Budget Beauty Review: B. Defined Eyebrow Kit in Dark (Photos & Swatches)

Thursday 15 May 2014

Nicely defined brows can be the icing on the cake when it comes to finishing off your everyday makeup look.  Done correctly, they can instantly make you look younger and much more 'put together' (even if in reality you did your makeup on the train to work because you're running late and are suffering from the mother of all hangovers...!).

B., which is exclusive to Superdrug, have recently launched a rather nifty eyebrow kit this month which makes styling brows a breeze, even for makeup beginners.  The B. Defined Eyebrow Kit comprises of two brow powder shades, a cream highlighter, a setting wax and a mini slanted brush and spoole applicator.  All of this is housed in a compact with a generous sized mirror making it ideal for travelling and handbags.

The powders are very soft and blendable, and the choice of two different brow shades allows you to have full control over the look you want.  So you can easily use more of the darker shade if you want a trendy full brow, a la Cara Delevingne or simply mix the two for a more natural, everyday look.  I really like the handy setting wax too which helps to keep unruly brows in place for most of the day, and although I don't really use the cream highlighter, I feel like it makes the set complete (plus it's always nice to have the option there, even if I don't personally use it all the time).

Before
After

As you can see above (excuse the smudgy liner!), it does a great job at making my brows look thicker and more defined.  I've used the darker shade over most of the brow and added some of the lighter shade at the front for a more natural looking finish.  I set it with a smidge of the wax and added a tiny bit of the cream highlighter under the center part of my brow to give you an idea of what it looks like.

B. Defined Eyebrow Kit* retails for £9.99 and is available in two shade options, Light and Dark, exclusively from Superdrug.  The B. range is BUAV cruelty free approved, paraben free and suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

  4. This looks lovely. I normally just use the dark matte brown in the Sleek palette but I'm not sure it matches too well.

    1. In the Storm palette? I used that for ages! Often go back to it, but I sometimes think it's a little too light for me x

  5. I've gotten to used to tinted grow gels I don't think I could work with powders. There seem to be lots of brow powders available on the high street now though!

    1. Tinted brow gels are great, though I find some of them aren't dark enough for my brows :(
