Green People are currently running a series of daily special offers to promote Organic Beauty Week.  Today's offer is giving customers who purchase their Volumising Mascara a free Anti-Age Eyeliner Pencil worth £10.95.  So let's take a closer look at these two organic makeup products.

Green People Volumising Mascara in Black* (7ml, £14.75, link)
I love mascara but haven't tried many from the 'green' / natural makeup spectrum.  Green People's Volumising Mascara is free from lots of nasties such as phthalates which a lot of people are beginning to avoid due to their links with disrupting hormones and the central nervous system. Instead, the formula is 98.4% natural, of which 15.4% of the ingredients are organic (certified by Eco Cert), and it features Vitamin E, Beeswax and Sunflower Oil to care for and condition your delicate eyelashes.  Now because it's phthalates free, it's not going to give you the same crazy lengths that you can achieve with some of the highstreet/mainstream mascaras, but you can certainly build some length with it as you can see below.  What I love the most about this mascara is that the rubber bristle brush separates like a dream and it really helps to hold a good curl.  If you're looking to switch to a natural mascara and want one that's affordable too, this is certainly one to try.

Green People Anti Age Eyeliner Pencil in City Grey(£10.95, link)
A Beauty Bible Awards winner, Green People's Anti Age Eyeliner Pencil is 100% natural and contains 14.3% organic ingredients.  It's packed full of Shea Butter, Vitamin E and Jojoba Oil which means that this eyeliner is easy to blend and moisturising too (great if you suffer from dry eyes like I do).  The pencil is soft and doesn't drag, yet firm enough to get a precise line and it lasted well throughout the day.  I have the shade City Grey which is a beautiful slate grey shade that makes a difference from my usual black.  This would look amazing gently smudged out for a sultry smokey eye!

  4. I've only tried one green mascara before and it did nothing for my lashes at all. This looks like it has given your lashes some oomph but in a very natural looking way xx
