose products and there's nothing more multi-purpose than Coconut Oil. You can use it as an all over intensive body moisturiser, as a make-up remover, as a hydrating cleanser, as a hair oil/treatment, to nourish brittle nails, not to mention the numerous ways you can cook with it. If you're using coconut oil on your face or body, I would always recommend going for one that's 100% raw, organic and cold-pressed like this one from Vita Coco.
