Shopping My Stash: Easy NYE Makeup for Eyes & Lips

New Years Eve Makeup
I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas!  I've been shopping my makeup stash for tomorrow's NYE celebrations and have rediscovered some new and old favourites for eyes and lips.

As I've been a little under the weather recently, I'm keeping things fairly simple and will be focusing on an easy gold/taupe/neutral shimmery eye and paring that with either a bright, bold red lip, or just a wash of colour depending on how brave I'm feeling!

One of my New Year makeup resolutions will be to make more use out of my single eyeshadows as I often neglect them in favour of palettes, so these are my single and duo picks:-

Terre d'Oc Powder Eye Shadow in Jaipur* - Great all round neutral shade with fine gold shimmer, very delicate and pretty.
No7 Stay Perfect Eyeshadow in True Gold - A subtle wash of yellow gold with lots of shimmer.
Bellapierre Mineral Eyeshadow in Celebration - Gorgeous, vivid, metallic coppery shade for a bold party look.
Daniel Sandler Sheer Satin Shadow in Gilded Taupe* - Beautiful, easy to wear universal shimmery taupe colour with a silky smooth finish and excellent staying power.
Benecos Natural Baked Eyeshadow Duo in Celebrate* - Features two shades, a light cream colour with very fine gold shimmer which looks great in the inner eye corner and a neutral light brown with a touch of silver sparkle blended in.  Can be used dry for a subtle look or wet for a bolder one.

I've stuck with a mainly red/pink toned theme here in a variety of different finishes:-

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Candy Apple - My go-to red when I want something that is super easy to use and apply.  This gives either a simple wash of red with one layer, or more pigment can be achieved by swiping on a second.
Balance Me Tinted Lip Salve in Sheer Raspberry - If your lips aren't in the best condition thanks to the cold weather, this is a good option for those who need some TLC but want a little shimmery gloss too.
Laura Mercier Creme Smooth Lip Colour in Plumberry* - One of my favourites for A/W in general, this is a gorgeous plum-pink/red hybrid of a colour and looks incredibly flattering on a range of skintones.  The formula is also incredible!
B. Brilliant Rich Colour Lip Gloss in Poppy* - For a full on bright and bold classic glossy red pout, this lipgloss definitely ticks all of the right boxes.
Korres Lip Butter in Wild Rose - Another good choice for those who need both colour and lipcare in one - a pretty wash of colour for a subtle look.

What are your favourite makeup looks for NYE?
