November Empties / Products I've Used Up

Sunday 1 December 2013

Oh yes, another month is over with so it's Empties time once again!  Here are my overall thoughts on these products, including which ones I'll be repurchasing again in the future.

Louise Galvin Nourishing Shampoo & Conditioner*
I'm sure I've said this before, but I'm terribly fickle when it comes to haircare stuff and take forever to use up bottles of normal shampoo and conditioner because I tend to chop and change between a handful at any one time.  Case in point; I've had these two from Louise Galvin on the go for nearly a year, crazy!  I liked them and thought they were OK, especially for the price, but they didn't wow me.  Repurchase?  Probably not.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Rose & Lavender*
Still a massive fan of the original C&P, and enjoyed using this special edition version from last year which was made in conjunction with the Prince's Trust.  Was lovely to have a subtle rose & lavender scent instead of the normal menthol flavour.  Repurchase?  Sadly was LE.

Naked Orange Blossom Body Wash (review)
Love, love, love these body washes!  Affordable, SLS free and they have gorgeous scents.  This one is especially formulated for sensitive skin and it made mine so soft.  A great, everyday pampering treat - Orange Blossom is definitely one to try if you like citrus meets floral scents.  Repurchase?  Yes.

L'Occitane Rose Petals Hand Cream
This was from their magazine promotion last year - a lovely moisturising hand cream with a nice sugary rose scent.  Repurchase?  I think this was LE only?
Weleda Skin Food*
A total HG product for winter - I finished this tube up at the start of last month and featured the mini size in my Cold Weather Proofing post.  It's a wonderfully thick, multi-purpose cream that you can use to alleviate dryness and I find it particularly good for eczema too.  Repurchase?  Yes.

Laidbare From Dusk Till Dawn Vitamin C Serum*
I'm a huge fan of this.  It's technically more like a standard face oil than a serum as it's very rich and oily so the tiniest amount is all you need.  This bottle has lasted me about 10/11 months, though I have been rotating it with my other favourite face oils.  It's packed full of nourishing ingredients and makes my skin feel unbelievably soft and hydrated.  Repurchase?  Will do once I've used up some similar products.

Burt's Bees Replenishing Pomegranate Lip Balm
An all round good lip balm, did the job, but I wasn't that keen on the taste/flavour.  Repurchase?  No, I much prefer the Honey version instead.

Apivita Express Gold Prickly Pear Face Mask* (review)
A new favourite that I've discovered recently is this amazing face mask from Apivita.  It's for moisturising and revitalising and does both jobs beautifully.  Great pick me up for those suffering from dry, dehydrated or just dull winter skin.  Repurchase?  Yes.

  2. That's a shame that the scent you liked was a limited edition - maybe there will be enough interest in it to persuade them to run it? I keep hearing good things about Apivita, another one for the shopping list! x
