5 Mini Reviews: Dr, Bronner's, Le Couvent des Minimes, Manuka Doctor, Nude Skincare & St. Tropez
Time for another round of 5 Mini Reviews I think? I've used up these five samples recently which all came into my life via various beauty boxes.

(1) Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap in Hemp Rose
I have been using Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap for years to wash my make-up brushes with (see my old post here), but on occasion I do like to use it in the shower too (well it is multi-purpose after all!). This mini bottle of their Hemp Rose scent is a firm favourite, very fresh and subtly floral, plus it's gentle on sensitive skin and SLS free. Win-win! Buy the full size? Yes.

(2) Le Couvent des Minimes Rose & Berries Hand Cream
This handbag friendly hand cream was such a pleasure to use. It's completely non-greasy/sticky so ideal for using on the go and the scent is lovely in an old-fashioned/traditional rose sort of way. I wasn't aware of this French provenence brand before receiving this product in a beauty box, but I'll definitely be looking into them. If you like L'Occitane hand creams, you'll love this. Buy the full size? Would consider it, yes - I just have too many hand creams to use up first!

(3) Manuka Doctor Rejuvenating Face Mask
I got two applications out of this 7ml tube and I absolutely loved it. Super hydrating as it's enriched with Manuka Honey, Royal Jelly and purified Bee Venom, it left my skin feeling incredibly soft, plumped up and looking more glowy by the next morning. Amazing stuff. Buy the full size? On my wishlist at the moment as the full size jar is £50 :(

(4) Nude Skincare Progenius Rescue Oil
Another expensive product that I fell head over heels in love with is this Rescue Face Oil from Nude. I first tried out a sample of this last year, and ended up buying a whole load more samples online to give it a proper testing out. This face oil is brilliant for calming down breakouts and inflammation, whilst also adding hydration and helping to brighten up dull skin. Buy the full size? Another one that's on the wishlist!

(5) St. Tropez In Shower Tanning Lotion
On paper, this should have been the best product ever, I mean an in-shower tanning lotion sounds like the most convenient and easy way to get your tan on right? Sadly, as much as I wanted this to work for me, it just didn't. I found it dried a little streaky on me and only gave me a tiny hint of colour that didn't change over any time period. I'll be sticking to regular self-tanning methods in the future I'm afraid. Buy the full size? No, just not for me.

Have you tried any samples out lately?

  1. I do like the St Tropez one but it is a bit of a faff! I'm using the gradual tan lotion instead, which works well xx
