Green Beauty: Trying Out Ere Perez Makeup - Review & Swatches
Green beauty makeup brand, Ere Perez, are now available in the UK (online via Naturisimo), and I was kindly sent a few of their products to have a play with.

I've never heard of Ere Perez before, so the brand are completely new to me. They're an Austrailian owned company with a Mexican heritage, and their make-up is made from toxins-free, natural, mineral-based formulas (so there are no parabens, talc, mineral oil, lead, petrolatum/paraffin, synthetic fragrances, artificial colours etc). Instead, they use lots of gentle natural ingredients that are beneficial for the skin. In addition, they are cruelty-free, never manufacture using child labour, and have a strong respect for mankind and the environment. Sounds awesome!

First impressions on the packaging: everything from Ere Perez is very sleek with chic white packaging and silver branding. It looks clean and understated, with their compacts feeling sturdy and well made.
Ere Perez Natural Almond Oil Mascara in Black review
Ere Perez Natural Almond Oil Mascara in Black* (10ml, £16.50, link)
The first product that Ere created for her range was this mascara back in 2004, and it's still a bestseller to this date. It doesn't make any crazy claims like most mainstream mascaras make (and let's face it, many of those only disappoint!), but it does promise to help condition and strengthen lashes with Almond Oil and Vitamin E.

This mascara has a traditional bristle brush which coats lashes without clumping them and I found that it wore well throughout the day with no smudging or flaking, plus it's easily removed when you want to take it off. The formula feels a little dry, but the pigmentation is good and it adds enough definition for everyday, normal wear. It's definitely a natural looking mascara only, as it doesn't really lengthen or volumise lashes. A good one to try if you're looking for a new 'green' mascara or have sensitive eyes that are irritated by the ingredients in mainstream ones.
Ere Perez Pure Rice Powder Blush in My Blush review
Ere Perez Pure Rice Powder Blush in My Blush* (15g, £20, link)
This duo powder blush features ground rice particles which give it a super silky-soft texture. Very finely milled, the natural powder formula allows the skin to breathe so it won't clog pores, making it ideal for those with blemish prone skin like myself. Comes in a gorgeous compact with a mirror in the lid.

I have the shade 'My Blush' which has two warm toned 'universal tan' shades - a light and a darker colour, each with a hint of shimmer. Both of the shades are subtle and natural looking on the skin (no scary orange here!), so they're very easy to work with as you can build up the colour as desired. I like to mix both of the shades together which suits my light olive complexion perfectly for a healthy glow. Wear time was around 3-4 hours before I noticed it fading, but I do have oily/combination skin so it may stay put longer if you have drier skin or are using a primer underneath.
Ere Perez Versatile Vanilla Highlighter in Falling Star review
Ere Perez Versatile Vanilla Highlighter in Falling Star* (11g, £17, link)
Hello gorgeous highlighter! I love cream highlighters because they're so easy to apply and this one was really smooth and blendable. Upon opening the compact, I noticed a very subtle vanilla scent and it does indeed contain natural vanilla for texture and fragrance purposes which I think it quite unique.

The shade I have is called Falling Star and it's a beauty. It's a slightly a light beige-pinky toned shade with subtle silver shimmer - natural looking is definitely name of the game again so if you've been wary of trying a highlighter before for fear of looking like a discoball, this will be your perfect match. Again wear time was the same as the blush, but with a shade this pretty I don't mind the touch-ups!
