NUXE Splendieuse Masque review
If you're on a skincare quest for an even and radiant complexion, you may have already heard of NUXE's dedicated Spendieuse line which targets marked dark spots, uneven skintone and pigmentation. One of the star products from the range is the Splendieuse Anti-Dark Spot Perfecting Mask.

I have some uneven skintone on my face but it's not something that generally bothers me. What does bother me are breakouts and dull, tired looking skin, so one of my main skincare goals is to achieve a more brightened and clearer complexion that makes me look more awake and like I've got my shit together (when in actual fact I'm probably running around like a headless chicken stressed out of my mind over something!).

What is it?
Whilst NUXE's Splendieuse Anti-Dark Spot Perfecting Mask is primarily aimed at those who have dark spots (e.g sun spots, ageing spots, hormonal changes spots) and pigmentation, it can also be used by women of all ages as a general brightening mask. After all, 'Splendieuse' is a combination of the French words 'splendide' and 'radieuse' meaning splendid and radiant, so this mask is perfect to use to brighten up dull, tired skin too.
NUXE Splendieuse Masque review
NUXE Splendieuse Anti-Dark Spot Perfecting Mask contains some high performing ingredients derived from precious flowers such as Stargazer Lilys, Porcelain Rose and White Crocus. NUXE claim that these work in synergy with Vitamin C to visibly reduce the appearance of dark spots and activate skin radiance. The brand have some patents pending (one has already been approved IIRC) for this unique formula, so I was eager to test it out for myself.

How To Use?
This a 100% cotton sheet mask soaked in 21ml of serum which is a lot of product when you consider that most full-size serum bottles are around the 30ml mark alone. The mask definitely feels saturated, but it's not to the point where it's dripping or anything like that when you put it on. The cotton sheet mask is easy to apply and fitted me relatively well. I left it on for 10 minutes as instructed and then gently removed it, massaging in the last of the serum.

Results?
My skin felt soft, hydrated and I did see a visible difference in the brightness of my skin after just one use. My complexion looked more glowy and awake so this is a great product to have in your skincare stash if you need a quick fix for dull skin. A little pricey admittedly (it works out at £5 a mask), but as a luxury pampering treat I'd say it's worth it.

NUXE Splendieuse Anti-Dark Spot Perfecting Mask* (6 masks in a box, £30) is available from various stockists including nuxe.co.uk, M&S Beauty, FeelUnique and Escentual.com

Have you tried any of NUXE'S Splendieuse range?

  1. Oooh I love sheet masks - they're a great excuse to lay down and not do anything for a while! I will have to check these out for when I am feeling spendy.
