October Favourites

Tuesday 4 November 2014

October was another busy for me, and I think my favourites reflect that somewhat.  I've chosen a good mix of skincare, pampering treats and a brand new lipstick love.

Therapie Rogues Oneil Himalayan Detox Salts
My rave review of these incredible bath salts was one of the most popular posts last month and I'm really not surprised.  The hype around these is absolutely justified and I may have treated myself to another bag of them already!  If you have trouble sleeping, you need to try these out.

Organic Surge Lavender Meadow Super Rich Body Butter*
I'm a huge fan of Organic Surge and my dry skin has been drinking up their Super Rich Body Butter which is just as good as it sounds.  It's a thick and nourishing body butter made with cocoa and shea butters that leaves skin beautifully silky soft and delicately scented with calming lavender.

LUSH Turkish Delight Shower Smoothie
Sticking with dry skin saviours, I re-discovered Turkish Delight in a recent Shopping My Stash post and don't know why it ever left my bathroom in the first place.  It's a gorgeous rose-scented luxury pampering treat that you use in the bath/shower instead of your regular shower gel.  Great for when your skin needs some extra hydration.

Nourish Kale Enzymatic Exfoliating Cleanser*
Nourish do amazing organic skincare and their latest release is even better than I expected it to be.  This 3 in 1 miracle worker can be used as a cleanser, exfoliator and a face mask, and I found that a little goes a long way with it so you get plenty of bang for your buck.  It uses Kaolin Clay and Kale Extract to draw out impurities and is packed full of vitamins to protect the skin from stress and pollution.  Definitely one I'd recommend trying out if your skin is looking under the weather!

Proactiv+ Skin Purifying Mask*
I love a good detox face mask and have been impressed by this one from acne brand Proactiv+.  I would use it carefully though because it's very intense and quite stripping, but if you need a one off quick fix for dealing with a particularly bad breakout, it works wonders.

Illamasqua Glamore Lipstick in Rosepout
This was from last month's You Beauty Discovery Box and I have been wearing it constantly.  It's one of those perfect, everyday nude pink shades that just looks chic and pretty.  A great staple to have.

What beauty products have you been loving lately?

  1. I have the detox salts and I’m not sure whether I’m a fan or not! Maybe that calls for a bath tonight...

  5. Rosepout is such a gorgeous shade! I've got a couple of the Glamore Nudes in beauty boxes now, but sadly both were really awful shades for my skintone :(

  6. Turkish Delight sounds lovely and suitable for this time of the year, especially when I get too lazy to rub in moisturizer after. xx
