Skincare Saviour: Indie Lee Clearing Mask review

A while ago, I was lucky enough to win this Indie Lee Clearing Mask from the lovely Ana in her blog giveaway.  Having never tried anything from the brand before (and due to suffering from a time of the month breakout), I eagerly slathered it onto my face.

I was so impressed with the results first time around that I was tempted to write a glowing review of it right there and then.  However, I know from past experience that some skincare products can wow at first, but dull down after repeated use.  So I held off and have been using this on a near fortnightly basis for the past 2/3 months.

I am still seriously impressed!

Indie Lee's Clearing Mask has become my favourite clay based treatment to reach for when my skin is playing up.  The current crown holder was the much famed Eve Lom Rescue Mask but I think the Indie Lee is a fantastic (and slightly cheaper) dupe for it with regards to the results it delivers.  They even smell almost the same, but Indie Lee's Clearing Mask just works faster and better for me.

It's packed full of Bentonite clay which I find is a little less drying than the Kaolin clay that's in the Eve Lom Rescue Mask, and also has Salicylic & Fruit Acids, plus Hyaluronic Acid to be more gentle and less stripping on the skin.  I apply a small amount of the thick formula onto my troublesome t-zone, and sometimes my cheeks if I'm having problems there.  I leave it on for around 15-20 minutes, during which time it'll have dried and tightened on the skin.  After washing it off, my skin is left unbelievably clean, completely de-clogged and de-junked, super smooth and looking much clearer.  Thumbs up!

Indie Lee Clearing Mask (48.2g, £32) is available in the UK from abeautifulworld.co.uk
