Review: So Susan Lacquerlove Launch Box (UK Nail Polish Subscription Box!)

Thursday 12 December 2013

When the beauty box craze first happened in the UK, many consumers were left wondering when a dedicated make-up or nail polish box would be introduced.  A very, very long time later and there's finally one available thanks to So Susan.

The So Susan Lacquerlove Box promises to be a carefully edited selection of So Susan's 4-Free (free from toluene, DBP, formaldehyde & formaldehyde resin) Nail Lacquers and cosmetics delivered to your door every month, three of which will definitely be Nail Lacquers.  All of the products are full sized (hooray!) and you're able to see exactly what will be in the box.  If you don't fancy it one month, you can simply skip it or there's the option to send it to a friend instead.

The launch box is currently available and contains the following:-

So Susan Nail Lacquers in Raspberry, Pink Guava, Silver Clouds and Mimosa (swatches below) and a Jelly Pong Pong 2-in-1 Eyeliner & Shadow Pencil in Bronze.  (Jelly Pong Pong is made by the same company as So Susan in case you were wondering!
(From L-R: Raspberry, Silver Clouds, Mimosa and Pink Guava)

The Nail Lacquers are great quality, finish with a good shine and lasted around 3-4 days on my nails with minimal tip wear.  The ingredients list is also fantastic (see below for what it doesn't contain) and can be viewed in full on their website.  I think the addition of an extra make-up product, like an eyeliner, works well with the box too, and would definitely appeal to any beauty junkie.

With Christmas on its way, I loved how the Nail Lacquers were all packaged separately, so you could order a box and then split the polishes up to use as stocking fillers and secret santa gifts.  As this is the first launch box, I'm excited to see how So Susan's Lacquerlove will develop in the future months.

The So Susan Lacquerlove box* is currently available as a subscription for £14.95 per month which includes free postage.  All Lacquerlove members also benefit from from an automatic 25% discount off the RRP of all other products available as well as free postage on all orders.  To sign up, visit sosusan.com
