Happy Friday! Hope everyone's got a good weekend planned? This month's The Vegan Kind box turned up bright and early yesterday morning, so if you're curious to find out more about what's inside, keep on reading!
July's The Vegan Kind Box contains eight products and features a mix of sweet and savoury snacks, a drink, and an awesome non-food item.
Oloves Chilli and Garlic Black Olives (30g bag, £1)
I don't know about you, but I love olives and I've seen lots of these cute little snack packs in the supermarkets lately. I haven't tried this particular brand before but they sound great - ripe pitted black olives with chilli, garlic and a touch of harissa - mmmm! Only 50 calories a bag and great to take with you when you're out and about for a healthy snack on the go.
Angelic Gluten Free Chocolate Coconut & Oat Cake Slices (185g - pack of 5 slices, £2.80)
I'm always looking for healthier alternatives to cakes so I was pleased to see this pack from Angelic, a Scottish bakery, in this month's box. These are packed with dates, coconut and oats and have no added sugar, plus they're gluten free too. I couldn't resist having one to try out with my tea this morning and they're good! I was surprised by how filling they are too - one slice is the perfect size for satisfy a sweet cake craving.
Virtue Lemon Ice Tea (330ml can, £1.75)
Unless you're making your own or happen to live next to a Wholefoods, I find it very difficult to find ready made ice tea that isn't full of sugar, but now I've discovered this one! Instead of refined sugar, it's sweetened with stevia and has added vitamins and minerals. At only 63 calories a can, it's definitely a good alternative to something like Lipton Ice Tea.
Yushoi Soy and Balsamic Vinegar Snapea Rice Sticks (21g bag, £0.75)
Quick confession - I am majorly addicted to these and I've tried all of the flavours, ALL of them! My favourite are the Smoked Salt & Szechuan Pepper ones, but these are a close second for me. They're made from a combination of rice and green peas and are baked instead of fried, but still have a satisfying crunch to them. Super moreish and much lower in fat than a regular bag of crisps (and tastier too!). There's also a 50p off coupon included as well which will be put to good use on my next shop.
Goody Good Stuff Cola Breeze Sweets (25g bag, £0.35)
Fizzy cola bottles were a childhood favourite of mine so I'm happy that you can now buy them in a gelatine, gluten and lactose-free variety from Goody Good Stuff. They're not as sour as others that I've tried but they still have a nice tang to them.
Conscious Chocolate Goji and Coconut Mini Bar (15g, £0.80)
Conscious Chocolate is utterly delicious and this flavour is no exemption. Made with organic goji berries, coconut chips and raw cocoa solids for a heavenly chocolate treat that's 'good' for you. 70% cocoa solids and free from dairy, soya and gluten, plus it's low GI as it's only naturally sweetened with agave nectar.
Harper's Bizarre The Raspberry Kind Candle (£5)
The non-food item this month is a handmade soy wax candle from Harper's Bizzare. I loved their Christmas candle from the December box (reviewed here), and this one smells good enough to eat! They've created The Raspberry Kind as an exclusive scent just for TVK and the scent of it is just amazing - sweet, fruity and wonderfully summery. I can't wait to use this later!
Fry's Family Foods Plants Of Fire BBQ Recipe Book
As an extra bonus item this month, TVK have included this little recipe booklet from Fry's. I haven't tried many of their meat-free products so I'm looking forward to picking up a few bits and trying out some of these BBQ recipes which all look delicious. Check out that falafel burger above *drools*.
The monthly recipe card is by Hannah Victoria and she's shared how to create these amazing looking 3 ingredient peanut butter cups. And lastly, July's chosen charity is the Scottish organisation, Hessilhead Wildlife Rescue, who will receive 10p from every box sold. Another great box :)

Ah this sounds amazing! Having a gluten intolerance means I tend to lean towards vegan products and there's so much variety! I love the idea of this, will definitely have to look into getting one. Thanks for sharing!
