The Vegan Kind Lifestyle Box - May 2016 review
I had a bunch of parcels redelivered this morning, and amongst them was this month's The Vegan Kind box which I've been eagerly waiting for.

May's The Vegan Kind box contains six items, five of which are edible and one's a beauty product:-

Conscious Chocolate Mint Hint Organic Raw Chocolate (full size, £2.99)
You can't beat a good dark mint chocolate and this one is a raw, vegan and organic! It's made from 65% cacao solids and is free from dairy, gluten, soya and refined sugars, so lots of people can enjoy it. I had a cheeky nibble earlier and what can I say - it's good!

The Jealous Life Tropical Wonder Sweets (full size, £2.49)
I used to be a big fan of Haribo but since trying to give up animal products, I've been trying out a few different brands of gelatine free sweets but I haven't come across this brand before. These are delicious - very fruity which I love and with a good chewy texture. They are very expensive for such a small 50g box though.

TAPPED Birch Water with Bilberry & Lingonberry (full size, £2.49)
Earlier this year, I wrote a post about Birch Water in one of my Health & Lifestyle features (here) and commented how I wasn't that keen on the taste of it so I'm a little apprehensive to try this! That said, this TAPPED one is blended with Bilberry & Lingonberry so I imagine it will be more palatable than pure Birch Water? Regardless, the packaging is really cool.

Popchips Sea Salt and Vinegar Potato Chips (23g bag, £0.80)
I've had these before and always enjoy eating them with a sandwich instead of regular crisps. As the tagline says, they have 'all the flavour and half the fat' which I'm totally down with.

Friendly Soap Cocoa Butter Facial Cleansing Bar (full size, £2.49)
Handmade using a traditional cold process method, this cleansing bar is made from 1/3 cocoa butter, 1/3 olive oil and 1/3 coconut oil and a little water, nothing else. This sounds great for dry skin and eczema, though I think it might be too rich to use on my oliy/combo face, so I'll be saving it to use on my body in the shower instead.

Creative Nature Peanut Protein Bar (full size, £0.99)
Apparently this is commonly known as a 'healthy snickers bar' minus the chocolate, and is a vegan and dairy free alternative to whey protein bars. This bar gives you 7g of protein, so it's ideal as a post-gym snack or on-the-go breakfast for those busy mornings when you're running late. I like anything peanutty so it sounds good to me!

Also inside this month's box was a recipe card for a Summer Fruity Water drink and 10p of each box sold go to the not-for-profit, Teen VGN's Vegan Summer Camp for young vegans.
