Antipodes Rejoice Light Facial Day Cream & Hosanna H2O Intensive Skin-Plumping Serum review
Throughout Organic September last month, I've been trialling this skincare duo from the much loved natural New Zealand brand, Antipodes. Here are my thoughts on these two blogger favourites.

Antipodes Rejoice Light Facial Day Cream review

Packaged in a recyclable squeezy metal tube like the Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask (which I absolutely love and have repurchased recently - check out my previous review of it here), the Rejoice Light Facial Day Cream has been formulated for normal, combination and oily skintypes. It's made of 100% natural origin ingredients, of which 71% are certified organic. Best of all, this day cream is free from parabens, sulphates, silicones, petrochemicals, mineral oil, synthethic dye and there's no artificial fragrance.

When I first opened up this tube, my nose was greeted with a lovely sweet nutty vanilla scent which comes from the Sweet Almond Oil and natural Vanilla extracts. The moisturiser itself feels amazing on the skin; ultra soothing and gentle thanks to the Manuka Flower Oil which has healing and antibacterial properties, and it's also very hydrating as it uses Shea Butter, Avocado Oil and Rosehip Oil. It feels light when applied and is easily absorbed, but it does come across as quite a rich moisturiser so you only need to use a tiny amount each time and much less than you'd use from a mainstream day cream. I'm a big fan of this as it adds extra moisture to the dehydrated areas of my combination skin and it doesn't overload the oilier t-zone. The scent is just gorgeous too!
Antipodes Hosanna H2O Intensive Skin-Plumping Serum review

With the cold weather looming, I've been bringing out the hydrating serums to the forefront of my bathroom. Certain parts of my face suffer from being dehydrated, regardless of how much water I seem to drink, so I always make sure that I have a good serum on the go to counteract this issue. I've heard a lot of positive things about the Hosanna H20 Intensive Skin-Plumping Serum and having used it for over a month now, I can firmly agree with many other bloggers who also love this.

It's 100% natural and boasts 95% certified organic ingredients which I was quite surprised about seeing how affordable it is compared to other similar natural brands. The serum itself is packed full of Vinaza Grape Antioxidant which comes from Sauvignon Blanc grapes that are homegrown in New Zealand (New Zealand is of course a big wine supplier so this makes sense!). It's this antioxidant helps to 'free your skin from dryness' by deeply hydrating it, and there's also Mamaku Black Fern Extract to help firm, protect and generate healthy cell growth.

The scent is a little strange though (kinda like a slightly spicy floral) but it doesn't linger for long and I always use a night cream over the top anyway. It comes with an inbuilt pipette, and like most serums, you only need to use a really tiny amount each time. I've been using this 2-3 times a week and it leaves my skin feeling wonderfully plumped up and soft. Most importantly, it's been doing a fantastic job of dealing with my dehydrated areas so I've been really impressed with it so far.

Are you a fan of Antipodes?
Have you tried any of these?

  2. Both of these sound so lovely! I'm not a fan of rich moisturisers during the day but I can definitely see myself using Rejoice in the evening. I just bought the Aura mask and used it for the first time last night - I love it, and I'll be buying more from Antipodes for sure! xx
