Currently Loving: Naturisimo - The Ultimate Makeup Discovery Box review

 

Earlier this week, the online beauty retailer Naturisimo, released The Ultimate Makeup Discovery Box which, unsurprisingly, sold out very quickly. I was lucky enough to get my hands on one and it's the best beauty bargain of the year so far!

The Ultimate Makeup Discovery Box is a special one-off 8-piece clean makeup edit which features some of the biggest brand names in the industry such as Kjaer Weis, Jillian Dempsey, ILIA, RMS Beauty and more. With four full-size products, the box is worth a whopping £161 and cost just £22 to purchase from Naturisimo.

RMS Beauty Re Evolve Radiance Locking Primer (travel size)

First up, every great makeup look requires a good primer base and this travel size of RMS Beauty Re Evolve Radiance Locking Primer ticks all the right boxes. It has an innovative, weightless formula which not only helps to grip makeup and keep it in place all day long, but also locks in essential moisture. 

Pai Skincare The Impossible Glow in Champagne (travel size)

I'm a sucker for a gorgeous liquid highlighter and they don't come much more gorgeous than Pai's The Impossible Glow. For the most beautiful dewy glow, simply mix a few drops into your moisturiser, or add directly to the skin for a more intense highlight. This golden champagne shade is universally flattering and perfect for the upcoming party season!

Jillian Dempsey Lid Tint in Peach (full size)

Jillian Dempsey is a celebrity makeup artist that I've come across many times, yet this is the first opportunity that I've had to try one of her products. These Lid Tints have something of a cult following and are packed full of organic ingredients. A peach shade is great for busy mornings when you just want a quick finger-swipe of colour across the lids, and given the creamy compact nature, I'm wondering if this will translate well as a lip and cheek product too?

Ere Perez Jojoba Oil Eye Pencil in Black (full size)

It may not be the most exciting item in this box, but you can't go wrong with a straight up black eyeliner pencil, nor can you ever have too many of them, can you? I've had the pleasure of trying out many Ere Perez products over the years and they are always fantastic quality. This eyeliner pencil is infused with Jojoba Oil for a creamy and easy application that doesn't drag on the delicate eye area.

ILIA Limitless Lash Mascara (travel size)

You guys know that I'm a massive mascara junkie so I was of course delighted to discover a travel size tube of ILIA Limitless Lash Mascara. ILIA are another clean makeup brand that I can't get enough of (their Lipsticks are particularly beautiful) and I have high hopes for this mascara which promises to lentghen, curl and volume, without flaking.

Kjaer Weis Flush & Glow Duo in Sunlit Glow (full size)

The star of the box is without a doubt the full-size Kjaer Weis Flush & Glow Duo which is worth £40 on its own! If you haven't held one of Kjaer Weis' weighty metal compacts in your hand, then I urge you to add it to your Christmas wishlist; they are true works of art and refillable so you can treasure them forever. Back to this product which features a cream blush and bronzer in Sunlit Glow, this compact is super easy to work with and blends like a dream.

Vapour Beauty Lip Nectar in Tempest (full size)

A makeup discovery box is not complete without a lipstick and wow, what a beauty this one is! Vapour Lip Nectar is a moisture-rich lippy packed full of nourishing organic ingredients so it glides on effortlessly and feels wonderfully hydrated; a fab choice for Winter. The shade Tempest looks quite dark in the bullet, but it's actually very light and buildable as you can see in the swatches below.

SBTRCT Makeup Melt (travel size)

A new-to-me brand, SBTRCT specialise in solid, plastic-free skincare and their Makeup Melt is a gentle but effective bar that melts away all traces of makeup when you add a little warm water to it. I love the smell of this and will definitely be checking out more from this interesting brand in the near future.

Limited Edition: Naturisimo Team Picks Exclusive Discovery Box 2022 review

 

I'm a huge fan of the Naturisimo Discovery Boxes and their latest edit of 'Team Picks' is one of their best to date! Winner of the Beauty Shortlist Award 2022 for the Best Green Beauty Box, these boxes are a fantastic way to explore and try out a wide range of natural beauty brands and products.

Worth £134, the strictly limited edition Naturisimo Team Picks Exclusive Discovery Box features eight all-time beauty favourites which have all been hand-picked by the team, and these ladies not only have exceptional taste, but they certainly know a thing or two about green beauty!

I was immediately drawn to the box when I saw it advertised via their Instagram because it contains a good mix of products that I've tried and loved myself in the past, as well as several 'new-to-me' discoveries.

Here's a rundown of everything that's inside:-

Caudalie Vinopure Purifying Gel Cleanser (travel size)

Caudalie is one of those French natural brands that I've used a lot of over the years, but this particular cleanser is one that I haven't yet tried. From the brand's popular Vinopure range for combination and acne-prone skin types, this Purifying Gel Cleanser is 99% natural and free from a long list of 'nasties'. I love to use a refreshing gel cleanser during the warmer summer months so this looks perfect!

OSKIA Renaissance Mask (travel size)

OSKIA Renaissance Mask is a cult skincare favourite across the world, and I've personally loved this face mask for nearly 10 years, having first reviewed it in a 'Worth The Hype' feature back in 2015. That said, I've only purchased the full size two or three times, and always when it's been on offer because the full size retails for about £68 (insert crying emoji face), so I'm always more than happy to pick up a travel size pot whenever I can. This face mask is one of the best quick fixes out there for dull skin as it makes your complexion noticeably brighter after just one use, and it's amazing for getting rid of clogged pores and impurities. 

Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Anti-Wrinkle Booster Serum (travel size)

This one's another product that I've used and loved in the past, and like the OSKIA mask above, it also comes with a hefty luxury price tag, so again I'm thrilled to have a mini version back in my stash. Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Anti-Wrinkle Booster Serum is a must-try for those who are 30+ and are starting to get those first visible signs of ageing, as well as for older skincare fans who are looking for a natural and green alternative. The secret behind this serum lies in the specialist blend of fruit stem cells used and there's some very interesting tech that the brand has invested in which sets them apart. Antipodes Divine Face Oil (travel size)

Regular readers will know that I adore Antipodes and they have been featured as favourites of mine on this blog for many, many years! I love this Divine Face Oil, which is rich in plant-based oils such as Rosehip and Avocado, because it's brilliant to use for an evening facial massage, and it's particularly great for tired and stressed skin. Packed full of nutrients and essential fatty acids, it really does deliver many benefits for your skin to keep it hydrated and happy. My full-size product review is here.

Ere Perez Moringa All-Beauty Crème (full size, RRP £33.80)

Moving onto the first full-size product of this discovery box, Ere Perez Moringa All-Beauty Crème has been recommended to me so many times by fellow bloggers and skincare gurus, that I've honestly lost count. I've been meaning to try it out for a long time so thank you to Naturisimo for finally bringing it into my life! Suitable for all skin types, this daily moisturiser is an 'all-rounder' as it can be used as both a moisturiser and makeup primer. It has a light texture that's quickly absorbed and leaves skin glowing.

Kosas LipFuel Hyaluronic Lip Balm in Flow (full size, RRP £18)

You guys know how much I love lip balms and naturally, I was excited when I saw this one from the mega-hyped LA brand Kosas, in the box. Their LipFuel Hyaluronic Lip Balm is indeed infused with Hyaluronic Acid in addition to a number of other skin-loving ingredients, to deliver advanced lip care and comfort without the need for constant reapplications. As an added bonus, it's tinted so this shade Flow adds a wash of warm beige for a 'my lips but better' finish.

Aromatherapy Associates De-Stress Muscle Bath & Shower Oil (travel size)

Back to another long-time favourite of mine, Aromatherapy Associates Bath & Shower Oils are some of the best on the luxury market and their De-Stress Muscle blend provides ultra-soothing relief for aching muscles and joints. Key ingredients include lavender, rosemary and ginger for a warming bathtime treat.

Anatomē Lavender Recovery & Sleep Oil (travel size)

Last, but not least, we have the Anatomē Lavender Recovery & Sleep Oil. Described as a best-selling essential oil blend centered around three different types of lavender with proven relaxing and sleep-inducing properties, this handy travel size can be easily applied to your pulse points as and when you need it.

Currently Loving: Ere Perez Sesame Lip Liners - Review & Swatches

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! For the most kissable day of the year, I just had to feature these amazing Sesame Lip Liners from Ere Perez which I've been wearing practically every day since they arrived a couple of weeks ago. To say I'm smitten with them is an understatement!

Ere Perez are an Australian luxury, natural, cruelty-free makeup brand who I've reviewed several products from in the past (you can check out those here). A while ago, they underwent something of a makeover with streamlining their packaging and changing up some of their formulas, so it's been a pleasure to revisit them to see what's changed and what's new.

As many of my regular readers will know, I'm obsessed with lipsticks and lip liners, and when I saw Ere Perez's Sesame Lip Liners they were very quickly added to my online LoveLula basket! 

There are only three shades available at the moment which is a little disappointing for a makeup junkie like myself, however, the good news is that all three are absolutely beautiful and very wearable. In fact, if you currently don't have any lip liners in your makeup collection, these would make an excellent purchase to start you off in the right direction as they can be easily paired with most 'everyday' neutral colours of your favourite lipsticks.

What I love the most about these Sesame Lip Liners is that they're made with natural plant waxes such as Carnauba and Candellia, plus they're infused with Sesame, Jojoba and Sweet Almond Oils and have added Vitamin E. This formula makes the liners super easy to use as they're creamy, matte, glide on without dragging and I've found them to be long-lasting as well. You can use them as intended to line your pout, and I've also been enjoying wearing them all over the lips as you'll see in my swatches below.

If you're looking for a lip liner with natural ingredients, brilliant matte pigmentation, easy to wear shades and a long-lasting finish, I think you'll love these as much as I do!

 Ere Perez Sesame Lip Liner in Shy* 

Shy is a universally pleasing nude colour that will suit a range of skin tones. I have so many lipsticks in my collection that this works so well with, and as you can see, it's gorgeous just on its own as well. Perfect with a smokey eye for your next date night!

Ere Perez Sesame Lip Liner in Sweet*

If you're more of a fan of pretty pinks, Sweet is the one for you. This creamy, nude pink is the ideal match for many light-medium pink lipsticks and is another colour that looks beautiful worn simply all over the lips.

Ere Perez Sesame Lip Liner in Naughty*

The last shade is Naughty and this cheeky nude is a touch darker than Shy above, so it goes well with lots of on-trend, 90s nude lippies that lean more towards the darker beige/brown side of the colour spectrum. It's another one that looks great on its own too!
