S5 Skincare The Vitality Collection review
Just before Christmas I received this nifty little set from S5, the high-end organic skincare brand. The Vitality Collection contains a trio of some of their bestselling products in travel sizes which is an ideal way to try them out before splurging on the full size products.

S5 Illuminate Serum (10ml)
This is a targeted lightening serum that aims to help hyperpigmentation, lighten age spots and even out skintone.  It's formulated with a special 7 Alpine Plant Blend and features two powerful Marine Enzymes (Tibetan Kombuchka and Laminara Ochroleuka) - all of which have been clinically proven to even out skin tone and lighten age spots, as well as improving skin firmness and helping to retain moisture.  The serum is very light and non-greasy in texture, absorbing into the skin straight away.  You only need 2-3 drops each time so this little bottle lasted quite a while!  I used it after cleansing in the evening and before applying my night moisturiser.  I didn't notice any change after a week, but in the second week of using it, I noticed that some of my hyperpigmentation was lightening and my skin felt much smoother than it usually was.

S5 Vitality Mask (15ml)
Dubbed as a 'miracle worker for dull tired skin', this mask has quickly become one of my favourites from S5.  It uses Marine Enzymes to munch away at dead skin cells and leaves your skin looking clearer and brighter instantly - an excellent enzyme exfoliator!  I think this is a great quick fix treatment as it gets to work in just 5-10 minutes and has a pleasant natural/ fresh scent to it.

S5 Renew Serum (10ml)
The renew serum is an anti-aging speciality and helps to combat fine lines and wrinkles by plumping up the skin with natural actives such as Bidens Pilosa, Antarctic Glycoproteins and natural Hyaluronic Acid.  These work together to lock in moisture, increase collagen production and reduce wrinkle depth with their plumping abilities.  I don't have any wrinkles to deal with currently but I do have some fine lines underneath my eyes so I've used this an intensive night eye serum instead.  It does a great job of reducing the appearance of those fine lines but I did notice that the effects were temporary and only lasted a couple of hours.

S5 Skincare The Vitality Collection* retails for £30 and is available direct from s5skincare.com

  1. I really like the serum that's aimed at blemish prone skin, but it just got too expensive to re-purchase xx
