Estelle & Thild Biocleanse Deep Cleansing Detox Mask & Radiance Micro Polish review
If you have a rummage through my skincare cupboard, you'll always find a handful of detox masks, and I'm still a fan of a gentle manual exfoliator. Two new additions come from Estelle & Thild, and you may want to add them to your own skincare routine too.

Estelle & Thild are a luxury Swedish certified organic and natural skincare brand with an extensive range of products to suit every skin type and skin concern. They also have a rather lovely looking line of body care (scrubs, washes, oils etc), and their packaging is simply beautiful with illustrations of flowers, pretty prints and elegant typography. E&T are very popular amongst green beauty fans thanks to their sustainable, eco-friendly principles, and the gentle but effective  all-natural ingredients used in their formulas.

I've seen several of their products raved about, but I hadn't gotten around to trying anything from them until now, so I was keen to give their bestselling 'detox duo' a whirl.

Estelle & Thild BioCleanse Deep Cleansing Detox Mask* (75ml, £34.90, link)
As my skin is oily/combination (and definitely more on the oily side now it's nearly Summer), I try to use a good clay based detox face mask once a week to keep everything balanced and in check. This BioCleanse Deep Cleansing Detox Mask uses natural Bentonite Clay to draw out impurities and unclog pores, whilst it has Aloe Vera, Shea Butter and Black Elderflower extract to calm and soften the skin during the detoxifying process.

This mask does an excellent job of drawing all of the rubbish out of your skin, but what I like the most about it is that it doesn't completely 'set' like a lot of clay based masks do, which means that it's far more gentle on the skin as it doesn't dry it out, and the creamy texture makes it a lot easier to remove afterwards. If it's in your budget, this is a great mask to pick up that's suitable for all skin types and gets to work in just 5 minutes.

Estelle & Thild BioCleanse Radiance Micro Polish* (50ml, £25.90, link)
When it comes to manual exfoliators (i.e the ones that have physical 'scrubby bits' to exfoliate your skin with, rather than using chemical or fruit based acids), I have two rules - no polluting plastic microbeads, and they must be gentle. My skin has varying degrees of sensitivity depending on how temperamental it's feeling, so  it doesn't get on well with anything that's going to irritate it or feel too harsh.

E&T's Radiance Micro Polish ticks both of my boxes and is wonderfully gentle as it uses teeny, tiny, natural based micro-crystals to buff away dead skin cells, revealing a brighter, clearer complexion. The micro-crystals almost feel like particles of sand to give you an idea of something to compare them to, and they don't scratch or irritate the skin. Big fan of this and a little goes a long way!

  2. I love that this is a natural brand as I find natural products so much better and a delight to use! :) I feel sad that I've never heard f this brand before so thanks for sharing as I'd love to try them out. The Detox mask sounds so luxurious and perfect for my oily skin as I always prefer using clay formulas to reduce pore size and prevent blemishes x
